Things were a bit confused in the beginning mostly because of a lack of description but once the map was posted things became much clearer, plus having free rein amidst an exploding treasure and damsel-laden vessel is great fun. Just please keep up with the description.

CL4P-TP |

Oh I am having loads of fun with this, and I love adding in the extra shots of humor where I can :) Its making my side rather enjoyable. Also, this is the last round before my guys nerve (fine, my nerve :P) breaks and I high tail it out of here. I got exactly 2 rounds of expeditious retreat left and next round I plan on finding my venue of escape and the last round before the big boom, I am running all 240ft out of doge before hitting the dirt :)
Map is good, it was done well and it works wonders for us choosing where we go, if we can figure out something for initiative would be great, as it is chaotic right now, few problems with it so far but I expect to get some big hiccups because of it soon. The arial drone picking me up was brilliant as it ment I wasnt sitting out of the game the whole time, and a few more of those will not be unappreciated. I like how we were given the choice of fighting the big fire giant, and when we didnt, it just walked away instead of forcing us to attack it. Makes combat more interesting when we are not stuck with "Kill EVERYTHING!!!!" Five has been well played so far, he has been useful without derailing or attempting to steal the spotlight. Its been my notice that everyone seems to have something to do, me especially, as I have thrown a total of 2 bombs in combat yet I am running around having a blast bad pun intended and still feeling completely useful and engaged.
I say things are good, keep it up :)

House Rule, 1 and 20s...
For... CL4P-TP, Balthe
Against...Elo,
Switzerland... Swiftstab
People gotta vote, now with this rule it makes you have a chance of failing but also succeeding at higher degrees. So far in my RL group, it has added a lot of flavor that makes sense, rather than me just throwing in quicksand cuz it sounds fun.
Yup, I hope to describe things in decent detail. Also if you wish to know more about something or how it looks feel free to ask.
Initiative will be more active during the rest of the battles, I was just hoping for players to post their rounds, since most of you were rather independent anyway.

CL4P-TP |

round 11
"Eej short stuff!" Swiftstab yells to Johny waving his hand to get the halflings attention "Yeah you blondy! Got any tools on ya? I could use a hand up here!
He gestures at the big box next to him. He then turns to Jack, as he realizes that this is a pretty high truck.
"Catman, could ya lift up my blond friend up here? Just raise him up here and I'll help him in."
The little gobo already raised his hand and cleverly disguised it as a wave :) I did the same thing with Elo, disguising it as a high-five.
...out of curiosity, is there any doors in the side of the cockpit? CL4P-TP is going to make a break for it in the 15th round, and I would like to know where my escape route is :)

York |

Thanks for the autopilot 'Wolf. I've been dealing with some crises out in the real world. Record rains are hitting my part of Canada, and a lot of my family is getting flooded out. Luckily, my area doing ok, but my sister and family are stranded away from home due to washed out highways and my brother's house appears to be at the bottom of a lake.
I'm taking some time off to help deal with some of the fallout, and I don't know what my internet access will be like while I'm away.

York |

I'm in Edmonton, but I have a brother in High River, and my Sister is trying to get back to Lethbridge through the Rockies, but most of the highways are washed out. My Uncle lives in Canmore too, but fortunately he is on a hill. He has fewer houses neighboring him now than he did last week as a few were literally washed away.

Jack Iwamatsu |

For the house rule I'm against it but I don't mind it being there. So if I'm outvoted I won't complain about it.
As for how you doing, I like the situation we are in and how it was set up. I like how the NPCs are acting in general. You seem alright to discuss disagreements so that's good. However I'm with Swiftstab on his railroad comment, as at the minute despite everything that is going on it seems you are guiding us to a single outcome of this event. Also it feels like certain things are set up to be only used by certain players and when another player finds it first we can't do anything about it. Kind of feels a tad restrictive but eh it's the first combat so don't take that criticism too far, I've got little to go on right now.
@Gobo and York: Best of luck to those caught out in the floods, that really sucks when Mother Nature happens.

Jack Iwamatsu |

For the truck crew, that's about to get crushed hitting the shuttle of flying of a cliff.:
A: I don't know about you but I'm getting all funned out.
B: Uh oh
A: Don't tell me, we're about to go over a huge cliff?
B: Yup
A: Sharp rocks at the bottom?
B: Most likely...
A: ...Bring it on!

