Subjective Gravity Rules:
In most parts of the Plane of Air, each individual chooses the direction of gravity’s pull. When walking on solid surfaces, choosing the direction of the surface to be “down” is relatively intuitive and does not require a skill check. In midair, creatures with natural ight can fly normally. Those without the ability to fly, or those who would prefer to move faster, can attempt to set the direction of gravity.
Once per round as a free action, an individual can attempt a DC 16 Wisdom check to pick a new direction for gravity. If she succeeds, she begins falling in that direction, moving 150 feet in a straight line on the first round and 300 feet on each succeeding round. If she fails, she can attempt the Wisdom check again the following round. The DC decreases to 12 until she succeeds. Once an individual starts falling in a direction, stopping requires a successful DC 16 Wisdom check to set gravity in the exact opposite direction. If she succeeds, she continues falling 150 feet in her original direction for 1 round, then stops.
Because an individual in free fall cannot stop quickly, performing actions during the fall is difficult. However, the PCs may ready actions and perform them during the free fall, such as readying an action to grab an object or to attack a creature while soaring past it. Moving past an opponent in this manner provokes at attack of opportunity.
A PC under the e ects of a feather fall spell falls at only 60 feet per round and gains a +2 circumstance bonus on the Wisdom checks to change direction.

So, the forums are up for now.

However,given recent events I cannot guarantee they will continue to be consistently fixed. Therefore, in order to keep this adventure moving, I am proposing to set up a Google Hangout as a backup, so that that way we can conitnue to post and play even if the Paizo golem takes some more sick days.

To that end, please PM me your email addresses (or email them to me at wdonald@wesleyan.edu). I'll set up a hangout we can all work in if needed (though fingers crossed it won't be). Worst case, I then have the addresses to easily email you your chronicles later anyway.

So a lot of info just went up and this encounter/challenge is a bit complicated. Essentially, the first map is showing your relative-ish positions. If you approach an obstacle (the closest, the rocks, being still around 500 feet away, we can use the more detailed maps on the second slide.

A heads up that I will be heading out on a week's family vacation from this Saturday 29 Sep and returning the following Sunday 7 Oct. I may have some limited and irregular access to internet during this time but my posting may become spotty at best. I'm kind of holding off on taking any more actions, as it appears that Jamila has already taken two, but others haven't taken any.

Is there anything we need to do to pick up the pace? Jamila's PC is scheduled in a game in Gameday Session 2, and that table is getting antsy to start.

Was hoping to resist botting crazy excessively at the end (especially given amount I ended up doing in last fight too), but with your spell and Krakos' assist you have succeeded in sealing the rift! All the 'mechanical' parts of the adventure is done, and you are officially cleared to go on! (though a post/two of RP at the end would be fine :P)

Chronicles should be up in the exact smae link as the Pregens above. Let me know if anything is amiss. Ember: yours is not there because you actually have a day job. If no reply by tomorrow night, I will assume taking 10.

You also all got both Prestige, though each of your secondary conditions was different. If curious:

Ember:
Embermust compose a suitably impressive version of the party's tale, succeeding at at least three Oratory checks after their encounters.

Jamila:
As the sneior agent in the field, Jamila must ensure that the team permanently closes the rift at the end of the scenario.

Krakos:
Krakos must plant divination sensors in at least two dfferent locations - without anyone discovering his intentions

Octaris:
Octaris must prove his 'arcane talents' by succeeding on at least two Use Magic Device checks to overcome challenges and establish his 'wizardly might'

Zephyr:
Zephyr succeeds at his mission if the PCs discover the connection between the tower and the elemental lord Ranginori.

Finally, thank each of you for sticking with me. This is a pretty darn out there and complicated scenario, and the forum outages certainly didn't help. Sorry if it lingered past when it was expected to end, but I hope you ultimately had a good time. Happy gaming! And maybe I'll see you around!
