You said to write a good post about how we obtained information. Not sure if this qualifies but it is an attempt. If it doesn't qualify, I understand :)

As Rowan dashed up the stairs, she was suddenly surrounded by brilliant, pure light. She blinked a few times against the brightness. The horrid stench had disappeared and been replaced by the smell of roses. She paused, confused because she was by herself. Everyone else had disappeared. The only thing in the impossibly radiant room was a single red rose floating before her. She reached out to grasp it. As her right hand closed around the stem, she was pricked by one of the thorns. She gingerly took the rose in her left hand while she instinctively sucked the blood off her right thumb. Immediately information flooded her mind about the devils pursuing them. The light dimmed and she was again on the stairs beside Tillia with Vandomir close behind them. Surprisingly, she could still only smell roses and the horrible smells didn’t return. Looking down, she still held the rose in her hand.

”Move!” Eirik shouted, urging Caleb on as they fled to join the others. He tried to rack his brain for anything he might have read about demons and their like from books of history. The fell beasts had played a large role in the history of the Cheliax Empire since Abrogail's time. She used her new allies to beat her political opponents into submission, and the creatures had augmented her mortal soldiers on many a battlefield. Eirik had read dozens of books and scrolls on that very era, but was there aything of use in what he could recall?

Insert long-shot Knowledge History roll...

Knwledge History: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

... which fails, as befits the stretching of the rule.

No, he decided, shaking his head. Given time, perhaps he could have remembered something. But time he did not have. Besides, most tomes had focused on thereasons and results of said battles, not what fell forces had been brought to play and certainly not what they could do, in sufficient detail to be of any use to him here.

Besides, he had far more pressing concerns – the lumbering beasts had taken the short way across and threatened to cut them off at the stairs after all. Muttering a prayer to Master of the First Vault, Eirik sprinted past the mystic, seeking to lure the beasts into attacking him and not getting lodged in the choke point before he and Caleb could get past them.

Seems awfully like the monsters will get to the choke point before Eirik does... he might be able to wiggle through their ranks using Acrobatics, but he doesn't know if Caleb could... so he'll rush to the corner opposite Rowan (or as close as he can... if that is a corner... or is the thin line on the map a railing?) and attack a lemure (I expect there will soon be one in reach from there) to try and delay them so Cabel can get through. Might as well use the last Stunning Fist charge here, just in case it will work.

Unarmed: 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 6 - 2 = 16
Damage, lethal: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4 + DC13 save

And we shall see whether they have DR or not...

The Lion Springs, into Shake Dew from the Branches. A flying kick landed on the moving mound of mutated flesh, apparently barely registering, but Eirik was fine with that. Because the push kick that followed hit as planned. The monk twisted his face in pure revulsion as his foot seemed to sink into the stinking flesh as if there were no bones under the skin and muscle.

Assuming it does have some visible effect...

The otherworldly thing moaned in what Eirik took to be pain and the monk was heartened – perhaps, after all, the things could be bested without magic!

And assuming it doesn't, which I think more likely...

The otherworldly thing seemed to ignore Eirik's kick and the monk's face blanched. If that did nothing, what he could do would?

Off for a business trip tomorrow, btw. Will be away this Sun and Mon. Back on Tue. If needed, please autopilot Eirik. He doesn't really believe we can get away clean, but would like to fight in a more advantageous location, and will use himself as a shield if necessary. Or perhaps try to kite the critters around the place if getting through to the others gets tough.

Tillia began to retreat up the stairs as her comrades began to flee, she was almost out of spells already and was wracking her brain for anything she knew of these. It was times like this she wished she had paid more attention to her master when he taught her of devils but that topic was one that never really interested her. Still she had some knowledge, some of it had to have stuck with her and then it dawned on her what she might do to at least slow them down. She stopped her flight and retrieved one of her scrolls when it suddenly hit her, she remembered that her master had summoned one of these to show her into paying attention.

I remember when the Master got particularly angry at my lack of focus on the subject of devils, he waited until I was in the shower and summoned one of these. I was caught unawares by it as it lumbered into the room and came for me, it's blubbery arms reaching out to grab me as it looked almost lustfully at my unclothed form. I cast my most potent magics on it but they had absolutely no effect as there seemed nothing to grab onto. I felt it's arms wrap around me as it tried to envelope me or something, my screams muffled by it's flesh. Then it was gone and I collapsed beneath the water feeling horrifically violated even though it had done nothing to me. The master had my attention after that as he explained what it was and what it's strengths were and the magic that can easily kill it.

