Satari-san |

Satari pops into existance beside the worms huge eye, looking slightly chewed. He frowns down its length, at all the places where his blows struck tough scale and rigid cartilage, dealing no discernible damage.
Precision
The old man rolls his neck, sighs, and tries again.
Power is nothing without control. Got to dash - attack rolls to follow this evening!

Fort Save:d20+16
Elgan's watery form shakes off the worst of the swarm's attempts to burrow into his fluid form. But there are still visible 'chunks' missing from his form from where they tried to burrow in.
"Thas Jesss Naaaassstyyyy!" ELganWave bellows, clearly audible underwater.
With seemingly effortless motions, ElganWave hammers into the nearest worm,... Is this the one with Altai, or Claw?
1d20+29; 2d6+16+1d6+1d6+1d6; 1d20+29; 2d6+16+1d6+1d6+1d6
Nearest worm is "worm two."
Elgan bashes the worm up pretty good, but it's still got gobs of fight left in it.

dungeonmaster heathy |

"Gaaaah! Get off me, damned worms!" Altai bamf!s away to safety before casting a spell...
I'm getting the heck out of Dodge using my Dimensional step ability to move to Y40. From there, I cast Cone of cold, which I Empower with my metamagic rod. It hits Worms 2 and 3, as well as Swarms 2 and 3 (plus Claw, but he doesn't give a crap). Damage 15d6=58x1,5=87 cold. The swarms take a further 50% extra damage: 87x1,5=131 cold. Reflex 25 for half damage.
Altai blinks upward, and turns the deep water into a slurpee.
The two swarms are decimated, but worms two and three are still pretty strong.

dungeonmaster heathy |

Claw pounds away at the insides of the great worm's mouth.
Attack 1: 10+16=AC 26, damage 3d8+8=20. Attack 2: 12+16=AC 28, damage 3d8+8=19. All damage is slashing and magical
Claw hits. I'm arbitrarily ruling that the inside of their mouth has a lower ac than their hide.......
The golem is still getting munched on though.

Right on.....
Looks like Satari and Pip are up to bat.

For very loose definitions of 'this evening'. Sorry!
Abundant step. Flurry of Blows. Dimensional Savant. Dragon Stance. Attacks are adamantine and lawful.

Pendobar 'Pip' Bushytoe |

Pip's sword keeps up his rousing song. Pip himself busies to the task of worm perforation
+3 inspire up and running. Pip will fire 'normal' +3 arrows at the nearest worm
Attack 1 (manyshot also):1d20 + 22 ⇒ (15) + 22 = 371d8 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
Attack 2: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (12) + 22 = 341d8 + 19 ⇒ (5) + 19 = 24
Attack 3: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (17) + 22 = 391d8 + 19 ⇒ (7) + 19 = 26
Attack 4: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (19) + 22 = 411d8 + 19 ⇒ (8) + 19 = 27
Additional damage for Manyshot (if ATK 1 hits): 1d8 + 19 ⇒ (6) + 19 = 25

dungeonmaster heathy |

Satari batters away at the thing, and wounds it grievously.
Pip's arrow finishes the job.
Pip then moves on to number two.
It's pretty close to dead when the Pipster is done firing arrows.
Number two bites and stings Elgan.
The bite misses......the sting hits; 4d6 + 18 ⇒ (2, 5, 4, 6) + 18 = 35 and d.c. 27 fort save or take 1d4 ⇒ 3 str damage.
It barfs up another swarm as well.
Worm 3 swallows claw. 4d8 + 18 ⇒ (6, 1, 5, 6) + 18 = 36 to Claw; minuse his DR of course.
It pukes up another swarm as well.
Finally, Em's swarm does 6d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 5, 6, 6, 6) = 30 and dc 21 fort save or 1d4 ⇒ 1 str damage.....
Group's attack!

