Would it work for everyone to go in our usual marching order?

Male Human Barbarian 2/Oracle 1

Yes

I say the usual marching order, even though I forgot what that was. I should have bookmarked that post.

Male Elf Cleric of Sarenrae/3

IIRC the usual marching order had us more or less holding formation around the wagon. That is probably still a good idea but we need to be careful not to get strung out too much.

Luminarion says, "Depending on how bad the mist gets it might not be that bad an idea to rope us all together somehow, or at least provide for a guide rope that we can hang onto for reference."

So something like this?

.....C....D....
.....E....F.........
.....G....H........

B - Kaiden
C - Luminarion
D - Galstak
E - Morphet (on/next to wagon)
F - Spectrum (on/next to wagon)
G - Tokara (on/next to wagon)
H - Askum (on/next to wagon)
I - Khalil

N - NPC's

Another piece of info I had completely forgot to give to all the path is only about 25feet wide.

Male Goblin Inquisitor Heretic 3

That would work, though Curvlk was suggesting being a bit further from Kaiden so they would have another leg to explore the mists. I would suggest that Galstak and our two NPC fighters would be the best to hold the rope, since I think they are our strongest and best help if we need them to charge to the rescue. Also, what should we do with Tok? Is everyone else ready?

Curvlk suggested two more signals when he saw everyone prepared to move forward.

"If I tug the rope twice, it will mean that you should all stop moving. I will tug the rope once when we are to continue moving."

The rope is tied securely to Curvlk and Egil offers to hold the rope being strongest of the bunch. Curvlk then begins his descent into the thick fog followed by Kaiden etc. The fog is thick unnaturally so it is so thick that it even hampers your movement as if it is a force that is pushing you back, nothing can be seen from within the thick fog except the dark fog itself.

Curvlk and Kaiden: You are the first to emerge from the fog and you find it was only about twenty or so feet long. You look around your surroundings there is nothing out of the ordinary the path just continues upwards the sun shines on the horizon it is quite pretty this day but there is no time for distractions you step forward and make about ten feet out of the fog before you hear something it is carried by the air but what is it? you listen closer and hear an unsettling chanting from far above you look around to see what the source of this is but by the time you notice it already to late. An invisible figure appears from down the trail and a ball of fire shots forth from the women's hands headed your way, on instinct you clench the rope and tug it four time before the ball of fire bursts in your location engulfing all around with flame and pain. You can barely make out the womens voice over the sound of burning fires. "You dare enter the realm of Mogens I will obliterate you come my friends we have intruders."

Those inside the Fog: You hear nothing at all Egil feels the tug on the rope but when he trys to speak all of his words are muffled by the fog he can not gesture or warn you in anyway as you can see nor hear anything within.

Any out of the Fog:You hear the loud explosion of fire from the other side of the Fog cloud alerting you of the danger Though you cannot see the threat the flames from the explosion were easily visible from above the fog.

5d6 ⇒ (3, 2, 1, 6, 4) = 16 Egil Gregers, Kaiden and Curvlk are all blistered with flame and must make Reflex DC 18 to half damage.

Rest of round:I will take the Run action which will get me to I23.

The run action allows you to move at 4 times your movement, but lose dex to AC, and if there are any pits you don't get a reflex save against them, IIRC

Not seeing or hearing any sign of trouble, Khalil sticks with the plan and slowly moves toward the fog. He watches as the others disappear into the mist wondering why someone would cast such a spell at this particular place. Before entering the magical mist, he stops to wait for a few seconds and scans the area behind for any sign of trouble or ambush.

Aksum hurries forward through the fog, eager to help his friends. He inches his way through the obscured path as fast as he can, hugging the mountain cliff on the right.

Double-move action, reaching the top-right corner of the block of fog.

Male Elf Cleric of Sarenrae/3

Drat, really low initiative this fight. However, while Luminarion didn't notice any threat, he may very well have noticed Kaiden running past him back towards the rear of the group.

