Orog break free: 1d20 ⇒ 10

The fire archers see the approach of Jasmalus with fear--his similarity to the dead man found earlier may explain some of their fear. The orcs fire a volley of arrows that cause a huge smoke clouds to appear in a wall of impenetrable black. The orog snaps some of the webbing loose, still hampered he rushes through the smoke and seems to be in full retreat with the fire archers. As the group returns to the caravan, a huge hole in the last wagon is discovered along with another mass of large boxes and supplies.
Returning to the caravan, everyone feels the sense of accomplishment of defeating such a well planned ambush.
Time to level to 2 those who were in both encounters, others are one encounter away.
The caravan is readies for travel, and the last few hours to the village of Batlet is thankfully without incident.
The dilapidated hovels surrounding the fort are the home for about one hundred hardy fishermen and farmers. The fort in the center is officially known as Border Fort Three, but the residents call it by another name: Fort Disaster.
These small border forts didn't have much and were not even named as they provided basic local defense and protection for caravans plying the local trade route. It seems to have suffered much damage from a recent raid, and the damage has yet to be repaired. The centerpiece of the fallen walls and broken gate is a thirty foot high tower in the center with a massive ballista and small catapult. You sense the desperation of the locals and the garrison, placed on the frontier to provide local defense, when what you have seen are highly organized orc war bands.
As the adventurers move into the 'fort' they see a group of spearmen, mostly local fishermen with long sharp sticks, and a few militia in poorly maintained scale mail.
The locals press you for information about the outside world and the war in the south, which you know has been going quite poorly for Taldor.
An old man with scars and a large net approaches. "Is this our relief? Is this is all that is coming?"
Uther waits for the officer to answer, but he understands the man's concern.
He shifts his sword to a slightly more comfortable position and eyes the defenses, trying to judge how well they will hold up.

Well, if Iscarel plays dead, the orcs may be too busy to check. For now.
I was informed pathfinder has horses as ten by ten figures. Without house rules a horse must squeeze to follow someone down a five foot wide trail.
Hopefully you are still happy with your horses.
Plus charging becomes harder with a ten foot wide figure due to: If any line from your starting space to the ending space passes through a square that blocks movement, slows movement, or contains a creature (even an ally), you can't charge.
By RAW a line of a hundred medium cavalry can't charge a line of a hundred infantry and the Budweiser Clydesdales can't pull the big red wagon in twos.
So I guess I hate to depart from RAW, but this will have to be first, and hopefully the last, 'houserule'

Thallan still unconscious? -1 HP at end of combat.
Wait! He should have 11 HP, not 10. Forgot to add Favored Class bonus!

3 channels for 6 hp for everyone. You should be up and about again. Assuming we survive the night, Lorkan should be able to get everyone full up in the morning.

Did we loose Pash? There has been no posting from him since November 30th.

Suffice to say, I have been unable to post while at work and have been coming home late in the evening, tired and fried. I hope to be able to catch up on what has been happening in my games this weekend. If not I will update my status to reflect it.
Feel free to bot me if necessary, I do not want to hold up progress. I really am sorry for both my not being here and me taking this long to even post a generic message.

Thanks Thallan, I didn't realize that was Pesh.
Plan to have roleplay until the weekend. May just set up the combat before the holidays.
Buy the way, I am adding some dialogue to the original module, Paul wasn't that twisted.

Were there any longbows left behind?
Can we buy Potions of CLW? Been playing 30 years, forgot potions. Oy!

If we, for any reason need a player, can check with Baldwin the Merciful (DM) again. I think he didn't have time to put a character together at recruitment.

I fully understand how old age can play tricks on memory.

I didn't sustain any injuries but resources are getting low. We should collect as much of our things as possible, move from this spot, then get a nights rest.

I think Thallan and Ivan are ok now. Not sure about Iscarel, and that should cover all the wounded, no?

I meant for future.
Did we lose Pash and Iscarel?

I think Ivan got back to full surprisingly. Or close enough to heal up the rest in a night of sleep.
M Human Commoner/1, Expert/1
Iscarel's still around for now. I apologise for going AWOL on you guys. I've been checking in whilst unconcious, but really starting to question my ability to post with two summer jobs. I think I have less time than during the semester! I'd hate to drop out with Pash also MIA, however. But I've missed a lot of windows to roleplay and haven't been posting nearly as much as I'd like.
On deliberation it might be best I drop out. My situation's not like to change in the next few months. Sorry guys! :/
It appears we are three. I will recruit two more.

Has Lorkan been so quiet as to escape your attention? We are four, although I am trying to rework Lorkan. I have come to the conclusion that Forrest's personality is too difficult to play for an amateur like me. (I get a feeling of deja vu, like I've thought this before)
Going to think about reworking it a little while keeping the character concept intact.
So, Shandor, Ivan, Thallan, Lorkan. We're missing skills with Pash gone, but surprisingly have arcane, muscles and healing covered. We're close to being able to journey on (although if another 100 orcs come rushing down on us...I kid, I kid).
I liked Iscarel. I was going to have Lorkan keep pinning the heir title and leader of party on him, and see how long I can make that last. I'll miss you both.
I see it's Ivan that has gone rather quiet...I liked him too :(
If you notice--I said we had paladin cleric wizard.
I hope Ivan is still around.

Lorkan is a bit slow to process things. Apparently, it's having an effect on his controller... :)

I've reached out to Baldwin the Mercifal... Rogue, probably.
Hello Lads! I am Sgt Uther of the 3rd Taldan Foot. I have orders for this posting; good to be working with you.
As an infantryman, I am mainly about getting up close and using this here two handed sword
Sgt hoists indicates his back-slung greatsword.
(looking forward to getting up to speed).

"Hello, Sgt Uther. I'm glad to be here also. I believe that I'll be getting closer to our enemies than you, but, that'll only make your attacks more effective."
Gilbert slams his hands together with a resounding crack.
I may get one post in soon to tide us over till New Year.

Quick check with the DM (GM?): someone I'm in a campaign with is doing a Wrath of the Righteous with gestalt. This being my first time, I want to make sure I don't ruin the experience for myself by being in it twice at the same time (I think my brain would explode from having two visions of the story running in my mind). Will we see a lot of what happens in the Wrath of the Righteous story here?
None at all!!!
This story is better!!

Laro Farfeet, checking in. I was in one of the GM's games that ended and he was nice enough to let me in here. We may end up with 2 rogues. If this lasts I'm planning on going Arcane Trickster. Not sure how I should show up in gameplay after you left the fort. I'll come up with something if there are no suggestions.
I am traveling over this week. I will try to post Sunday night.

I’m going to post this just in case someone doesn't know how to add an image to the map. Copy your image from your post to any image editor. I re-sized my image to .45 of an inch and saved it to my desktop. While in the map, select insert, then drop down to image. Drag and drop your image onto the pop up. You can move your image with the arrow keys on the keyboard.
Thanks. I did not know that. I will try to fix what I put in the map soon.

OK, you can move yourself on the map by cutting and pasting your name around. Adding pictures is good too!!
