Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar double moves toward the enemies.
Hajar does not own a ranged weapon, and I'm sure I'll fail any acrobatics check thrown at me to run across rafters....so in short I'm useless.

Dhavyn Barr |

Dhavyn pushes past/follows Khayal inside the doorway following Hajar's mad charge with his gaze. He prepares to rain arcane fire on any pugwampi that might approach the group.
Just a move and readied action just in case they are stupid enough to actually come and rush the party but that's relying on them being stupid twice which is unlikely. I hope I didn't mess up the diagonal movement rules but meh. Moved character. 30 ft range for that readied blast.

Bahram the rogue |

mind if Bahram does something pre-initiative? I went and moved on the map but had to run out before I could post, If not oh well...

Hadassa |

You are not pre-initiative! Monsters are not in bold. It's your turn!
ROUND 1
--------------------
Monsters 23 holding action: arrows triggered when characters step within range...
----------------------
Hajar 18
Khayal 18,
Dhavyn 17 readied action: acid; trigger - pug jumping down like an idiot to ground level.
Anjali 14,
Bahram 12,
Bartan 11,
Yazi 9,
Avenka 4,

Bahram the rogue |

the reason I ask is using stealth before initiative and after, since they are now there I cannot use stealth while before I could. unless he can use stealth at this time

Bartan Harrowborn |

Bartan moves forward 30 feet, pops a scroll of shield from his spring-loaded wrist sheath, and casts it on himself.
Token moved, AC updated.

Hadassa |

Hm. You are just over 100ft away, so that's +1 per 10ft. Then because Hajar has run up to distract them they are distracted, so +5. That's a DC15 perception check for them to be "observing" you successfully just now. So lets roll:
A: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (10) + 6 = 16 is observing you
B: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25 is observing you
C: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (11) + 6 = 17 is observing you
D: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
E: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23 is observing you
F: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 is observing you

Hadassa |

Hajar and Bartan are within range! Monsters unleash held actions!
A at Bartan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 for 1d3 ⇒ 1
B at Bartan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 for 1d3 ⇒ 3
C at Bartan: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 for 1d3 ⇒ 1 HIT!
D at Hajar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 for 1d3 ⇒ 1
E at Hajar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21 for 1d3 ⇒ 3 HIT!
F at Hajar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 for 1d3 ⇒ 1
ROUND 1

Yazi 9,
Avenka 4,

Bahram the rogue |

got it I snooze I loose, no stealth.
maybe some other combat.
of course you didn't answer the question about allowing me to sneak before the monsters appeared. since I didn't post anything. if not, can I begin back where i was before we entered.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Now that Hajar has their attention he will go full defensive (+4AC) until he sees a target. Hajar's AC should be 21 now.

Hadassa |

Bahram I may roll initiatve long before combat starts so that I can make the stack. You can sneak all the way up until I roll monster PERCEPTION check. If I don't roll perception check then they are taking 10 and I will roll IF you roll sneak to see if you sneak. Let's skip it this time.
ROUND 1

Bahram the rogue |

stealth: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10
yeah never mind all that to follow up with a crappy roll...Just go back to you normal game now
Bahram closes his eyes and walk into a pillar
Bahram simply attempts to stealthily advance on the enemy
moved on the map

Khayal Bin Haleen |

Khayal will sheath one of his kukris and draw a throwing axe on the move.
I can not access the map but I would be trying to get within line of sight and as close as I can so I have a decent chance of hitting.

Hadassa |

Khayal I moved you. If you throw that thing due east 60 ft you will hit one:) Is there another site I can post screenshots on that will get through the Navy's evil firewalls?
ROUND 2
A at Anjali: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (17) + 3 = 20 for 1d3 ⇒ 1 HIT
B at Khayal: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23 for 1d3 ⇒ 2 HIT
C at Avenka: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (4) + 3 = 7 for 1d3 ⇒ 1
D at Avenka: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9 for 1d3 ⇒ 3
E at Hajar: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15 for 1d3 ⇒ 3

Gosh I hope somebody comes up with an idea for clearing these little devils out!