CL4P-TP |

"BoooYaaaa!!!"
Sound of B going over the edge of the cliff :)

GM Wolf |

Big question guys, what do we do with Johnny? I think we need him, though I guess we could replace him. Should I look for some players that will take his character over or just for some more healers?
Who can heal?
Oh on another note, lookie over there a cliff! HA! You may just get that instance soon enough.

Swiftstab |

Well, you can look for someone to take over Johnny. If you cant find anyone, that cliff seems like an appropriate location to part ways.
Either way, I have no trouble piloting him until you have made up your mind.
If however you do decide on bringing on a new player, give him a choice between taking over Johnny or making a completely new character that has some healing capabilities. If need be however, I could start investing skill points in Use magic device. Just keep in mind that with my charisma penalty, I probably am failing half of the checks to use a wand of CLW.
Alternatively, I heard Five is a druid, so he must have some healing capabilities.

CL4P-TP |

I can create potions of CLW and heal that way, I also should have a select few on me Dangit. I havent finished giving my guy all his items :P I will do that right away.... Once I hit lvl 4 I plan on taking infusion and can hand out more CLW that way or other buffs. On my bard side I can cast a few spells and could probably pick up CLW (if the bard has access to it) there. Sadly I have zip for UMD so I can do light to moderiate healing at best, but not a whole lot.
Not sure about Jonny yet... Let me think about that one a little bit, in the meantime let Swiftstab pilot him, he seems to be having fun and doing a good job of it :)

Swiftstab |

I'll leave it up to the GM to determine where and when exactly we come to a stop.

Jack Iwamatsu |

Considering I've stated before I can carry that much with little issue when shapeshifted, yes Jack will do that. I can carry double that if I just want to stagger around with it. Even then I doubt a single crate weighs over 1500lbs (considering we were also hauling these things no problem a second ago) so if need by I could leave a little bit off and do it again and make multiple treks. Considering I can do that distance in 6 seconds with a heavy load this a non-issue really.

CL4P-TP |

Different question... Can the truck support 1500lb? I dont know what the trucks are like on pandora but that seems like it might be a bit heavy?

Jack Iwamatsu |

Considering we've been told that this thing is a cargo truck and modern day versions carry 50000lbs, I really doubt that should be an issue either. A hilux can carry 1500lbs.

GM Wolf |

Think of this Cargo Truck you have attained, as a Military cargo truck, the ones who have 8 massive wheels on either side. Yes the truck should be able to carry at least 25000 lbs.
Sorry Jack I forgot you had the strength of a Balor! :P
Anyways, yes you can likely get to the truck in 6 seconds though putting it in the truck easily should take about the same amount of time, unless you are just dumping it in the back.
Dear Goodness, I am going to have to beef up the enemy and throw in twice the number, I hope that will be a challenge enough for your group.

Balthe Synder |

yargh! that was an over reaction. Was a long frustrating day of PF. I ran a module for PFS, for 10 hours today, which would have been fun, but it was 85 degrees and the module from Shattered Star is not great for PFS.
I actually really like the AP, but the first Sanctioned Content is just a dungeon crawl...like playing Diablo. Still a fun day, but tough.
Then I get home and first thing I mess up my token! LOL I spent 10 minutes trying to fix it.

Balthe Synder |

its all good. if that is my biggest problem I am doing pretty darn well!

GM Wolf |

Bonuses of Boons! Swag that I forgot to give to Players!
Let me know what Boons you got.
I have a list of things that you can gain, but first here is the list of things that allow you to gain a boon. If you did not get your boons let me know.
Post Every day (1 boon)
Create a race (1)
Reroll because I told you too (1)
10 RP or less (1) or Basic Race (2)
Culture for Race (1)
Created Traits not just for your character (1)

Balthe Synder |

none here, unless you count the pistol
I think I qualify for postin and basic race

CL4P-TP |

Well crap, I tnink I just about qualify for all of those SP
I post every day
I created the claptraps
I re-rolled a 80pb and got a 20pb
CL4P-TPs are a 9pb race
I created some culture for the CL4P-TPs, doubt enough to qualify
I created a good 3-4 traits
Ya... I don't need 6 boons :P what do you think?

