Casvian
Casvian pulls out his everburning torch.
"I can't use my weapons, and hold this torch. Could someone who has a free hand hold it?"
Sumatek Auksu
Thanx for gettin me outta there. Let's cut through the rest of these webs and try and find some cover maybe. I know more than 1 bolt was flying my way so there must be a few of them on the other side.
Hp-35/40

Casvian does have a torch that he obtained from the body of an orc in the caves, but it is of mundane quality and not everburning. You are able to cut through the second layer of webbing as you light the torch. Another volley of arrows comes out of the darkness at you. as you do this. Edelle is stricken once in the shoulder blade. 5 damage Sumatek is released from the webbing, tetters for a moment on the balls of his feet, then falls over unconscious from the poisoned bolt that had struck him.
Argent Hellstrike
I'm running low on spells and spell pool guys, and girls
Argent pulls Unraveller whilst speaking the words of aegis. Creating black tendrils of energy to form around him cocooning his body in solid shadow. Unraveller sparks with unholy light as the smell of burnt pine and sulfur fill the air as he speaks the words of flame and agony to it. Sickly green flames ignite from the blade casting strange shadows that move of their own volition.
Standard action: Cast Shield
Minor action: Arcane Spellpool to give unraveller +1 enchantment, and flaming.
Move action:Draw weapon.
Alric
Alric fires an Arrow back at the darkness., and moves to just past the remains of the web.
Perception to pick out the proper square 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Attack 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10 meh, blind firing.
For clarification, Alric actually still has 1 first level slot left. Meant to say that this casting brings me down to my last spell.

I thought I got all my stuff back, sorry about that. What did I get to keep(find again) or are all my starting items gone except for the weapons and armor?
Magnu123
Another volley of arrows comes from the darkness, these target Thundrik, but all miss or are deflected off of his armour. The webbing has been slashed away now and you are finally free to advance. Perception Checks
Round 3 init 23- Sumatek, ???, Casvian

15-Thundrik (botted)
14-Argent
Witness to Change
Witness looks back at her, a strange light gleaming in his eyes. "It is right. It is my time now, and yours will come later. The circle is closed, and your fate hangs there just as mine does." He touches the tattoo on his chest, sweeping branches sheltering many kinds of fruit, each one slightly different. "I look forward to seeing you again."
Magnu123
In future, this is the kind of question for the discussion page, but k(nature) and k(local) would be valid. The DC however is so low that I give it to you. (you've seen it before as well) The drow poison the bolts of their crossbows to gather slaves. It is simply unconsciousness with no inherent negative effects beyond that, meaning that they can make a clean capture and they don't have to deal with near as many slaves injured in transit or during capture. You are permitted to make a heal check as a STD action. (giving +4 for Sumatek's next save.)
Magnu123
It is hard to tell with the darkness and distance, but there appear to be a handful of bodies firing from prone further down the hall. That is all you can tell from here.
Magnu123
Edelle sprints forward at incredible speed, carrying the torch with her. As she approaches, she sees the situation in full. There are three skeletal archers laying prone and firing, Behind those is the ringleader. You meet again with Lashilsh, the Drow Queen. This is the same woman who was there the night of your capture in Startville. As though that were not enough, there are also three zombies and a terrifying zombified drider behind the Drow Queen. The tunnel opens beyond this point into the underground farm. Alric fires his bow at the skeleton. The arrow rattles against the hollow rib-cage and breaks loose some bones. Casvian aswell bounds forward to get a better vantage point after attempting to heal his ally. Thundrik and Argent move up and attend to Sumatek for a moment. As all of this occurs, another volley is fired by the skeletons at Thundrik, all arrows clattering away ineffectively. Lashilsh casts a spell to summon a monster.
Round 4 init: 23- Lashilsh, Casvian
17-Edelle, Alric
15-Thundrik
14-Argent
Lashilsh's monster summoning is completed, but nothing seems to have happened for a moment. Suddenly, Edelle is stricken from the side by a mound of earth. 9 damage An earth elemental comes forth from below the earth. and defends the skeletons as they stand and draw their weapons. Lashilsh draws her own rapier and casts another spell with her free hand, allowing the skeletons to rise with exceptional speed. The Skeletons and Zombies make a tactical change of places as the zombies are armoured. Arrows still don't cease firing. There is one bolt that finally connects with Thundrik, 4 damage
Casvian
Casvian want to attack the drow queen, but the creatures in between her and him would mess up his shot so he must take care of those that are in the way first.
This round:
Cast gravity bow then moves up to J22.
ranger focus used up for the day.
no more spells.
HP 52/57
83 arrows
Wand of Cure Moderate Wounds 47/50.

Your group delivers a number of attacks, all missing against the defenses of these opponents. Casvian and Alric roughly change places and Edelle continues to hold her position against the elemental before her. Thundrik moves up to attack, dropping his weapon on the ground, his hands forming into powerful fists.
Lashilsh conjures a sickening miasma to fill the hallway surrounding you. Will saves for Alric, Argent, Sumatek- 3 damage and sickened for 2 rounds on fail- 2 damage, not sickened on a save Her minions continue their assault. Edelle is hit by the elemental's slam. One zombie steps up to attack Edelle and slams against her with incredible fervor. 12 damage The arrows of the skeletal warriors misfire horribly and skitter off in all directions. The Drider draws its longbow and takes careful aim, hitting Argent in the shoulder. 4 damage, also, you still around buddy?
Casvian
If the earth elemental is large I will attack the square that will avoid me giving it the soft cover penalty due to positioning. If I can not attack it and avoid the soft cover penalty I will go after the zombie that is attacking Edelle.
Rapid shot, gravity bow

