You guys hear something behind you, from back where you came in. As you whirl around you see the biggest Gnoll you've ever imagined! He carries a giant war axe. Around his waste is a belt on which are tied barely alive pugwamis. The pugs up in the rafters stop firing and cheer Kakooyapesh! Kakooyapesh!. The Gnoll himself says something strange in broken common: I is just like lord Kardswaan!

A large grin spreads across Khayal's face as he sees his new target.
Khayal tightens his grip on his kukris and charges headlong at the gnoll.

Dhavyn rushes ahead gathering his power as he does. He spreads his hands exclaiming ברענען הענטand sends a fan of searing hot flames at the hapless pugwampis D & E.

Burning Hands: V, S / 15 cone burst / Reflex DC15 for half damage. Flammable materials burn if the flame touches them. A character can extinguish burning items as a full-round action.

Fire Damage: 2d4 ⇒ (1, 1) = 2

Hajar turns to meet the new threat, double moving towards the large Gnoll he calls out in gnollish.

Bahram takes a five-foot step to his left, (still 25 feet from the pugs, mind you) and lets a card fly at pug B.

Card throw: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 5 - 2 = 15
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

BTW, I'm not using harrow cards to throw yet, my one harrow deck is too precious. I'm throwing regular playing cards that I've enchanted with my arcane pool. :-D

Avenka 4 As the smoke clears from Bartan's card the pug seeing Avenka! Just before she swings the pug blurts in Gnollish:Where did you come from? That hits. B crumbles dead with a scream of crumbling and death.

The sound behind them catches Anjali's attention. Whirling around, she sees the gnoll. Though her first instinct is to loose all her bolts upon the vile creature, she gauges her chances of hitting it when both Hajar and Khayal are within feet of it. Torn between the two groups, her lips thin in frustration.

Her feet leave the steps as she makes the decision to move closer to Hajar and Khayal.

Making a sweeping gesture with her hand , another fiery incantation leaves her lips as she casts a spell upon the gnoll.

Moved to new location on map, casting Doom on Kookookachoo, DC 13.

k-dog's will save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10 curses!

Kakooyapesh grits his teeth and flies into a RAGE. nasty gnoll axe 1d20 + 9 - 2 ⇒ (18) + 9 - 2 = 25 for 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10 Hit!

Hajar shouts For the Dawnflower! as he brings his falchion down in a mighty swing designed to decapitate Kakooyapesh Falchion 2H, PA, Smite: 1d20 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 3 = 17 Falchion 2H, PA, Smite: 1d20 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 3 = 8 but the unluck aura of the Pugwampi protects the vile gnoll.

Bartan moves closer to Dhavyn. "Let's finish these, no?"

He casts color spray at pug D from a scroll he pops out of a wrist sheath (both wrist sheaths are now empty, BTW)

DC 13 Will save or unconscious, blind, etc.

Horror struck at how deeply the gnoll's axe bit into Khayal, Anjali springs in action. Biting her lip, guttural sounds of flames rush past her lips as she runs toward Khayal.

She reaches out and touches his back, her hand warm, as she intones the words that call forth a healing spell. Energy radiates from her palm, the scent of roses seemingly stronger now for Khayal. The burning flame-tongue Anjali is inflicted with gets louder. Her lips move, though it sounds as if a bonfire roared and spit a gout of flames up to the sky.

Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Moved on the map to the square right behind Khayal. Cast Cure Light Wounds. Khayal gets 6hp back.

Avenka hears "sweetie", but is too much in the zone for the moment to think of other than smash the pug (B).

Realizing that she is alone up there, Avenka gets down to help the others.

Avenka grasps the ladder rungs and slides down ghost-buster style. When her feet hit the deck she skitters at double move speed to help the others...TLAR. map updated. Adjust if you had something else in mind.

Kakooyapesh in Gnoll: Do you like fighting in the aura of the pugwampi? Most Gnolls hate them but I find their company refreshing. The pugs hanging from his belt laugh.

With Khayal still hurt and Hajar sustaining a fresh wound, Anjali backs up. She judges the maximum distance of her channeling and positions herself carefully. Another wave of warmth and healing washes over most of the group.

Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 3hp healed.

Moved to location on map, casting Channel Energy: 30' radius centered on sun symbol on the map. Khayal and Hajar are at the very edge of the heal (3hp healed), but Bahram is unhurt thus far and so is Yazi.

Khayal wonders to himself, This tattooed woman's magic is strong, I have heard of such things but never felt them.

Seeing the fight drag on Yazi will charge the Gnoll. Thanks for the purple line for improved aiming :3