Ida |

Regarding boons, I wasn't here for any of the creation stuff when that was going on, nor did I need to reroll. A boon isn't terribly important for me, though, so I'll be fine without it.

Swiftstab |

Boons... I believe I posted pretty much every day. I dont know if goblin counts as basic race, but it is worth less then 10 RP. I wrote some things about my tribes customs, but I doubt that is enough to qualify for "culture for race", especially since it is limited to a specific tribe on a backwater planet that is of no importance to the game, other then my own background. Still, 2 boons is nice (or 3 if goblin is counted as a basic race)
On a different note:
I and Balthe have been having a bit of a rules discussion that involves part of my characters attack routine.
I am under the impression that it should be possible to combine Flurry of Blows with Fighting with two weapons.
A single attack would be with Attack bonus X
A flurry would be with X-2 / X-2
an attack with a light off-hand weapon during a normal full attack and with the TWF feat would be X-2 / X-2
So I reasoned that a combination would make X-4 / X-4 / X-4 since both options claim that all (other) attacks that round are made with a -2 penalty.
Balthe however claims the two options should not be executable in conjunction with each other, and with him several others, but an official ruling was never made on the subject. Therefore I now lay it in front of DM and party members to make a verdict.
My arguments:
The TWF feat does NOT give you an extra attack, it merely lowers the penalties.
Fighting with two weapons DOES give you an extra attack
Fighting with two weapons can only be done DURING the FULL ATTACK ACTION
Flurry DOES give you an extra attack
Flurry can only be done AS a FULL ATTACK ACTION (not 'as if' or 'instead of', important difference)
Flurry can be done with ONE or MULTIPLE weapons, so it is possible to hit twice with the right fist.
This would mean that after you used your flurry, you still could strike with the left fist, as the flurry counts as a full attack action, but are required to take the apropriate penalties (-6/-6/-10 without the feat and with a one-handed weapon; -2/-2/-2 with the feat and using a light weapon (on top of the -2 on all attack that flurry imposes)).
Flurry uses the penalties AS IF using TWF feats. It doesnt actually grant you the feat, but merely uses its penalty progression for the flurry
As was stated before: The Feat does NOT give you extra attack; the fighting with two weapons option DOES give you an extra attack and the feats just lower the penalties.

Balthe Synder |

my side was if you do a search on the forums the OVERWHELMING reply is not they do not stack, if it did why wouldn't all monks take it? There would be no reason not to.
anyhow however we want to play it I am fine with I just wanted to deal with it before it became impt.

Swiftstab |

Funny thing about the overwhelming reply, is that none seem to be showing any hard evidence. It never got officially reffed as far as I know and everyone keeps quoting the rest of the mob. Swiftstab refuses to accept "just because".
To a monk, using TWF means 1,5X as many attacks, true, but attack bonus of all goes down a bit
To a fighter, using TWF means 2X as many attacks, yet that does not seem strange to anyone.

Balthe Synder |

there is a post by jason back at the beginning of where he said he does not think it would.
I encourage you to read the links I sent you. One of them has someone who made your argument and by the end even he seemed to change his mind.
also you can find places where the devs have said the answers to things are on the forums and no reply required.
anyhow I thought we agreed to let the group and DM decide and not argue? You have stated your case. As I told you in pm I do not want to fight, I simply said I think that they do not stack, just like you told me you didn't understand how I got my dex and how you told jack you didn't understand his damage. Lets just let the group make their decision.

Balthe Synder |

also to answer your question
a fighter gets no extra attacks either he gets a minus to the penalty when using the feat A wizard can twf if he wants as well and use the feat to the same effect
a monk gets flurry which allows him to function as if he has twf and at higher levels I believe he gets more attacks, but he ALSO gets a BAB boost when using it so when he flurries he has a bab equal to a fighter. So at level one on a full attack w twf a monk has MORE attacks than a fighter with the SAME penalty.

