Rusty moves directly to Amenephus and tries to stabilise him. Move: NE to S17.

Save vs blindness: (1d20=5)

Rusty stumbles blindly towards the fallen cleric and staunches the worst of his wounds.

Really need a decision from which of Nayce or Isari is taking Dorvin's free encounter power attack and what the chosen is doing with it.

MAP

To end encounter, all Amenephus's healing powers restore an extra +5hp

Nayce - BLOODIED; invisible to end next turn on leaving zone
Kyton devil 3 - BLOODIED; has the Teardrop; slowed to end Nayce's next turn; under Isari's Aegis; immobilised (se)
Guldarin - used second wind; angelic messenger is blinded (se) and immobilised (se)
Tarisaul Eris - BLOODIED; slowed to end Guldarin's next turn
Dorvin (resist 5 fire) - BLOODIED; used second wind; used AP; Encouraging Stance (when Dorvin hits with a melee attack, a bloodied ally within 5 squares gains 8 temp hp. He can grant temp hp if he misses as well, but grants CA to whatever he missed to end his next turn)
Isari (resist 5 fire) - BLOODIED; used second wind; +3 all (except AC) defenses to end encounter
Amenephus - BLOODIED; used 2nd wind; strike 2 death saves; immobilised (se); dying (stabilised), prone
Rusty - BLOODIED; used second wind; blinded (se); (one strike) Tanya Hrovitz

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Nayce or Isari needs to regain an encounter attack power and use it immediately as a free action. Otherwise I have wasted my turn. Dear save reset after a short or extended rest.

Save vs immob
1d20 ⇒ 1

I think Nayce has the ranged attack power

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Sure. I'll take the free encounter power for Nightmare Shades. 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26 vs will. 2d8 + 13 ⇒ (8, 2) + 13 = 23 psychic damage on a hit. Plus some CA related stuff that won't matter if its dead.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Who's the best choice to take the teardrop and run?

anyone who has a decent movement rate, and has not used their AP yet, would probably be about the same

Male Human Swordmage/Wandering Swordmage 11

I still have my AP and my speed's 7 because of those boots I keep forgetting I picked up. I'll take the teardrop.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Good plan. You also have higher defenses than me. I'll try to cover your route a little though, and help with Tanya.

Move to Q22 and Second Wind. 1 shroud on Tanya.

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Nayce -apply nightmare thingy to Tarisaul if he's in range. That way Isari takes down the kyton and you damage fatboy.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Also I am no longer bloodied.

Dorvin wrote:

DM, is that possible? I was under the impression it was one of those powers where I had to make the attack against K3. Nightmare Shades wouldn't reach, but Echoing Threat would. Same attack roll (also against Will) but 1d10 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17 psychic damage and at the end of its next turn, the target takes 10 psychic damage if any creatures are within 2 squares of it.

It would also mean that on my turn, I could teleport 5 squares as a minor action, so teleport to R22, then move to L22, Second Wind, and put 1 shroud on Tanya.

It's fine, Nayce. The power doesn't insist that you attack a specific target. It also does horrible damage to Tarisaul. Update on the way.

Dorvin's words jog Nayce's memory. A favoured attack recalls itself and he slams power towards the bulky cultist. Tarisaul screams.

"You can't fall!" Tanya's long fingers clench as she sees victory drifting from her grasp.

"Mammon's greed hold you!"

At her words, Tarisaul shakes himself and looks slightly more confident. Then she invokes her patron once more and he answers her prayers.

Recharge Greedfire. 1d6=5. Yes.

"You will fall." Another coin bounces over the parapet and spins dangerously towards the companions.

Infernal Greedfire (Ref). Burst 2 within 15. On hit she gets a secondary attack v Will. On hit, target is blinded (se)
Centred on T19 and targets Rusty, Amenephus, Dorvin, Angelic messenger, Isari and Nayce

She screams again, this time with joy as both Amenephus and Dorvin fall beneath the onslaught.

Amenephus needs to start making death saves again.

Male Half-elf Assassin 14 / Obsidian Stalker

Nayce went before Tanya and is nowhere near those others to be in the blast.

Edit: Ahh. I was confused. A dozen-ish posts ago, you posted a different initiative order. I see now that Nayce is after Tanya. That means forget everything I posted about moving and teleporting and a second wind. He's down and at -13 HP.

Death save: 1d20 ⇒ 17

On the upshot, he has not used his Second Wind.

I'm so sorry. That's entirely my fault for messing up the init order. I didn't spot it this morning and should have corrected it.

Male Dwarf Invoker/Divine Philosopher 14

"Aren't you dead yet?" Guldarin peers round his altar, mildly annoyed. "Go after him, my boy." He waves the sowrd angel towards Tarisaul, and then points his rod and blasts him with more lightning.