Perception check
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

And with a perception check like that Luminarion will simply continue moving forward as if nothing is wrong. Assuming a standard move of 20 feet and 5 foot squares that will put him in H-16.

Kaiden is not running towards the back of the group. He is running to I3 on the map. That W is the wizard or at least one wizard anyway.

PS:If I can't see the wizard I would still have ran ahead to try to escape the fog since that is where the fireball bead came from.

Round 1

Spectrum hears the woman's voice and watches the explosion muffled through the fog. his eyes narrow in thought, his mind running quick calculations.

Spellcraft 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21

If successful I'd like to target the approximate area the source of the spell is with a Stone Call. If I have no idea at all, I'll extrapolate the distance to Curvlk (from the rope) and drop the spell so that the close edge is about 10 feet in front of him. It's a 40' radius spread (80 feet across) so chances are I'll hit something. You'll need to roll damage for me though. Also, everything in the AoE is Difficult terrain until my next action (no charging for them!)

Male Human Barbarian 2/Oracle 1

Galstak, unknowing what transpired, will continue forward until he breaks through the fog. Once through he will act on what he sees.

Kaiden thinks fast and after taking such a heavy blow he does not risk to sit in the open for another to hit, he runs forward towards the the mage.

Curvlk gets no response after his first tug of the rope he trys so again only to find that all that remains is a foot of badly burned rope in his hand he drops it to the ground and thinks fast about the current situation. Waiting to hear Curvlks action will edit if he posts soon.

Aksum sees the fiery explosion and charges forward through the thick fog eager to help his friends.

Tok hears the explosion which immediately diverts her attention she knows danger may be near but what, she charges through the fog with o sign of fear in her eyes.

All of a sudden you hear the sounds of metal grinding on metal as two false rock doors move aside the loud noise screeches through the cold air as the undead begin to pour from the doors like an angry mob. The wizard grins evilly as she gives silent commands to the undead mob.

All of the skeletons swarm out of the cave and most turn their attention to the one threatening their unholy leader they rush forward in her defense provoking several aoo (though he can only make one per round) he swings out at the first to come to his range (and misses.) but then finds himself overwhelmed as many more gather around him. One comes from behind after the others and trys to stab him with a rustic old spear. It jabs into his back only making a minor scar but it still brings pain to the already badly injured ranger.

Sorry I didn't get to this till now, was busy with lab work today. If Curvlk would have seen Kaiden charge, he would have charged along with him(probably to square I2) before he and Kaiden knew the extent of the battle and struck at the mage. I'll post as if that would work fine and let me know if something else changes.

Curvlk froze for a moment as the flames roared towards him, before diving out of the way to see his companion charge past him. The nimble goblin bravely sprinted to catch up with the man and strike at the foe who had brought fire down upon them all. "I know not who you are, but your actions mark you as my enemy, mage! May Sarenrae guide my blade! The goblin roared as he charged.

Curvlk rushes forward along with Kaiden his blade leading the way towards the blurred image of the mage. He sees through the illusion and strikes true dealing some heavy damage to the female though she still stands she appear quite injured. "You dare to raise your blade against me Goblin." She croaks as the fake stone doors roll upon and the undead swoop upon you. You lash out at one of the skeletons but your small scimitar does little to harm the skeletons bones.

Gregers quickly charges out of the fog and stops his charge a moment to take a good look at his surroundings noting the group of undead he charges into them headlong with little sense for his own safety.

A more fearsome looking undead abomination steps from the cave it's pale flesh face and beedy blue-white eyes scan the field and behind it follows several ghouls who shriek and spread out among the field the frost wight meanwhile stands in place and observes carefully.

Curvlks action did not change much in the Skeletons actions just some minor placement differences. @Spectrum you could not see the direction in which the fireball had come from nor the angle but it being a aoe spell you approximate the Wizard stands further back though you know know exact location. Casting the spell know would no doubt hit at least one of your companions if you want to go through with it or change plans do tell.

