Me too...have we lost our DM already?I hope not. Sadly that's quite a common occurrence in my (limited) experience.
It happens a lot. DM'ing online is a ton of work. Most games end by the 500th post. Of the 4121 games roughly 1300 games hit that post count. Less than 700 hit the 1000 post mark. Time and commitment on everyone's part.
Hopefully it was just a long weekend.
This would certainly be faster than I'm used to a game going south. Usually you get at least one combat in.
Now, now... let's not lose hope, so quickly.
Based on what Jik is saying it sounds like I really lucked out with the first pbp I joined. We had a few players drop and some join but its been going for a year and we're not far off 4000 gameplay posts.

A long running game that actually has some posts in it is a rarity. To get the information I cited all you have to do is click on the "play-by-post" link at the top of the page. That will get to that section click on the "posts" column and the thread will organize from most posts down to the least.
Our GM has not posted anything in a week. Not what I consider a good sign, but I'm not going anywhere so I can wait.
Still no DM. This does not look promising.

I wish I hadn't been scared by the post rate for your skull and shackles game now tbh! Actually finishing an AP is a bit of a unicorn for me...
Yes, I have the ACG and have read through it some (the parts which interested me). At some point I suppose I need to give it a thorough perusal.
I guess it's safe to say this game is dead.
I just hope its not because of bad news
