Rules question: Do higher ground applies for ranged attacks too? (not that it mattered anyway)

Roland, I just looked it up and ranged attacks do not get a +1 for higher ground. Didn't mean to cheat against you guys! I didn't realize it differentiated between melee and ranged for that bonus. Thank you for pointing that out.

No, which I always thought as odd. Doesn't add range either.

Right? You'd think it might add range or even decrease range increments by one, or some sort of bonus. I would think making a ranged attack from above would be somewhat easier than otherwise.

I've been playing a lot, actually more than I should, Epic's Paragon.

It's still early access alpha, but I'm liking it a lot.
Talking about liking it a lot, I have two early access codes, if someone is interested in trying out the game as well. It can be played from PC or PS4.

I love the Overwatch video's but hate that the game doesn't have a story mode. They have given the characters some fantastic background but do nothing with it.

Totally agree about the Overwatch story. There is apparently a ton of lore written about the background story and characters but there is virtually no content or mechanism in-game to learn about it or enjoy it.

But in spite of this, the gameplay is so much fun I find myself spending way too much time playing it!

I've played a month of WoW several years ago, and I used to play Dota quite often, but I got rid of it, thanks god. I've heard about Overwatch and it really caught my attention, but I don't have a decent internet connection to play that.

Anyway, the range increment penalty is not because the arrow doesn't reach guys, but just because the target gets smaller, relatively speaking. It makes perfect sense to me, since reaching a target at 20 feet is hell easier than reaching one at 40 feet.

Plus, reaching a target from an inclined point of vision (from above) is usually harder than hitting a leveled target, since the area you can hit is smaller (unless you're hitting a spider, that is).

In the melee attacking from higher ground gives tactical advantage, playing with gravity and so forth...

Never thought about the fact that the belt was an enhancement bonus and therefore does not stack with the spell. But barbar rage is morale so that's fine.

3 min is plenty of time. That's 30 rounds. With your bonuses and with a rope you could move full speed without even making checks. But its only a +1 over all so its not much of a benefit.

I didn't understand the reason behind this request, altho I'll gladly acknowledge it.

If you read the gameplay, Gromff is the one that most use OOC on his gameplay posts or even an entirely new gameplay post just for an OOC commentary.

Scrambed eggs!

I favor taking Aersensi and Walker down with us, since the monster seems to be waking up faster than it should. It might mean that the spear is nearby.

If anything happens down there, at least the can-have-wings-demon will not be on the loose and maybe will grant us some advantage in case of a fight. Gromff with his darkvision guiding the pack would be awesome. I trust the dwarf to do that.

It makes sense for Gromff to take point, but I do also have darkvision (just no perception to speak of). I don't have torches, but do have spark to light torches or oil that the others might have.

Jeez, I didn't realiz it had been that long. At first I was waiting to see where the others were going with this, but the last few days have been a nightmare, though not to Catcher's extent.

I helped a friend of mine move three states away and pretty much everything went wrong. One of our cars broke down, one of our group was bitten by a brown recluse spider, we had to call a locksmith out to the house our friend was moving to only to have the lock destroyed, a pipe burst in the new rental house, and then I had to drive back at 4 am. 1500 km total in travel over three days.

Well, the brown recluse bite was on my SO. They scrubbed a chunk of skin from her bite and we're watching it closely. Plus, she was given a large dose of antibiotics and we're waiting to see how it goes. The rest of us are just tired and frustrated. But it is nice to be home, overall.

I remember that the vision was not shared, but you mentioned something, specially concerning your reasons it was not necessary to go there (the would resist for ages in the caves).

I remember someone throwing it into that Ogre/giant/devil in that camp where we found DP and the green Drake that asked us to join them.

Was the the lightning javelin on a actual lightning bolt? I think Catcher has the spell. Or we might have had 2. Either way, I think it is a terrible option, giving them a weapon.