Move; Sword Angel to L17
Standard; Divine Bolts, targeting Tarisaul, attack 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (14) + 15 = 29 vs Reflex, Damage 1d6 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14 lightning damage
Minor; Sword Angel swings at Tarisaul, 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25 vs Fortitude, damage 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Saving throw against blinded 1d20 ⇒ 8
Saving throw against immobilised 1d20 ⇒ 7

Nayce falls to Tanya's blast but holds back death as Guldarin and his angel finally put an end to Tarisaul. With a final shriek, the outsize cultist collapses in an unlovely pile of blubber and blood, gold seeping from this throat.

Tarisaul is down.

Now only Tanya remains, eyes alight with fanaticism as she prepares to blast the comrades into oblivion in Mammon's name.

Dorvin can only make a death save, so post at will, Isari.

Isari digs through the kyton's chains in search of the Teardrop. After finding it, he runs up the stairs with unnatural speed.

Minor, grab the Teardrop from K3's corpse(I assume/hope holding it in my free hand isn't enough to make my aegis to fall from +3 to +1?), spend an action point and move 21 squares to G15.

1d20 ⇒ 13 Death saving throw
when dying i do not make a save against anything else correct?

Dragonborn Fighter 12

Amenephus, you also make saves against blindness and immobilisation.

Rusty activates his Belt of Sacrifice to heal Amenephus. Minor Action: Spending two surges to allow Amenephus to regain surge value +1 HP.

The dragonborn goes over to Nayce and tries to stabilise him. Move to U17.

Standard Action: Heal check: (1d20+10=11) :(

Save vs Blindness: (1d20=6) Double :(

AC 25; Fort 23, Ref 19, Will 18
27/83 HP; 2/11 Surges:

Passive Perception 16, Passive Insight 15; Low-light vision

Conditions: blinded
Dailies: Victorious Surge, Comeback Strike
Encounters: Reactive Surge, Griffon's Wrath, Second Wind, Unbreakable

Dragonborn Fighter 12

I just realised that an 11 Heal check would be enough to help Nayce spend his Second Wind.

To deal with all the healing stuff first:
Amenephus - Rusty is right, you need to make the other saves as well. Particularly as in this case you are conscious after Rusty's turn on a surge + 1hp.
Rusty - you can activate Nayce's second wind and he is now conscious as well.
Isari - I can't see any reason why taking the Teardrop would make you lose either your Aegis.

Scrabbling with bloody hands, Isari finds the Teardrop and heads up the stairs to the fire altar. In his head, he hears the giant sapphire singing joyfully as it senses the impending fulfilment of its purpose.

Still blind, Rusty moves among his dying comrades and restores Amenephus and Nayce. Now only Dorvin remains to aid.

Recharge: Infernal Greedfire. 1d6=4. No.

Tanya's eyes widen and gleam like the gold that corrupted her as she sees the artifact clearly for the first time. With no allies left, Mammon taunts her by witholding his power and she hurls a bolt of force at Isari.

Spiritual Weapon (Ref)
1d20+16=31. Hits. 2d6+5=11
11 damage to Isari

Already used my Second Wind. And nae angel be gropin' me! Gobless pervs!

Gobless? A mouthless angel is just ... scary.

As he returns to consciousness once more, Amenephus finds his vision returning as well.

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

4E angels don't have mouths - it's their thing. And no legs. And yes, it does make them unsettling.

Male Dwarf Invoker/Divine Philosopher 14

You're unconscious! You don't get to object to being molested! At least, not till afterwards.

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Don't be worrying. The secret of what's under your kilt is safe with a blind angel.

Nayce leaps to his feet and dashes up the stairs.

Stand as a minor action (acrobat boots) and move to L22.

Barely noticing his brush with death, Nayce leaps to his feet and races for the stair with a look on his face that bodes no good for Tanya.

Apart from Guldarin and Isari, I think everyone has been unconscious at least once this fight.

For hot angel on dwarf action, visit this post!

"Hey, Tanya! We got your devils, we got your toy boy, and now we're after you. Well, not me personally, but you understand what I mean, don't you." Guldarin looks around. "This is no time for Dorvin to be lying down, not when we're about to win. Wake him up. Sid, get the woman with the weight problem."

"This ends now." The amulet is slammed down onto the altar and is run through by his blade.

The Teardrop shouts as it shatters, joyfully fulfilling its sole purpose. Cerulean light explodes outwards, ripping through the mountain and purging the curse of Mammon from all the unmined ore within Rhygar. The mountain roars, as the spirit within it suffers agonies.

Tanya blanches as her nightmare comes true and she sees victory snatched away from her at the final gasp.

A couple of things happen here. Unmined ore is now purified of Mammon's taint. Previously mined ore is unaffected and remains cursed. All those afflicted with gold fever are cured. They are subject to re-infection if exposed to cursed gold again. Creatures who have taken Mammon's bargain remain afflicted (i.e. if they have the gold-veined template).