Wow everyone is ahead of me, we still on round one....perhaps I have confused you with my block 1 block that. And Kaiden there only have been 1 fireball less you want another to hit ye in the face your still at 15/36 unless the wizard says otherwise on his turn :)

Spectrum calls forth upon his arcane power to conjure thick layer of web on the battlefield. Though he cannot see he does several quick calculations to find were he could conjure it to affect the least amount of his allies (h6) the sticky webs cover many of the undead and Kaiden. (What is the DC on spell?)

Khalil runs as far as he can thorough the mist trying to catch up with his allies. (Fog counts as difficult terrain so switched Khalil's action to double move he can still draw weapon but moves farther to I16.)

Egil roars as he emerges from the fog war axe at hand he charges headstrong into the undead ranks his axe leading the way towards the ghouls head. The head comes clean off and fly's high in the air before landing int the snow with a loud thud.

1d20 + 9 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 9 + 2 = 14
1d10 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14

Morphet moves into the scene he realizes he is open and moves behind Egil to use him as a shield until as he prepares his spell.

Galstak continues on and out of the fog only to see the horror that has occurred that he was completely unwary off he draws his new axe and roars to battle.

The nameless one quietly makes his way through the fog not entirely sure what has transpired.

The wizard trys to step back and escape the sticky bonds she breaks loose of the web and steps back sending a ray of fire straight for Kaiden who is in no state to dodge such an attack the ray of fire burns deeper into Kaidens flesh and he knows that another strike would surely take him down. If matters could get any worse he suddenly smells burning not that of his own skin but the webbing around him it burns as if he could get any worse it does as it engulfs him the pain is too much and he falls into the rock ground covered in a blister of flames.(Kaiden know at -3/36 :O)

Sorry bout delay hasn't said there have been any new posts since Thursday.

Curvlk is more concerned for his downed friend than taking down that nasty wizard he lays his hands upon Kaidens burnt back to restore life back in him, however the four skeletons around him lash out with their weapons he holds fast and is able to complete his spell through the skeletons weak blow he grins as his friend eyes flicker open and look up at the little goblin though Kaiden is still in no condition to continue fighting at least you know he still lives and you will hold this position until help arrives.

Aksum is relieved to exit the horrid fogs but the sight of battle does him little satisfaction, he bursts into inspiring song mostly on instinct and pulls his bow string back to prepare for battle.

Tok charges out of the fog and makes for J13 the sight of undead frightens her but she has prepared a spell for just such an occasion she charges forward bottle of holy water in one hand and a handful of silver dust in the other. She whispers under her breath a quick prayer as she pours the water on the ground around Gregers. The area lights up in a bright flash and the undead cower in fear as the area at there feet becomes consecrated.

Those surrounding Gregers fear the wrath of the Cleric before them and try to flee back into the nearby caves, but the webbing at their feet still ensnares them as they shriek in defiance. Two of these skeletons still stand before the powerful fighter and they weakly strike with their weapons but find their powers considerable weakened within the consecrated area he easily deflects these two blows with considerable ease.

With the webbing surrounding Kaiden burnt away the skeletons move forward to protect their master and finish the remaining threat near their master. Curvlk however swings his blade at the advancing skeletons to avoid being flanked in yet another direction, however his blow is weak and only half hearted the skelton easily evades it and you are swarmed by blades, axes, and spears the skilled goblin parrries and dodge many of the blows but even one as skilled as he cannot guard themselves from so many attacks, a blade nips at his back again if it is to keep up he will surely fall. Concentration check to save the spell. Success!1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20

Curvlk dodged and weaved as his fingers and tounge wove together healing magic, and was suddenly clipped by one of the skeleton's swords, but the goblin was to far into the magic to let the wound stop him, and healing magic flowed from him into the ranger. Curvlk smiled, for he had managed to also draw most of the attention of the horde from his downed to companion to himself, and perhaps would be able to by them enough time for their allies to arrive.

The Frost Wight breaks free of the webs ensnarement and steps for the to replace the fallen skeleton its body glows in a cold and soft magic as it swings its frozen claws at Gregers, but th skilled warrior is quick and raises his shield to block the attack just in time.

