It then begins to fritz! Random: 1d3 ⇒ 2 The form shifts, changes, and reforms into some kind of proto-monster, something from the First World!

'What in the hive is going on!' exclaims the host. 'OH! Right...we're in a computer. HA! This is neat!'

Maintaining the inky texture coating its body, Xochitl pauses a moment to concentrate. The black film seems the thicken even more, hardening over its exoskeleton.

A loud shriek of audio feedback erupts from all communication devices across the Starfinder Society fleet and deployed teams. The feedback precedes an alert of a new threat: dozens of unknown starships are entering the Scoured Stars through the Drift!

Data screens across the fleet begin displaying a live feed of a chitinous, six-legged creature with a large mouth full of sharp teeth. Rings of glowing, unblinking eyes cover the upper and lower sides of the creature’s body, looking in every direction at once. The creature’s three-clawed forelimbs hold what looks like an alien plasma cannon, while its second set of limbs terminate in cybernetic augmentations resembling long sabers.

When the creature starts speaking, its words sound like a chaotic jumble of consonants, but soon the syllables turn into a sinister-sounding, digitalized voice speaking in the Common tongue: “We are jinsuls, and you are not welcome in our space. This is our ancestral home. You do not belong here. You will be removed.”

As soon as the ominous message ends, First Seeker Luwazi Elsebo speaks to the Society through the comm system: “According to our sensors, these creatures—jinsuls—are entering the Scoured Stars through a location near Bastiar-7. I need a group of volunteers, our best starship crews, to scout the area and keep these aggressors occupied. Meanwhile, I want everyone else to continue evacuating the survivors. Time is a luxury we don’t have, so make haste and be ready to be extracted at a moment’s notice!”

Table GM’s- You are now set to start Part 3, but remember Part 2 Evacuation Missions that are still open can still be accomplished. All Part 1 Recon Missions are now closed.

Apologies 0689. We're good here given the announcement!

0689 finishes the job. The progam begins to glitch with a frantic change in form. In a moment, it ceases to be. The other Starfinders come out of their frozen state. You immediately disconnect, as you've got plenty of mission left.

Shortly after, the Starfinders wake up inside their the stasis chambers. All but Historia-6 rush over to you with appreciation. Historia-6 quickly disconnects from the pod and hurries, however, to reconnect with Historia-7 never stopping to talk to you.

Before you can talk about it, a shout from the tech team draws your attention. "We're under attack! Get over here!"

About 12 seconds later a trio of completely alien aliens turn the corner. The size of humans, they look nothing like men. It's obvious from their weapons that they mean you harm. These must be the Jinsuls!

Not sure if life science is applicable here, but worth a shot. If the check is related to xenobiology, the DC is 5 lower due to my theme knowledge.

Life Science: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28

Medrick steps forward and pulls out his arc pistol. I am assuming that Medrick switched out his mostly used battery for a fresh one between the fights. He then takes aim at the red alien and takes a shot, hoping to avoid his allies.

Arc Pistol (Red, EAC): 1d20 + 7 - 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 7 - 4 + 1 = 8 plus flat-footed?
damage (shock, nonlethal): 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Move acrion to move 5ft and draw my weapon. Standard to shoot red.

Does the virtual fight actually affect our physical equipment? E.g. batteries.

| The Death of Kortos IV | Fly Free or Die | | Ship Roles |

Batteries and whatnot are not affected. Damage was real though.

If xenobiology would cover anything, this would be it. I'll allow it. Based on the roll and their physiology, ask me 3 questions.

Medrick makes an analysis, but it affects his aim with his focus off.

She quickly fires her concealed arc-pistol - with it set to "extra crispy".

Medrick can tell that these things don't have any particular resistances to anything, nor that there are any particular weaknesses.

Gunnz drives home the point by killing the injured jinsul!

Xochtl continues to build a connection with the universe as melee becomes imminent.

Hawthorne: I should give you +1 to your ranged attack vs flamethrower. I think I grant the enemy cover vs everyone else so they wouldn't benefit from my feat.
