16 is not enough for a feather token.

Lashed-together wooden poles form a makeshift staircase crudely bolted and fixed to the side of the stone shelf. The stairs lead upward to a platform that sits thirty feet above the ground. The stone shelf upon which the fort sits is a purely natural feature, despite its odd appearance. It is deceptively difficult to climb. The stairs look rickety, but are actually reasonably stable, and can easily support the weight of several Medium or smaller creatures.

Zeldana and Selkin quickly notice Leeza’s most recent ingenious trap. Leeza was terribly frostbitten by brown mold as a youth, and keeps samples of this fungus to cultivate for use in her traps. When step on a series of boards, the boards that make up the stairs shift, pulling a hidden rope taut and causing jars of brown mold that are concealed in the building above to launch into the air. The jars are secured to the building by ropes, causing them to swing back down and smash on the wall above the trap’s trigger, covering that square in dangerous brown mold. Luckily Zeldana and Selkin are able to stop everyone just in time.

Well without anyone who can use disable device. Not sure how much we are aloud to do. I've got 3 ideas.

1) Climb up; but it's been stated it's a difficult climb.

2) Identify the "trapped" steps and avoid stepping on them if possible. Using acrobatics if needed.

3) Have one person manually cut the ropes. Then use prestidigitation to clean off the mold.

They all have there risks. What's everyone else think? Other ideas?

Good question.

Perhaps we should try to find another way upstairs. Either that or get to those jars and remove them. Maybe cutting the ropes is the easiest... Selkin was hoping someone had the ability to disable to thing but it seems no one with the skill is available.

Looking to Selkin, Seems like a difficult climb, if the bridge is not used. Still if they have it trapped they may have another way in too. Did anyone see any other tracks around?

Sirrah gives a rather oblivious look around the surrounding area to look for tracks, but he's not much of a tracker really.

Either that or the goblins know just the right places to step; and we are certainly smarter than goblins we should be able to figure it out as well.

He pulls out a set of thieves' tools. "Never know when a set of these will come in handy. Not for stealing, of course, but for other things. Anyway, they aren't really mine, I'm just holding them for a friend."

Should have know our good halfling cleric would have it covered! Missed it when I looked.

After carefully studying the clever trap Levin takes his time in securing the ropes and angling branches to soften the jars and stopping them from breaking.

This is an insanely deadly trap as if it isn't dealt with Goblins hear it and show up within one round throwing Alchemist's fire into the brown mold. Could very easily turn into an instant TPK.

With the trap now dealt with the group now is able to make it to the front gate. A piecemeal steel and iron fence runs between two wooden buildings. A seven-foot-tall wooden gate constructed from fragments of tower shields blocks a crudely cut hole in the fence, while wooden stairs lead down the side of the rock face. This gate is fastened from the inside with a stout wooden beam.

Sirrah attempts to peer through gaps in the piecemeal construction, seeing if any goblin guards lurk just on the other side.

The tailor's eyes narrow slightly at the halfling producing thief's tools. The Daemon's blade hungered for the blood of wrong-doers, even ones who worshipped Desna. More than a few Sczarni claimed to worship the Song in Spheres.

Jean and the rest look for a way around the gate and find little. Jean also quickly finds that it is a bit more difficult to climb the gate than originally thought as he has difficulty finding a decent handhold. Climbing the fence is a DC 15 Climb check or breaking through the beam is (hardness 5, hp 20, break DC 23).

Sirrah, Selkin and Chankotu are able to make it over the gate right away as Levin seems to struggle quite a bit from the other side.

This small practice yard is surrounded by a crudely made metal fence and several small wooden buildings. Mud and morass cover the ground, and the sickly sweet stench of decay hangs heavy in the air. A rusting metal gate blocks the entrance to a cave to the northwest, while a second gate leads to the southeast. In the center of the yard, a stubby rectangular building sits upon a roughly hewn stone foundation. A crude depiction of a three-eyed face decorates its door.

Sirrah, Selkin and Chankotu find a stout wooden beam blocking the door. Though before they have a chance to remove it as their feet touch the ground they come face to face with an entire yard full of goblins that stare blankly at them picking their noses.

Seeing the intruders a mother hound that is chained nearby begins snapping and snarling as she breaks her chain running for Chankotu.

I'm assuming this happens in the same 'round' that the first three make it over (and I fail my first Climb). In that case, my first turn is spent making the next two Climb checks and failing-- meaning I'll make it over in round 2.

Leeza's aim is much better as the arrow slams into Selkin's leg. The arrow catches the cleric off guard as his leg spurts a small amount of blood and doesn't seem to stop bleeding.

Leeza grows excited as she quickly chatters to her other goblins and points at Selkin laughing. In her excitement she drops her shortbow and rushes around the fire. Realizing she dropped her bow she draws a wicked looking shortsword instead.

Selkin moves back out of the gate and draws his wand of cure light wounds. Sirrah dives in and stabs his rapier into the goblin dog's chest.

Zeldana levels hercrossbow at the green goblin who yelps as it swings the door open. Zeldana's bolt sticks into the wooden door and the goblin reshuts it sticking his tongue out at Zeldana.

Chankotu follows along with Sirrah and pokes his own rapier through the yellow goblin's leg. It cries out in pain smacking its little fists into Chankotu's chest.
