Raphael Anaviel |

"Don't worry, with faith, heart and steel we will be able to defeat him. But first, we will find your book. Everybody, get ready."
When everyone is ready, Raphael will cast:
-Magic Circle Against Evil on himself
-Chain Of Perdition (he don't use it to attack, yet)
-Blessing of Fervor
These effects are not cumulative with similar effects, such as those provided by haste or a speed weapon, nor do they actually grant an extra action, so you can't use it to cast a second spell or otherwise take an extra action in the round. Blessing of fervor does not stack with haste.
Finally, he signals everybody to be ready and casts Glitterdust, using the cast as still spell bonus from Blessing of Fervor (and with his own Silent spell feat, he doesn't show to be casting) in the place in the room where more enemies are (or where I draw the circle - Will DC 21 negates blindness only).

drbuzzard |

You catch two of the figures that are moving books around, but that's all. They are humanoid in shape.
Initiative time.
critter init: 1d20 + 28 ⇒ (18) + 28 = 46 No, that is not a typo
I need people placed on the map where they would be, if you are all actually standing outside in the hall, you could not have had the conversations you've done above (except Raphael).
will saves2d20 ⇒ (11, 6) = 17

Sazzat Tamm |

Is Lucian far enough into the room that he isn't caught by the glitterdust?[
Can someone place me next to Ralph on the map, I can't edit a google doc from where I am
While Raphael is chanting and gesturing to cast his spells, Sazzat Tamm pops a wand out of each spring loaded sheath on his wrists and casts shield and mirror image on himself.
UMD for shield: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (15) + 17 = 32 +4 AC from shield bonus
UMD for mirror image: 1d20 + 17 ⇒ (10) + 17 = 27 making 1d4: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 images
Then he's ready.
initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10

Raphael Anaviel |

In fact, Raphael, deaf, do not chant to cast. He only makes praying movements and concentrate. And in some cases (Blessing of Fervor bonus or Still Spell feat) not even that.
Drbuzzard: Both Raphael and Mu'aqquibat The Protector have scent, so if an enemy is next to them they should be able to pinpoint them. Can you mark them for me?
We got a Surprise round, right?
Raphael Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Mu'aqquibat The Protector Initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (16) + 3 = 19

drbuzzard |

No, you don't get a surprise round. These are not idiots, as they have been watching you prepare and can see you give a signal. They were not going to initiate combat, but they will join in once attacked.
You had your (just you) surprise round in the glitterdust. That's it.
Yes, there are no enemies next to either of you. I won't mark them until they are next to you.

Raphael Anaviel |

I thought maybe we were going to get lucky... oh well.

Laurel Treekeeper |

"You got two of them! Should I try the rest?"
Can you place the floating books in the room? I assumed from previous descriptions there was at least one creature per book.

So... Mu'aqquibat The Protector was hit? I saw three damage rolls, but an "All miss" after them.
If she was hit, one hit was for 8 damage, and the critical one for 27, so with her DR 9/Evil she only gets 18 damage?

Yes, the eidolon was hit, and critted once. They get two sets of attacks and I'm lazy so I copy and paste.
It misses the first attack, lands the second, and aims for the wrong area on the third. Target is still moving.
Raphael wraps up another one in funcy glowy chains.
Laurel manages to zap the crap out of the of the invisible stalkers.
Lucian moves over and attacks it as well, landing a solid blow, but only one. Did you only 5' step, I don't recall where you were? If so, shouldn't you have more attacks? If not, how did you have 2 attacks?
