Rose walks in. Come sit down. I called you here because you're all major players in one way or another. You're all major contributors to our overall survival with semi unique skill sets. As things stand, simply stopping to check in with how things are going in your various areas is killing my day making sure I do nothing else productive when I could be contributing. So I'm having us gather, to discuss our progress towards our shared goals. And I would like to make it semi regular.

Who are the only ones getting food even though the food we have only lasts a week and we are half way through it. We didn't think to send more people so we could get another week's worth of food in the same time it would take 2 people to get half a week's worth of food. Yup they have done nothing noteworthy.

That is one of the things I hope we can figure out today. I'm thinking at least once a week, and perhaps taking on an aid, but that's for later.

"I think this sounds to be a good idea, more heads are always better. For that matter, the Alchemy students are doing fine, 3 days on the job Has it been three days? Correct that to the appropriate number if not.. They were very close today to figuring out a way to take your base recipe and make the modifications I added in work together. Their approach is a little unorthodox but I think if they continue on their current path they will figure it out. From there they should be able to at least begin the basics of preparing the plant food recipe's.

I have them taking the day off, to give them a bit of a break as they've been working hard and I don't want to overload them. Burnt out minds are not worth anything.

I'm willing to bet they will have it figured out shortly when they resume tomorrow. Hopefully they will have the procedure down by the end of the day and, like I said, begin working"

" I have not really accomplished much yet, but I have a notion to go out and gather good medical herbs and roots, partially for use as medicine and partly to hand off to Lershoth's Gardener corps so we can get a steady supply of healing materiel developed."

Polmar also looks wistfully at the door. "You know my goal is to retake the surface as quickly as possible, but I know that's not possible if we can't survive under here...I can make clothing but sooner or later we'll need materials for that to be possible. That may require some big game hunting down the line, so if we get any leads on that for Tal and the others you should let us know."

Polmar thinks on what Jalel said and responds " I think weekly status reports and a report anytime someone returns from an expedition should be standard so we don't have any real gaps in what we know of each other's work"

What are your skills?


As a cleric of Shelyn I can heal the wounded but my bed manners aren’t that good. Through music and song I can inspire people. A smooth talker and a perceptive listener. Knowledgeable about a lot of different topics.

Through my magic I can create fresh water and make minor repairs to all kinds of items.

Your backpacks can carry up to 100 pounds. which right now are full. As you enter the cavern you see that it has a open door attached to it and inside and two dead guard looking Yuan-ti, wearing simple clothes and holding long swords.

A little ways beyond them you see large barrels and when you look inside these barrels you see they are full of dried fruits. In this room there is 5 FP worth of food.


It is now early afternoon.

Alright, so is there anything that needs to be said, how goes the gardening and the alchemical teaching, Jalel, has the slave been behaving himself? Is there anything else you can think to bring to my attention?

I could certainly see myself getting along with Polmar. But this Miro, there's something about him... even just looking at him gets my blood boiling.

At Rose's question, Jalel came out of his personal reverie and looked at her.

"Things continue apace for the moment. I have my students performing more basic planting skills and marking each time they do so. It is not a terribly demanding task initially and will allow them to return to their regular tasks for a time. As for Zack, he has not caused any trouble I am aware of. There is little else I can think to bring to the table at the moment."

Sersass, do you mind if we use this food, there are others...friends who we are helping with the food we carry now to feed and this would be a great boon for us and them?
You would certainly be more welcome with this news.

Assuming she says yes, Tagolan, we should go back to the others...arrange a small group to come back here for the barrels right away. This food would be very helpful but whatever killed the Yuanti, we would have to be stealthy and get in and out. Whatever did this...I don't think I want to meet it.

at this point I think we are good to return to base. Tag in the lead with his darkvision about 75 feet ahead.

Polmar nods at Jalel's comments. To a certain extent Polmar was just placating these people. There wasn't a sense of urgency to anything getting done and well, the main goal should ultimately be able to fight their way back to the surface anyway shouldn't it? Ultimately, Polmar wanted to survey and the herb gathering offered a great excuse to do so while being otherwise productive.

Polmar straps on his pack and waits for the others who are coming outside.

It's actually simpler than that. Your character's charisma score is higher which makes you innately stand out more. Jalel is very vain and feels threatened by your presence.

Lershoth and Polmar, actually have fairly good luck finding useful mushrooms and small plants that can be used in alchemy. Jalel, seemed to be having some trouble though. Nothing real eventful is going on with your group currently...


Rose, manages to find a small pocket of worms and a few dead rats, and the outhouses along with a guy who needs to take a dump. Bad!


Miro, makes his rounds then after seeing that no one is in need of medical attention. He prepares to enter the Northeast tunnel. Miro. Would you prefer to wait for nightfall? Or go now, during the early afternoon?

So, I rolled an 18, found none of the ingredients for the stuff I'm making, and find vermin and a guy who needs to take a dump instead. That sucks.