Ida |

If I might interject with my own personal reading.
First, the necessary text.
When doing so, he may make one additional attack, taking a –2 penalty on all of his attack rolls, as if using the Two-Weapon Fighting feat. These attacks can be any combination of unarmed strikes and attacks with a monk special weapon (he does not need to use two weapons to utilize this ability).
The part that I've bolded is the major point of contention. Now, my question is, Swiftstab, does "as if" ever stop meaning you count it as TWF? The way I read it is that you make your attacks, specifically as if using TWF. To my knowledge, it's impossible to combine Two-Weapon fighting with itself, and so would be inapplicable in such a situation.
Basically, my reading comes down to: "as if" doesn't stop applying just because you make the attacks with one weapon.
Edit: Or rather, it doesn't stop applying just because you don't have to make the attacks with two weapons. I've just woken up, sick, so my mind isn't all here yet.

CL4P-TP |

You are wrong about one thing, and it makes a big difference.
Fighting with two weapons DOES give you an extra attack
Anyone can twf and gain 2 attacks regardless of whether they have the feat or not. The feat only reduces the penalty. Imp/greater twf DOES grant you extra attacks but that is irrelevant here. Also considering that they both use the same wording, I am inclined to say no, I don't really have the rules to back it up, sorry :)

Jack Iwamatsu |

Errr... read the line just above the line you quoted. He said basically what you did clap-trap.
I am not sure how to run this myself, I wouldn't mine stacking the both of them as you do take -4 on all your attacks basically. I won't get into this one though I'll leave it to GM decision.

Balthe Synder |

so how many people do I need to divide by and are we doing 1 dollar equlas 1 gp?

Ida |

HD 2: 1d8 ⇒ 6
Didn't realize it needed to be rolled, as I was under the impression that it was maxed.

CL4P-TP |

I was under the impression it was max as well. You sure it isn't?
second hd: 1d8 ⇒ 8
Yay ^-^

GM Wolf |

1 dollar is 1 dollar
10 gp = 1 pp
1 gp = 1 gp = 10 sp = 10 cp
1 Eridium bar = 1 Eridium Bar
There is no fixed transfer from gold to dollar or Eridium.
Some places will give you a better rate of exchange than others.
Though on average 1 dollar = 1 gp. And 1 Eridium bar = $100.
I would suggest if you want to split it now, do it in two different groups of Dollars and coins.
York, Jack, Elo, Ida, Balthe, Five, Troas, Swiftstab, Johnny, 1/2 Health, 1/2 bribes. So divide it by 10.

Swiftstab |

I was searching if their were any post more discriptive of the badit truck, to get a more accurate image of the thing, but kinda failed.
In my head it looks a bit like this

Jack Iwamatsu |

Going to be busy over the weekend so not going to post till monday. Get me to hit something if that ends up coming up.

York |

I am noticing the pace at which this game is moving, and having difficulty keeping up. I got up this morning to 44 new posts in the gameplay section. I can usually read through an average number of posts and post each day in each of the games in which I play, but this game may just be moving at too swift a clip for me to reasonably keep up with. That being said, I think it might be wiser for me to bow out of this campaign instead of continuing to slow things down.
I've enjoyed the campaign so far, the wit and the banter, but I think this is the right call as the amount of time I have to dedicate to any one game is not likely to change soon.
Thanks for having me till now. See you all around in the forums.

GM Wolf |

That could work Swiftstab, though I was thinking more like This truck
Thank you for being honest to yourself and us, York. Best of luck to you!
First I was hoping individuals would claim items according to what boons they had, if we run out of Eridian artifacts and someone chooses one as their boon, then another is found. But if the loot runs out it runs out.
Has anyone not collected their boons yet from the loot?
The Eridian artifacts literally communicate with the wielder what they do, kinda like a quick psychic bond.
It looks like Five is the only one who could identify the magic items and no one has asked until now to identify them.
Considering the holiday and the weekend, hopefully we can get through the loot and Radiator Ridge by the end of it. Then be on the way if not in the next town for Monday.

Balthe Synder |

Got ya.
Then Balthe claimed one of the magic items, which was his bandoleer. Shall we just assume that York snags one on his way out the door?
All, Balthe picked up the MW Shortsword, 12 bullets, an artifact, and a magic item. And money of course.
Balthe is not bothering Five while he works on his pistol/crossbow