Bahram the rogue |

Bahram advances once more attempting to remain hidden as best as possible.
stealth round 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (20) + 9 = 29

Khayal Bin Haleen |

Khayal grunts as the small arrow pricks his skin.
He thinks to himself I hate archers.
Khayal will move another 40 feet to get within 20.

Anjali Nejem |

Anjali cries out as an arrow grazes her. The pain spurs her into action. She steps up, largely unintelligible syllables burning as they tumble forth from her. She lifts her gaze to the pugwampi up on the rafters directly in front of her.
"Ugly little dog. Perhaps your bow doesn't work as well as you think."
Drawing her crossbow with one hand, Anjali uses the other to gesture as she calls forth the words of a spell to her lips.
Five foot step forward, draw weapon, casting Doom on pugwampi C: DC 13, shaken for 10 rounds, –2 penalty on attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks.
EDIT: Fixed DC, not that it matters. The pug got a 14. (Un)Lucky dog.

Hadassa |

C will save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 4 = 14 in Terran and Gnollish mixure: Ack! I curse your curses foul desert wench! After you die I shall cut off your locks and use them as unluck charms in Katapesh for the putting underneath of childrens pillows!!!

![]() |

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (14) + 13 = 27
Doc Assisting: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Lacking a ranged weapon Yazi will begin scanning the area to see if there is a way to get to the rafters of the building from the outside.

Hadassa |

Why yes, yes there is. It would be a DC15 climb check. Once you get there at quad speed. And the dog may use his jumping mod because of the crumbled battlements. And since this all happened in your memory of the view walking up to the monestary it does not count as a turn. Khayal will you be throwing that axe after that move action?

![]() |

"Be right back." Yazi will brusquely say as she leaves and heads to the battlements, and seeing if she is not currently being attacked will take her time to climb up, especially given the presence of the pugwampis.
Taking 20 on a climb check for a total of 20 if allowed once she gets to them, otherwise here's the rolls:
Climb: 1d20 ⇒ 16
Dog Jumping: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
Leaning over the edge she'll whisper back to Doc,
Don't really know where to position myself on the map though.

Dhavyn Barr |

Dhavyn rushes after others but only as far as Hajar, using him as improvised cover.
I'm taking double move but only as far as Hajar. Using him as a soft cover. Whether you wish to use soft cover rules or not is up to you.

Khayal Bin Haleen |

Staying outside of the accursed bad luck Khayal throws his throwing axe from 20 feet away.
axe: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (11) + 3 - 2 = 121d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
What is this monastery made of perhaps we could light a bit of brush on fire outside the monastery and smoke them out. Or at least cause them to suffer smoke inhalation.

Dhavyn Barr |

Dhavyn lowers his voice whispering those around him "I can burn some of those little bastards and hope the rafters around them catch on fire but I need to be almost under them for it to work" he prepares to charge in.
Free actions wahoo. Not sure if they understand common so whispering. FYI: There's no point burning the rafters when one of them is not near it. It's not like rafters are covered in oil or made of tinder. Even if they catch on fire and it spreads at pace of 5ft/round it will take multiple rounds for fire to reach them if I use the spell at steps. I hope Anjali has her heals ready for next round...

Bartan Harrowborn |

Bartan moves forward, heedless of the little arrow streaking toward him.
"Take this, you foul little creature!"
He speaks an incantation, and in his hand a ball of snow appears. He throws it at the nearest pugwampi.
Move up to within 25 feet (but NOT 20 feet, so I shouldn't quite be in the unluck aura), casting snowball, hurling it at pug C.
Snowball ranged touch: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12 <- Unfortunately, probably misses.
Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2, Fort save DC 15 or staggered for 1 round.