The ghoul looks down upon it's fallen adversary before looking back up at the mighty dwarf nonetheless it steps forward and jumps at Egil arms and mouth wide as it attacks the dwarf in a flurry of blows, th beasts assault is relentless and both of it'd sharp claws get by the dwarfs defenses. The dwarf wards off the creatures paralyzing touch but the claws still dig deep into his flesh, he seems to hardly notice.

Male Human Barbarian 2/Oracle 1

GM - Did you miss/forget Galstak's first round action. He is supposed to be at K9

Fog gives complete concealment it stands 25 feet high, wide, and long it is like a cube you cannot see through it at all so yes normally you would not even have been able to use web earlier as it requires visual components. Fog also makes effective ranged attacks almost impossible except for magic rays and the like although even then you would just be shooting at random.

Galstak: And no I did not miss your action you and Lumarion were caught surprised on round one and still just kept to the plan and walked forward calmly which ended you at J15.

M Human Boreal Sorcerer 3

Morphet will Magic Missile the Wizard at G2 for his next action
Magic Missile:2d4 + 2 ⇒ (1, 2) + 2 = 5

M Human Rogue 2 / Cleric 1 HP: 13/13 AC:16 T:13 FF:13 CMD:14 F: +3 R: +6 W: +4 Per: +8/+9 Init: +5

Khalil steps out of the fog and brandishes his holy symbol calling on the power of Calistria to scour these undead foes from the land. In response, his fickle goddess offers a laugh and only the smallest trickle of support which causes the young Keleshite to let loose with a furious series of curses aimed at his patron.

Round 3
Move to I10, Channel Positive Energy 1d6 ⇒ 1

Male Human Barbarian 2/Oracle 1

Spoiler:

Feeling frustrated and relatively useless, Spectrum urged Glimmer and Array out into the fog. "Keep above. I need you to help coordinate us. I don't want to miss-target."

Flying fearlessly into the mist, Array swept his sharp eyes looking for silhouettes and his mind as well, looking for the spark of connection that flared when his telepathic broadcast was being listened to.

Kaiden is down! This way! his mental voice nudged a direction to the near-blind companions.

The Psudodragons are going to act as a sort of relay station to direct people towards those in need of help and give a general idea of where people are.

Not quite the warrior her mate was, Glimmer cautiously made her way in, keeping a connection with Spectrum, concentrating on describing what she could make out and relaying Array's thoughts to those out of his range of communication.

Assume Array is somewhere near Curvlk and Glimmer is somewhere above the main group towards the back.

Round 2 action

Spectrum moves forward and lays his hand on Galstak, his amulet surging with light. Magical force begins to amplify his muscles.

Move to J16 and cast Bull Strength on Galstak with Bonded Item.

Spectrum moves forward and lays his hands on Galstak using the power of his amulet to use magical force to amplify his muscles.

Khalil steps from the thick fog and brandishes his holy sybol in an attempt to smite these undead. His goddess offers only a smallest trickle of support and the undead hardly even notice.

Egil growls as he bears his axe once more swinging fiercely at the ghoul in front of him. The sheer strength of his blow crushes the undead splitting his head in two.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17
1d10 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11

Morphet conjures several missiles of pure force and launches them at the wizard who winces as they piece the wizards vulnerable flesh.

Galstak charges forward towards the largest fiercest of the undead creatures his new magic axe strikes true and with the help of his amplified muscles the blow is strong as any, but the fierce wight quickly retaliates from the heavy damage and seems as if it is unhurt.

Fighter charges out of the fog and runs to aid the surrounded goblin, he draws his longsword in his move and is unhampered by the webs.

The wizard sends a group of force missiles flying at Curvlk hoping to rid of the troublesome gobin as fast as possible. The missiles puncture his flesh and blood drips from the new wound, he stands if only barely. Curvlks at 0/30 and now Disabled.

The first of the zombies exits the right cave only to find himself get ensnared within the web, the ones behind it slowly advance behind.

Luminarion moves in to support Gregers drawing his morningstar in his move.