I move 30 feet to my left and then retrieve a scroll of grease.

That would be fine and also add that they are not affected by mind affecting spells. That should freak Caleb and hopefully we will get a good post from him. :)

Immune to mind effecting is exactly why they freak me out, I'm an enchantress, a lot of my stuff won't work on them.

Tillia called out, "I've...seen one of these before, I know any mind affecting spells won't work on them as they have no mind to affect!" She shuddered with horror as she remembered the feel of one groping her body.

Female Human Warpriest/4

After her vision, Rowan had a better idea of how to fight the lemures if they had to. Thanks to Milani's blessings, the warpriest had the ability to make her weapon into a weapon of good. She also had the silver dagger from Rexus. Pulling out the dagger, she pressed it into Vandomir's hand. "Silver weapons may do more damage to the creature than your sword. If you need to, use it."

tag Vandomir ?

With that, she put herself between Vandomir and the slowly approaching devils. She kept a close eye on Caleb and Eirik, determined to intercede if they couldn't escape the lemure's touch. Readying her weapon, the warpriest prepared to call on Milani to bless it with the power of purity and goodness.

Rowan will use the Holy Strike blessing to make her weapon good when necessary. As it only lasts a minute, she'll bless her morningstar when/if we fight the lemures. Probably won't get away from them without having to fight.

Encouraged by the speed with which everyone was trying to leave, Vandomir stayed near Rowan. He reached out his hand and accepted the dagger from her, while putting away his now, "thank you priestess, smaller than my norm, to be sure."

If folks are able to keep leaving:

Seeing that those who were at risk of being cut off had made it by the threat, he turned and continued up the stairs observing, "I see no reason to stop this side of a butter merchant!"

If folks are cut off and we're forced to fight:

With no option but to fight, Vandomir hefted the dagger before striking at the nearest creature.

Dagger: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
Dagger: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

The silver edge of the borrowed dagger sliced deep into the creature, and something disgusting oozed out, "If I get that stuff on me, lice will be the least of my problems I wager."

Turn 22
Action 1
Tillia realized that some of her compatriots were cut off and Vandomir was fighting alone and decided it was time to use the scroll she had retrieved. She moved forward to stand next to Rowan and then began to read from the scroll, the arcane words tumbled from her lips, she pointed and as the words vanished from the scroll a patch of grease suddenly appeared beneath the lemures.

I move down to stand in the square to Rowan's north as of the start of the round and cast grease from the scroll. The patch appears so it is beneath both Lemures and they need to fail a dc 11 reflex save (unless you will allow my casting stat mod since I did create the scrolls in which case it's a dc 14) or fall prone, either way they need an acrobatics check to move at half speed dc 10.

That's Ok; it's not the end of the world.

With regards as to why I had you go north: if you went south, you would not have been able to strike and it just seemed to make more sense for you to move a shorter distance and strike where there was only one opponent instead of two. Don't forget that you guys see the start and end of the turn but there's a lot of movement that goes on between those two instants.

If it's a huge deal, let me know and we'll fix it.

gtg, not sure how I missed that!

"There is no choice now. We must fight, otherwise the other two will be stuck down here with these creatures," announced Vandomir.

He swung at the wounded creature in his face...

Dagger: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 - 1 - 1 = 21
Dagger: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

... the light blade again connecting with its flesh, releasing more of the creature's lifeblood onto the floor. He backed through the doorway away from the two creatures, and towards the steps.

My intent is to swing, and then 5' away. I'm just trying to not get swarmed by 2 of these things. I am defending both of the ladies I might point out! As an aside, I am geek enough to have calculated the expected damage from swinging the greatsword and taking the -5 for DR, and comparing that to the dagger, in this instance. The greatsword would average 3.15 DMG, and the dagger 4.5, so right now the dagger is the better option.

Quickly tucking the rose behind her ear, Rowan called on Milani's blessing of good upon her weapon as she moved forward. Her morningstar began to glow with a pure white light which she then proceeded to swing at the lemure's head.

Okay - this is weird, but...,
I was thinking of having Caleb quickly thread a button onto his belt to create a 'brass knuckle' type weapon for Eirik.
Sadly I can't see anyway to do that that doesn't take four or five turns.
Therefore...
assuming Eirik is still in combat

Caleb turned, and much against his better judgement turned towards the thing attacking Eirik. Desperately his mind felt for some way to stop these things. There didn't seem to be any warding, so why did they stay down here?

The bars he realised. They Couldn't get through the bars. There must be a limit to how goopy they can go!

