Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Death save - 20. I don't believe it...

Dorvin feels the power of the ancestors (or more likely their stern regard) and clings with dogged tenacity to life. He plays possum, and acts as if still unconscious.

Back on 18 hp and conscious, Still prone.

You jammy beggar :D He should have shoved you off the ledge while he had the chance, but he was too busy gloating.

Volund himself lifts Dorvin back to life, whispering words of encouragement in dwarven into his ears.

Move Q9, R10, S11, jump to U13 (Athletics 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6), V13. (The DC was only 5 anyway, so I guess it was an auto-success.)

Ack. I've only just realised, there is no way Guldarin can have maintained his wall of light all this time. It needs a minor. I'm dropping it at the start of his turn. Proper update to follow.

Guldarin - a couple of things to note. I need two saves from you (ongoing 10 plus restrained and immobilised). Also note that Nayce is restrained and can't be just plucked skywards unless he's not. Also note that the Teardrop is still on Amenephus's body.

Radiance arcs around Guldarin as the invoker struggles in the coins binding him and his angel allies fly to aid his friends. The first of the kytons falls in a blur of light.

Wait, it was only a minor to take the teardrop? Well, I couldn't have done anything with it anyway, being restrained. But I was gonna take it on my next turn :( Well, that's what thievery is for :)

OA 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 vs AC. 1d8 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8 damage.

As far as I know, taking an object is a minor, but it may not be. If so, he'll still take it on his turn, but won't get the second move. Thoughts anyone?

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Picking up or taking an object is usually a minor action.

Male Dwarf Invoker/Divine Philosopher 14

"Heal Amenephus. Finish the devil." In response to Guldarin's commands, the angelic messenger floats towards Amenephus prone form and a flare of healing light resotres him to consciousness. The sword angel carries attempting on it's task of smashing hamatulae.

Move action, Angelic Messinger moves to hover in U11
Standard action, melee 1, target Amenephus who regains 1d6 ⇒ 6 hit points
Minor action, Sword Angel swings at H1, attack 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30 vs Fort, damage 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Guldarin should be clear of conditions.

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Anyone who can do so, we have to stop K3; if it gets to Tanya, we are screwed . I'll head for the stairs and try to hold it off. If I'm alive at that point

Male Dwarf Invoker/Divine Philosopher 14

The angelic messenger has fly 8 and can carry someone with it, provided they start adjacent. Two moves gets either Nayce or Amenephus up to the alter on Guldarin's next turn. So you can have help. Although there's also the possibility of the angel healing Rusty. Or I can send the Sword Angel up their, Fly 6.

Guldarin's angelic cohorts continue their good work. The sword angel methodically strikes at the Hamatula, while the patient messenger hovers beside Nayce.

Screaming hideous oaths, Tarisaul crawls from behind the lower force and does all in his power to stop the heroes.

Dimensional Binding recharges on bloodied. v Will. Area 2 within 15. On hit, target is dazed (se).
Centred on U15 and targeting Amenephus, Nayce and Isari.
1d20+9=19. Tarisaul v Amenephus. Miss.
1d20+6=13. Tarisaul v Nayce. Miss. (I know he can't see him, but it's a burst rolled at -5)
1d20+11=21. Tarisaul v Isari. Miss.

Battered and on their last legs, the devils keep to their work, seeking to hinder any attempt to stop the Teardrop's destruction on the altar.

The Hamatula tries to grab hold of Isari and misses horribly. K1 notices Amenephus's dangerous return to consciousness and spitefully swings his coin-laden flail at the eladrin.

H1 shifts and grabs at Isari.
Posionbarb Tackle (AC). On hit target is grabbed.
1d20+12=16. H1 v Isari. Miss.

K1 attacks Amenephus
Doubledown (AC). Two melee basic attacks.
1d20+16=21. K1 v Amenephus. Miss.
1d20+16=33. K1 v Amenephus. Hits. 2d4+2=4

To its clear disgust, the cleric yet lives.

Urk. Not a good round for my chaps.

Kyton devil 1 - BLOODIED

Why won't anything hit me? I want to use Frost Backlash already.

Isari steps back and pulls the kyton away from the cleric.

Shift to R12 and use Lightning Lure on K1(vs Fort, pull to S12 on a hit.) 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 241d6 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13

Could be that you have a +3 to all your defenses and I'm rolling crud.

Isari wades into the lava and wipes out the Kyton menacing Amenephus. Finally there is a glimmer of hope for the heroes.

Only to Fort/Reflex/Will. The stance only applies my warding to all my defenses, my AC's still the same. I could of explained it better.

There's still the "rolling crud" part :) Never underestimate the ability of the dice to make an idiot of both players and GM.

Male Dwarf Warlord 10

Athletics check to jump over the water to H16. 1d20+11 = 13 - round down = 1 square. Bit daft really as with my score in it I can always jump 1 square but anyway! carry on with the rest of the move to H20. Move again to K23.

Dorvin looks on in horror as the kyton steals the Teardrop but cheers as Isari fells its fellow.

"Good one, lad!"

He weighs up whether or not to confront the woman who has given the party such trouble, but instead decides to stall the kyton.

Bloodied, battered and quite unbowed, Dorvin leaps the water and heads for the stairs preparing to ward off the oncoming Kyton.

minor: Periapt of Cascading Health used to end blindness
Sacred Flame on H1, 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 vs ref, 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 radiant damage and Rusty gains 6 temp hps
1d20 ⇒ 8 save vs immobilized

Amenephus fires off a golden blast at the devil but misses the mark badly.

Newly restored to life, Amenephus tries to save Rusty, but his narrow brush with the Raven Queen leaves him shakey.