Elgan Dreadwood |

here we go again,... ;P
Fort: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (4) + 16 = 20
ElganWave shudders as the poison courses through it's fluid body. Although the damage is minimal compared to what his new elemental form can dish out, he's pretty sure he's gonna be tired and sore in the morning.
He seems to ignore the gashes barely visible in this form. Although he would admit to any who ask that 'It doo sting a bit'.
Thinking that perhaps they might try another tact with these swarm-puking, aquatic purple worm wannabes, He waves his free fluid arm, and summons an underwater world of hurt for their oversized opponents,...
One underwater ICE STORM coming up!
5d6 ⇒ (2, 3, 5, 5, 2) = 17
Elgan will include himself in the area of effect if that covers the most enemies. As in his current form he is immune to cold.

Emrael Bladewalker |

For the third time,
Fortitude DC 21: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (9) + 15 = 24
With strong strokes, the kensai swims toward the nearer worm and lashes out with her blade. Which I will post when I have a real keyboard, thankyouverymuch.

Emrael Bladewalker |

Which I will post when I have a real keyboard, thankyouverymuch.
As the elven woman drifts toward the side of the massive creature, her fingers fly through the motions of another spell and she takes hold of the hilt in a two-handed grip as she prepares to turn the worm inside-out.
Or not. Casting Vampiric Touch defensively, the concentration check is an automatic success.
Attack: 1d20 + 21 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 21 - 2 + 1 = 37
Damage: 1d8 + 23 ⇒ (4) + 23 = 27 and Vampiric Touch: 7d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 6, 1, 6, 5) = 30
Confirmation, just in case: 1d20 + 21 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 21 - 2 + 1 = 31
Damage: 1d8 + 23 + 1d10 ⇒ (1) + 23 + (6) = 30 and Vampiric Touch: 7d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 4, 6, 4, 4, 6) = 30
Current effects:
AC 40
Displacement
+5 Keen Flaming Burst Katana

Claw the Golem |

Claw slashes away at worm's digestive apparatus.
Attack 1: 9+16=AC 25, damage 3d8+8=22. Attack 2: 11+16=AC 27, damage 3d8+8=21. All damage is slashing and magical
Poor Claw can't take too much more digesting...
UPDATE: Rules on swallowing foes. I dunno the AC or hp required, but Claw might have a shot at escaping.

Altai Iscarni |

"Bah. Well, time for an old classic, I guess." A small ember steaks from Altai's hand, erupting into a blinding explosion in the murky gloom.
No move. The Fireball goes off in the AF-AG 53-54 intersection, hitting Worm3 and Swarms 4 and 5 (but not the "SW" square. What is that, anyway?). Damage 15d6=51 fire, the swarms take 51x1,5=77 fire. Reflex 23 for half damage.

Claw rips his way out of the worm.
And.....starts sinking...

sw is short for swarm.
It's part of whatever swarm that is.Meh; I changed it to an s like the other ones.
No deaths but the last worm has seen far better days.
Pip; Satari up to bat.

Elgan Dreadwood |

Elgan Dreadwood wrote:I'll have to rescue Claw. Again. :)There was a time when Claw was the toughest and scariest member of our party. That time has long passed, I'm afraid.
Oh, I'm not so sure about that. Maybe I'm just underestimating my PC's abilities (or maybe I've just never researched enough into what a druid can really do with shapeshifting/spell combos) but I'm only now getting to the point where I might feel comfortable in sparring with Claw. ;P
Magic swim wings might be a good idea for Altai to research though. If we plan on having any more water adventures. :)

Elgan Dreadwood |

Elgan splashes from the waves, and shimmers before the water drops have finished falling.
A bird, somewhere between the size of a humanoid and a Roc, carries the rest of the group to the ship and drops them on the deck.
Moments later, a once-more-elfin shaped Elgan rejoins them.
"Dat deere wuz fuun. Kin we do dat agin?" he asks, grinning widely.
"Jus' kiddin'." He adds, suddenly fearful of this group taking him up on the idea.

Elgan Dreadwood |

"Ah means, yew tried 'splainin' dis tew me wunce. Deh angels' caint reely be deestroyed, jes her physical form kilt. Raight? Sew she ain't reely ded. Jes',... well, probably pi$$ed off an' sech. Ah guess?" He asks Altai.
Elgan looks and sounds very much like he is trying to convince himself, not any party member.
"Um,... Kin we git outta here yit? Er iz we still waitin fer an invite?"