Taking heart he turned and charged, flipping his coat off as he ran.
dirty trick! + flanking + charge - wounded: 1d20 + 0 + 2 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 0 + 2 + 2 - 1 = 19 no AoO because stealthed. No dex to defence. Imposing blinded

From nowhere Caleb appeared to fling his dirty yellow coat over the protean abomination, his coat flopping over it and leaving it grasping blindly for its victim. "Quick!" he yelled to Eirik "Help me bind it down and then we'll kick the plasm out of it!"

if he's not there, cast Message on him and Vandomir (assuming I can see them both). Curse this reduced CL!

Female Human Warpriest/4

sorry, I thought Rowan cast bless last round which is why she was attacking this round. If she can't do both then I'll stick to my initial action and attack next round.

Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

Eirik could just about overhear the exchange between Rowan and Vandomir. So, they needed aspected weapons to hurt these things? That'd explain how easily the thing had shrugged off his kick. The monk racked his brain, trying to find some way to fight effectively. He had some silver in his pocket, but would a coin even be of sufficient purity to harm these hell-spawned menaces? And if it would, how would he go about using coins in a battle? If he had time, he figured he could have melted some wax to glue coins to his knuckles, but...

… but nothing. He didn't have time. But at least the noble was making a difference in the battle, wielding the dagger they had found. So if they could just hold out long enough, the things could be eventually taken care of.

Caleb wrote:
"Quick!" he yelled to Eirik "Help me bind it down and then we'll kick the plasm out of it!”

… and then there was this. The magus appeared from shadows like an apparition, and cast his coat over the creature's head. There was no time for coherent thought, so the monk reacted by instinct alone.

So... if I understand Caleb's intentions right... the thing gets an AoO, but getting blinded by the coat should help against that.

Initiate grapple: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 - 2 = 18
Pin action: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 - 2 = 14 I think the -4 enemy Dex from being grappled should help here, lowering its CMD

Whirwind on the Mountain. The monk stepped lithely around the suddenly blinded abomination, planted two quick kicks at the backs of its knees with one foot, then grapped hold of the free-flying sleeves of the coat, crossed his arms to tie the obstruction in place over its head and entangling the arms with which it had tried to grasp the offending fabric and slammed his other foot into the small of the enemy's lower back, overbalancing the enemy. The monk rode the falling mass of purulent flesh down and sought to hold it down.

Of course, imitative order might screw the teamwork up, but then again, Eirik has kinda delayed action already to allow Caleb to move before he did, so... up to you, o' benevolent GM ;^)

Reminder: dirty trick lasts 1 round. Once Caleb's round comes up again, the thing will no longer be blinded. It can spend a move action before then to remove the condition. If it does, it won't be able to full attack.

Also, I believe Caleb should be at the pus-monster, given he charged.

Action 1, Round 4
Caleb blinked what he fervently hoped was sweat out of his eyes as the putrid thing's head peeked out, roaring its anger at its attackers.

Trusting Eirik to keep it contained, he whipped off his studded leather belt and flipped it around the things' neck, studs out. "Keep it still while I slip some silvers between the leather and its neck!" he shouted to Eirik.
attack+bless-wound+flanking: 1d20 + 0 + 1 - 1 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 0 + 1 - 1 + 2 = 19 honestly, I'm guessing on this roll, feel free to use something else. Trying to make an improvised silver weapon for Eirik.
if fails
flailing wildly the thing's soft head deformed as it slipped through the belt.
if succeeds and there's time
Caleb thanked his patron that he'd flipped a gold and not a handful of silver to the florist. Then he dipped into his pouch and came up with a few silver coins that he tucked between the belt and the neck. "Please Callistria, let at least one mint be honest about their silver's purity."

Grapple, maintain: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 1 - 2 = 17

So, Eirik can maintain grapple on his part easily enough (and now gets a +5 bonus to do that on following rounds). But Caleb's improvised weapon... I doubt the mere touch of silver will do much (perhaps mildly inconveniencing the lemure), but if you thought Eirik could use the coins as a sort of improvised knuckle iron... as long as Eirik maintains the grapple, he can choose to deal damage with a natural or light weapon. Those coins would likely count as one. And that I believe requires no hit roll, just the damage as the rules simply state: “You can inflict damage to your target equal to your unarmed strike, a natural attack, or an attack made with armor spikes or a light or one-handed weapon. This damage can be either lethal or nonlethal.” And the damage would be... I have no idea. But it would certainly sound worth trying, particularly since it's the mystic who suggests it – someone Eirik certainly sees as his superior in matters otherworldly.

