Okay, so here's what the signups look like:
1. Algar Lysandris, Oracle 9 <Hard Mode>
2. Wreck, Fighter 7 (8 or 9 by start)
3. EndlessForms, Tetori Champion of Irori 7 (9 by start) or Wizard 9
4. Ilmakis, Fighter/Rogue 7 or Cleric 6th <Hard with 7th>
5. Oswin Durnhelm, Cleric 6 (7 by start)
6. Quinn Kouniashi, Dervish Dancer 9 or Inquisitor 6? <Hard Mode?>
7. Amazing Red, Cleric 8
8. WerePox 47, Inquisitor of Gorum 8 or Kensai 9
9. Sir Terramor, Cavalier 7
10. MichaelCullen, Sorcerer 9 <Hard Mode>
It looks like we might have a table of Hard Mode and a table of not hard mode then? (Quinn, you read like you want hard mode, but that may be me reading too much into your posts that aren't there.)
Either way, it looks like we're going to have two high tables, so let's split into a potential hard mode and a potential normal mode table, and we'll see if that's feasible or not. If you didn't say that you wanted hard mode but want it anyway, feel free to check in on the other thread. The breakdowns right now look like:
Normal: (This campaign)
2. Wreck, Fighter 7 (8 or 9 by start)
3. EndlessForms, Tetori Champion of Irori 7 (9 by start) or Wizard 9
5. Oswin Durnhelm, Cleric 6 (7 by start)
7. Amazing Red, Cleric 8
8. WerePox 47, Inquisitor of Gorum 8 or Kensai 9
9. Sir Terramor, Cavalier 7
Hard: (link)
1. Algar Lysandris, Oracle 9 <Hard Mode>
4. Ilmakis, Cleric 7th <Hard Mode>
6. Quinn Kouniashi, Dervish Dancer 9 or Inquisitor 6? <Hard Mode?>
10. MichaelCullen, Sorcerer 9 <Hard Mode>
Oswin Durnhelm |
Hey Wreck, I was playing Osric in My Enemy's Enemy, so I got to see you in action. I think your build works really well as far as offense goes. Wreck hits like a truck, which is a hugely important role in a game like this. (Again, having briefly scanned the scenario - once I applied here I didn't go back for an in-depth read).
As with any front-liner, keeping AC and saves up the best you can is important. It looks as though you've addressed those items with your recent purchases!
A full-on tank (using a shield) is going to get an AC of 20 + level without too much trouble. But if you keep your AC at 18 + level as a two-handed fighter, you're doing fine. At these levels the bad guys WILL hit, but you don't want to give away HP if they roll 7's and 8's on their attacks.
Oswin has just been paralyzed and sickened by a ghast. And he's standing in a doorway, blocking the rest of the party. 'Cause I used dwarven lockpicks (adamantine sword). He should pull through, though. *crossing fingers*

Awesome. Yes, well, the extra 2000k on the weapon because its cold iron did hurt a bit. but thanks. yes, i hope he does okay with this, and 102hp is at least something. :) and his saves were well worth the 9k on the cloak
Grimnir Foehammer |
Grimnir has adecent AC for a 2 hander, albiet lower when raging, but he certainly packs as much punch as any full bab class ive seen.. Given 2 rounds to buff prob would outdamage most of any ive seen so he can and does take the front position..
As a side not ill be burning 2PP on a potion of fly..
Also have 6k to spend, any suggstions? Thinking about a cloak upgrade..

I have a level 10 Fighter (NOT a damage dealer inherently). Giovanni Valdriano is a combination wall and battlefield controller.
Endless Forms can speak to how effective the character is, and to how little I worry about being outside his area of expertise (though he himself whines about it).
AC of 31. Combat Expertise can bump that by 3. 98 HP. +32 to disarm. +30 to reposition/trip.
What he does, he does well.
You guys will have to tell me if he fits what you want at he table or not.
I WILL BE out of touch for 3 days during this gameday event.
