In 4121 AR, the desert dwarves of the Barrier Wall Mountains sealed the famed Tar-Urkatha mine abruptly, saying only that one of the richest platinum mines in history had played out. Nearly six centuries later, the truth rises from the darkness.
it sounds like you were planning on waiting for a bat attack. just let me know any other preparations you wanted to make or if you were going to explore the area around the caravansary at all.
I am keenly aware that Chit hasn't levelled yet - and part of the reason (apart from abject slackness) is that I've flopped back away from the re-jig and will instead be building on the character as he stands.
Map explanation:
I placed the PCs (red) in their proposed quarters and NPCs (blue) include D for Daeron and S for the ex-slaves which cohabit the room clusters.
so what're you going to do Cihtleen? It is a pain in the arse when players just vanish. kinda kills momentum.
ex-cell-ent. i wasn't actually referring to the possibility of your disappearance, just noting annoyance at Daeron's unannounced departure and the frequent turnover in this game in particular.
Chitleen will soon be on a short vacation to the land downunder for a whirlwind feast of familial visitation, bacon and egg muffins and iced coffee. Departure is scheduled for this evening at 11:55 PM GMT+8. Characterful service will experience a slight delay in response time during the period and if patience could be extended that would be delightful.
The Chitleen unit should be returned to normal function and reliability on the evening of the 23rd of April GMT+8.
Hey Guys, I will be down another day or so. I have been battling either flu or pneumonia for a couple of days now. Fever finally came down below 102.8. See you all soon.
Have we lost Karrak? I don't think he's posted in a while...
On body disposal- chems could be used to create Alch fire for the job, say 2 vials, but seems that could be better used for combat. You could haul more wood up from the haunted woods below or just throw bodies off a cliff.
yeah, the chems are Chitleen's tools of the trade. Just trying to add a gritty dwindling resources flavor. T&T will be along eventually to replenish supplies somewhat.
Aye - Karrak's last post was the 25th of April, and he's not been on the boards in any of his other aliases. I'm just hoping it's a busy spell for him.
Man, this thread is a player mill. Perhaps Zolurket is not willing to give up its mysteries!! Hide yo kids, hide yo husbands! They eatin' everybody up in here!

OK, to review ranged attack options and hopefully push this forward a bit:
Karrak now has a light crossbow and score of silver bolts.
Chitleen has a shortbow and Aktosh has crafted a score of silvered short bow arrows. Also he has a tanglefoot bag left I believe.
As for Tararr and Lockjaw throwing things, a pair of silvered throwing axes for Lockjaw and there are several light hammers which can be silvered and thrown. Silver sling bullets are likely a decent option as well.

This Wednesday to next I'll be traveling to Disney World with my family. Can probably participate via cell phone but I'd be grateful if someone could do my dice rolls as its a pain to type in all the formatting.

I'll be flying to Florida for a work conference tomorrow, I'll be returning on the 14th. I'll be able to post in the evenings but morning and afternoons will be busy.
Advanced warning that your friendly neighborhood perfumier will be on vacation starting 27th June all the way through to 17th July. We will be taking our first big ol' vacation in six years and swanning off to Hawaii (both Kauai and Oahu). Our first trip to the US, and despite needing about 16 hours in a plane to get there - we are still super excited :)
However since we'll be travelling with only an i-pad for computer support both my predeliction for sesquipedalian loquaciousness and the relative alacrity and frequency of posts shall suffer most terribly during that time. So in essence Chitleen will be relatively inactive while I'm off sinking deep into Kalua pig, malasadas and loco moco. Fear not for I shall return fully recharged and reinforced for the onward push towards getting those pesky 6 Dex points back.
If in the case that DMPC or PCPC will be required, Chitleen's responses will tend to follow the following logic:
1) Cast aspersions on dwarven bathing habits.
2) Throw acid on something.
Let's pause through the weekend with 2 of 4 players out. I might point out as well that Karrak and Chitleen are pretty depleted of spells, bombs, channels, etc.

I thought I still had 2 channels and most of my spells but I might have lost track. Willing to rest, but weren't there archers assailing us from the courtyard?
status:
HP 28/30
Channel Energy 2/4 remaining
Deflection Aura 0/1
Touch of Good 5/6
Karrak- 2 channels for healing after the portcullis trap and 2 channels for damaging/turning the poltergeists. so no channels left. I guess I was more thinking Chitleen's spells are depleted. I don't know that you've used anything other than orisons yet.
There were definitely archers inside the gatehouse. They haven't fired on you inside the courtyard... yet.
Spiritual weapon continues to attack unless redirected. One thing I just noticed is that it always comes from my direction...I guess I can still attack under it with my dorn-dergar (reach) or would that be at a penalty?
This is the part that I was referencing: "If the weapon goes beyond the spell range, if it goes out of your sight, or if you are not directing it, the weapon returns to you and hovers."
It hasn't come up with my games before, but it sounds like that if you can't see it, you can't direct it to target and it will return.
Attacking while the spirit weapon is attacking isn't a problem.
OK, to clarify a few things:
The smoke and cinders will totally disperse at the start of the undead dwarf's turn.
Whenever someone makes an attack that couldn't actually be applied- that is when they couldn't reach the foe or they needed more time to cast a spell to cite recent examples, I'll just apply that attack on the next turn it can apply so I used the elementals prev attack this round. I'll apply the crit next round.
So there is still concealment on Karrak's turn. The spirit hammer can attack, but it is a move action to direct it. Karrak will also need to move up to attempt the trip so I'll apply the hammer's attack now and next round apply the elemental crit and Karrak's trip attempt.
Aaand the xenophobic but sweet smelling clumsy elf is back... Oahu and Kauai were indeed most excellent and nascent plans are in place for spending of accrued long service leave time on Kauai. 16 hours in a plane yesterday and 6 hours time difference to acclimatise to will make recovery relatively slow - but off to the thread I go to read up on the 58 posts to catch up...