Unsure of the status of his two companions, Vandomir called out, "Caleb? Eirik? What is happening? We are facing two of these creatures at the foot of the stairs. Silver is apparently working on them."

Having finished his questioning of the missing party members, Vandomir returned to the mission at hand: survival. He crouched and swung at the nearest creature, hoping to drop it.

Dagger: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 1 - 1 - 1 = 4
Dagger: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

However, luck was not with him, and he missed completely. "It's the size of this blade you see," he quipped to Rowan.

Caleb wrote:
"Keep it still while I slip some silvers between the leather and its neck!" he shouted to Eirik.

Understanding dawning, the monk struggled with the beast he was grappling. Were it a mortal man he fought, he would have been pretty confident he could keep his foe immobile, but this thing... it struggled fiercely, trashing around hard enough to tear its own muscles, yet showed no sign of pain. Only rage at being denied a target for its wicked claws.

Not knowing how long he could keep the beast held down, Eirik wasted no time in acting as soon as he was the mystic slip the last coin under the belt he had lopped around the demon's neck. Hoping the touch of silver would be enough to weaken it, Eirik stomped down on the belt, grinding the coins under his boot into the beast's spine.

Stats

Mechanically: coins don't do a lot of damage. But they would do silver damage. Even a point a round is good.
Anything can be used as an improvised weapon. The roll is to use the belt as one. The coins are going to make it an improvised silver weapon.

In game: the belt keeps the silver pressed against the creature. That means force applied to the belt is transmitted to the coins, embedding them deeper and deeper in the creature. As the belt tightens it cuts the creature in half. The embedded coins prevent it reforming.

Look, it's not a great weapon. At best it's probably d3 silver with -4 to attack.

Turn 24

"What the blazes are you thinking woman? How about we stop one before you start in on anothe?" Vandomir hid his disbelief at the effectiveness of her swing with his rant.

With a flick of his wrist he brought the silver dagger into contact with the more injured of their two opponents.

Dagger: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 1 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 1 - 1 - 1 = 19
Dagger: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Either: The gash from the dagger proved decisive and the creature slumped to the ground. "NOW we can handle the second one," he stated.

Or: "Just how hard can these things be?" Vandomir sounded exasperated having again hit the creatures, but they being tougher than he imagined.

Turn 24
Her fear of these things was great due to her previous experience with one and she found herself with no other options at the moment as she was sure she couldn't hit them with her allies between her and the things. So she simply dismissed the now useless grease patch and moved a short way up the stairs for a better vantage point.

I dismiss the grease as a standard, not doing any good now anyway, and move ten feet up the stairs.

Male Human Monk (unchained) 11

Eirik spat blood on the beast’s back and tightened his hold, looping the sleeves of the coat around the arm that had just lashed out at him. The touch of silver had indeed had the effect the mystic had obviously hoped, but the monk didn’t have arms and legs to spend to continue the attack.

”You hit it, I’ll hold it down!” Eirik grunted as he struggled with the creature.

Things are getting properly hairy… best try to shut down the thing and let Caleb have a go kicking the coins. So let’s try to pin it so it can’t attack anymore. With -4 to AC and -4 to Dex, Caleb shouldn’t have any problems hurting it.

Grapple, maintain: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 3 + 5 ⇒ (10) + 4 + 1 - 3 + 5 = 17
Grapple, Pin: 1d20 + 4 + 1 - 3 ⇒ (18) + 4 + 1 - 3 = 20

Female Human Warpriest/4

Rowan wanted to end this as soon as possible. Leaving herself vulnerable to lemure attack, she planned her next swing to hit both of the devils before her.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 2 + (4) = 8
Her morningstar kept its momentum and struck the next lemure.
attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 2 + (1) = 6

The intensity of her attack left a wake of puddled devil as she cut her way through the foes so that she could get to Caleb and Eirik.

will use Cleave in my attack. Will start moving, if both our lemures are down, towards Celeb and Eirik.

confirm critical on the first attack...not critical
confirm critical: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11

Awesome stuff Rowan, for RP reasons, I'm hoping you smoked them both!

Stats

Assuming it is pinned (not grappled)
Caleb punched at the neck of the helpless thing again, and again. All it seemed to do was anger the creature.
Coup de grace. No idea how much damage, but assuming coin-belts are 1d3 x2? damage: 1d3 - 1 + 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 + (1) - 1 = 1 - I think that might be 1 lethal, 1 nonlethal
"Do you have something we could use as rope? Another belt? Shoelaces? String?"
