Ramos the Herald
As Ramos walks with the rest of the group back towards the flooded passage, he stops to consider the options. Guys, when we get to the passage, I want to disturb the water. We don't know what is down there. The fact is if we swam down there it would stir up any silt that would be down there anyway. I want to summon some light and cast it on a stone then drop it into the pool. I don't know if there is something down there or not, but I would rather try to draw it up to all of us if there is rather then let one person stumble across it on their own. What do you guys think?
Sverrïr Koltǫnn
Sverrir grimly smiles;
"No arguement from me... prefer being wett on the inside... speakin' o' which..."
The dwur produces his flask once again and takes a dram.
Markus the Librarian
If I could borrow a thrusting weapon, more suitable for underwaater use... I'll go for a dip. I've spent a lot of time by the lake. There's an amphibious tribe nestled there... wonderful people, mostly.
Markus sets aside his Fauchard.
Markus the Librarian
Certainly the lot of you can do better than a dagger! I'll be changing into that leather we found... Those goggles might be useful as well. Pardon me boys.
Markus begins to remove armor and clothes. All the while shaking his head.
Ramos the Herald
Hold on Markus, let's see if there's anything that will react to surface movement before you strip off your armor. Laying a hand on the librarians shoulder Ramos digs out a copper and casts Light on it before tossing it into the flooded passage way. As the coin starts to sink down, and it's light illuminates the drowned hall, Ramos raises his shield and hefts his mace should something emerge.
Pavo Alazario
"If you end up having to go, I'll go with you Markus. Once did a trick where I was submerged in water and had to escape. Nearly died the first couple of times, but I walked away knowing a bit about moving in the water. If nothing pops up, I say we take a lighted stone and you go in with me following as back-up." With that, he starts limbering up after pulling the dagger from his hip sheath. After he is done stretching, Pavo stands next to Markus and offers his dagger, "Here take my dagger instead, it's a bit better sized for you and besides..." Pavo flicks his wrist, activating the spring mechanism in his wrist, and he snatches the dagger that shoots from it by the hilt. "...I got another. If we run into any trouble, we make a beeline for the surface. If anyone has got any rope, I'll hold on to one end so we know which direction to go to get back to you all.
Sverrïr Koltǫnn
Sverrir settles down, using the piled packs as a seat. flask in hand;
"No knives on me boyos... Only sharp thing is in this lovely vessel..."
The dwur smiles grimly again and taps the flask before raising it in a toast;
... but I'll enjoy the show har!"
Khyrn Lossen
"It seemed drawn to whatever we sent down there - if one of us goes in, it is likely going to behave the same way. Perhaps one of us should go in but remain close at hand - if it approaches in a violent manner, retreat on dry ground where the rest of us can ready ourselves for combat?"
Sverrïr Koltǫnn
From his seated position Sverrir offers Markus the pickaxe, handle first;
"Gentlemenn I await your cheers of success or cries for help like a coiled spring... Har!"
With a broad smile and a toast the dwur settles back to enjoy the show
Markus the Librarian
Accepting his friend's pick and wrapping the scarf around the haft, just under the head.
Lucid, if you'd cast that light spell upon my scarf. Whether it comes to motion or light, it'll be coming for... me. Marcus offers a grim smile.
Marcus slowly wades into the water, testing his footing and carrying the axe so the light is in the water.
Here, kitty-kitty... he chides, feeling Pavo's grip upon his belt.

You will have to get Ramos to do that. My lights are more mobile.The 4 glowing orbs circle around Markus to make the point.
Lucid hands the rope to Sverrir. I'm not big enough to pull anyone in. And besides, I am going in with them. Not near the front mind you, but if that thing comes back I want to be able to blast it. I don't wear armor so I should be able to move well enough in the water.
How wide is the hall?
Sverrïr Koltǫnn
Sverrir pockts his flask with a grumble;
"Nae rest for the wikked eh Lucid? Aye I'll reel them nice fishes in good and proper if it komms to that..."
The dwur wraps the rope around his forearm and readies himself to pull if necessary.
GM Fanguar
@Lucid: the hallway is 10ft wide but the room it opens into it much wider.

Sorry - Not sure how I missed that. (I had missed a number of posts in the discussion thread - I was not being marked with new entries for me.) Will update character ASAP. For now the elemental gets another Magic Missile from me as Lucid had the trait that makes me cast Magic Missile at caster level +1.
Second Missile Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
So that is a total of 7 damage.
GM Fanguar
@Marcus:OK, a double move will take you out of the water and combat.

Are the people outside the water able to see the creature enough to make a Knowledge check?
Prepped Spells for Khyrn:
0th level: create water, guidance, stabilize
1st level: magic weapon (D), bless, remove fear
Sverrïr Koltǫnn
Heeding Markus's pained warning Sverrir digs his boot heels in and pulls in the watery combatants;
Str check required or do we just reel them in?