Avenka Thalma |

Avenka charges at pug D. She knows of the unluck thing, but doesn't care, it didn't affect her that much sooner... and she is a barbarian, so the best strategy is offense !
Attack roll #1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12
Attack roll #2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
If hits, damage :
Damage: 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Avenka Thalma |

Hadassa, if it's ok with you, I'll just double-move to the stairs (go to discussion where Dhavyn and I talk about this) because I didn't notice the setup correctly... So don't mind my rolls I did for round 2 since I was not able to charge anyway... Please let me know if it's ok

Hadassa |

Yazi climbs around and in a hole in the wall into the choir loft. I moved you. The pugs you see are the same ones. The grey lines are main rafters.
Okay, I posted a few answers in discussion. Check the summary below and make sure we are all on the same page before we move to round 3. If there are no questions in the next 2 hours I will kick things off...
ROUND 2 Summary

Anjali 14 casted doom but monster saved
Bahram 12 in stealth mode now
Bartan 11 missed entirely with a snowball. *sad face*
Yazi 9 climbed up the outside of the building. Actually dogs get’s +9 jumping, for next time.

Yazi you feel a wet slippery nose on your leg. You turn around to see Doc...he disobeyed and followed you up here!

Dhavyn Barr |

Dhavyn rushes next to Bartan and unleashes a ray of fire at the nearest pugwampi.
Ray of Fire: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Fire damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6
real burnination time next round. Edit: Meh Khayal got it before me as he is first in initiative and the others are out of range. Used up my full normal movement allocation... well at least it's very dead now :)

Khayal Bin Haleen |

Khayal draws his second throwing axe and throws it at the nearest pug.
Axe: 1d20 + 3 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 2 = 171d6 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Nice! I finally did some good damage.
He then gets a little closer to Anjali to be close enough for her healing. (5ft step)

Anjali Nejem |

Anjali's breath hisses through her teeth as more arrows fall. Heedless of the danger, she steps forth thrusting a fist to the sky as she channels her healing. A warmth infused with the faint scent of roses may be felt by those within reach of the surge of energy.
Move to location on the map. Channel Energy to heal everyone within a 30' radius, centered on the small sun by Anjali's avatar.
Healed HP: 1d6 ⇒ 3

Bartan Harrowborn |

Perception check to notice that the hope holding up the bone fixture is relatively weak:
Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13
Swift action to use an arcane pool point to enchant his deck of cards.
If that Perception roll is high enough, Bartan will target the rope with a card. If it's not high enough, he'll target the pugwampi holding the rope.
Thrown card: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 - 2 = 17 <-- (penalty is from being one range increment too far away, worth it to keep out of the unluck aura)
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar will continue providing soft cover for the sorceror while maintaining a defensive stance.

Hadassa |

Khayal's axe lands softly in the potatoe sized head of the Pugwampi designated "C". At the same moment Dhavyn's ray of fire burns it alive. Just as it dies Bartan's card slices the rope holding up the gnoll skull chandelier and our friend "C" rides it all the way to the ground. Whereupon... and what happens next is actually described in the AP: the gnoll-skull chandelier and its tiny occupant falls 10 feet to crash on the floor below. A creature underneath can make a DC 10 Reflex save to avoid being struck by the falling object for 1d4 points of damage.
But Pug C is plenty dead before he hits the ground.

Stealthfuly Bahram advances closer toward the pugs.
move 15' forward (half move for stealth)
stealth check: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10

![]() |

Turning from Doc she'll strut over to the nearest Pugwumpi and give it a good kick to its back. Bull Rush to knock off the ledge.
Punt: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10
Punt: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
"Hi Guys!" She'll loudly proclaim to the Pugwampis with an evil grin stretching across her face. Doc follows closely behind, licking his lips most hungrily.

Intimidate: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15

Doc Assist: 1d20 - 2 ⇒ (19) - 2 = 17

Hajar nar Jundi |

Hajar says They call for allies! but continues to block for the wizard. Move me and Dhavyn together.

Bartan Harrowborn |

Bartan moves up to 25 ft. from two of the pugwampis, and throws a card at D.
Card throw: 1d20 + 5 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 2 = 5
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
...and misses miserably. :(

Anjali Nejem |

Anjali tentatively takes her place up on the steps and loads her crossbow. She takes aim at one of the pugwampis and lets the bolt fly. The harsh fiery syllables that sound like dry logs catching flame keep pouring out of her mouth.
"I am tired of seeing the likes of you spreading your unluck like a plague."
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 1 = 15