Thundrik watches the fight ahead of them, knowing that this isn't going to end well. He feels the rage inside him building- but this time it's different. He feels the rage growing outside of his control, as if it's a completely deparate entity from himself. He comes to the realization that it's coming, and he isn't going to be able to resist it once it arrives. He feels something electric close to his skin- he reaches into his pocket to see what it is, and he finds the egg that Miro gave him. He knows what he has to do. He looks back at Argent, beckons for him to come closer, and sets his sights on the Drow Queen.
Game-mechanics-wise, I'm delaying until after Argent's turn.
Sumatek Auksu
Trying to shake off the last of the drow poison Sumatek finds himself at the point of almost wretching his guts out....
Will save 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
...but thankfully he holds it together and looks around to get his bearings. Seeing the others in full combat with a handfull of zombies and of all things another Drider.
Thanks for the help Argent. I'm heading in to give a hand to the others.
drawing his weapons as Sumatek moves to I,21 as quickly as possible to Casvians side.

Alric recalls a bit of his father's mercenary training.
An army is like a snake, cut of the head, and the body will wither and die.
move to I24 and cast acid splash on the drow, no cover bonus as i draw the lines from the right hand side, and they never cross through the elementals square, instead running along the border.

Casvian's Arrow hits the elemental where he thinks the lung should be. Although injured, the creature does not show as much injury as he expected.
Edelle in turn attempts to round-house kick twice. Both times, she strikes solid hits against the summoned monster before pulling back a bit.
Alric points at the ringleader and smirks as a bolt of matter conjures from his body and launches at Lashilsh. She attempts to turn away the burning liquid, but to no avail.
Thundrik waits a moment for Argent, holding out a small object. Argent's eyes are narrowed on the drow queen aswell. He looks at Thundrik knowingly as his sword shines brightly to light the way. There is now enough light for everyone to see clearly in the area. "Well, once more together, friend? The end as the beginning? " After this, he drops his pack and begins a charge towards the fray.

Round 6 init: 23- Lashilsh, Casvian
17-Edelle, Alric
14-Argent, Thundrik
The Drow queen braces her eyes as the light and the acid burn her retinas. She casts another spell to buff herself while her minions launch an offensive.
Edelle is attacked ineffectively by the elemental as it steps up. The zombie also steps and misses once, but recovers with incredible speed and delivers a second slam that hits home. 8 damage
The skeleton launch yet another volley down the tunnel. They are inaccurate, but one still manages to hit Alric. 5 damage The drider takes more careful aim however, and hits Casvian's chest, piercing the ribcage and doing significant damage. 9 damage
Edelle, Casvian, Thundrik, can make their moves.
Thundrik the Scarred
I was hoping to move up a bit once Argent took his turn- so that I'd have enough movement to get into melee range of the earth elemental. So I'll say I took a single move action to move four squares south.
Thundrik drops his pack, and sets the egg down gently on top of it. He knows what that egg means- it means life, some symbol of hope for the late Miro and his people. The fact that life was able to come to be here, of all places, was enough to keep so many people from giving up even in the face of captivity. He turns to Argent, and nods to him.
"It's been nice knowing you, friend. If you can... please watch that egg for me. It's going to hatch soon."
After saying those words, quite possibly his last, the rage begins building to a crescendo. Balling his hands into clenched fists, he charges forward, leaving every care and worry aside, barrelling headlong into the fray. As he passes Edelle, he gives out a scream of rage as he leaps high into the air- as he feels the last controlled thought disappear from his mind, his fist crashes into the earth in front of the army ahead, sending deep cracks arcing around throughout the mountain. A second fist crashes into the ground as well, causing the cracks to split further and multiply. The walls around begin to quake, and pieces of the ceiling begin to fall.
Thundrik charges to square 28J, and uses Power of the Earth at the end of the charge. Goodnight, everyone.
Magnu123
Thank you so much for joining us, Thundrik. Your part in this story has been great fun to make
Casvian steps to the side as Thundrik comes down the tunnel screaming, unstoppable like a force of nature. Edelle moves back to the rest of the group as the cave-in commences. Thundrik's body has an electric energy to it. The energy of life and of earth. This is a power he held deep within and was always afraid to use. After a moment, there is silence. The rubble before you leaves no doubt; Whatever was there a moment ago is now buried.
That ends combat as we say goodbye to Thundrik. RL has called him away from us, and we wish him well
Sumatek Auksu
Sumatek is somewhat aware of a thundering cave in nearby but continues to sleep until the effects of the drow poison wear off.
Fort save after 1 minute 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Groggily Sumatek rises to his knees. A thundering behind his eyes almost matching the dusty rubble that has just fallen in the tunnel ahead.
perception to see thru the dust 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Adelle, Casvian? Is any one there?
Edelle Flexhorn
After getting hit a few times with the 'happy stick' (for close to 34 HP) Edelle replies to Suamtek:
"Yeah I'm here, although the tunnel and Thundrik are a bit worse for wear.
"I wonder if the temple has cleared out enough for us to have a good look in there now."
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
1d8 + 3 ⇒ (5) + 3 = 8
Woops, meant to type 2d8 + 3 need to restart that, but leave the old data there so the forums don't accuse me of cheating
Tracking uses of CMW:
2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 8) + 3 = 14
2d8 + 3 ⇒ (3, 2) + 3 = 8
2d8 + 3 ⇒ (1, 7) + 3 = 11
So that 33 points leaves me 1 HP off full.
Casvian
It appears as though my last post was eaten by the message board monster. I am down 4 hp, and I have made all changes in my actual profile.
"I am here. We do need to get a move on though. If they find their leader dead they won't be happy about it. It is a shame though, that we don't have time to give him a proper burial.
