The only girl who can play two tables of skull and shackles and act as if she has no idea what'll happen next :-)

Athera Dayne |

Actually I'm use to that! My RL group had a huge problem with dropping campaigns half way through and then being apart so long that we couldn't remember where we where.
After about three years of that you learn to keep player knowledge and character knowledge separate. Our worst one was Wrath of the Righteous... which I still have yet to finish but I've done the first book three time... -_-

LOL.

Athera Dayne |

Don't laugh! XD It's horrible. Though I did pick up the skill I have that is being spoke of.
Of course the group feel apart for good when the GM moved to Texas, so I hit the boards. I think in all my time with my RL group I finished one campaign. The first one I ever played, with them. Council of Thieves. Got really close in Reign of Winter!

Dennith Blackbury |

Oh it totally isn't Skulls and Shackles we are playing any more. The Base story is there but even I don't know what is going to happen. I'm messing with stuff so hard!

Brydan Blackbury |

I've done a fair few campaigns with my RL groups but unfortunately all my Pathfinder groups have dried up. Partially from me dipping out on one of them (I was playing at a store and the guy was charging each player monthly for the use of his store and jumped the price up to 20 bucks a month).
I just shake my head at the whole thing. I need to find another good group to play with RL, it's more fun then boards but I do like how deep RP gets with the boards.

Dennith Blackbury |

I have played one IRL Pathfinder game in the last year and a half (And it ROCKED! It is our long running Savage Tide Campaign and it is jusst the best thing) but had been playing in a 5E Game while I was in NL. I miss the complexity of Pathfinder while playing 5E though.

Athera Dayne |

One thing I prefer the boards over RL is the is the ability to pick it up anywhere, so long as you have internet. Which is great if you have a shifting schedule and are unsure of which days you'll have off.

Ser Weyland Wylde |

I agree that the boards allow for deeper RP but Table Top is more fun because there is a feeling being together that you cannot simulate here.
I run 3.5 Table Top. I have finished 2 Campaigns a story set in Faerun that started at 1st and ended at 37th level (took about 7 years) and the Age of Worms (took abotu 5 years) with a ton of fillers that brought the characters to 25th level. Right now I run a campaign set in Waterdeep that will end next year with the characters at about 17th or 18th level.

Storyteller Shadow |

Hey guys sorry for the delay. I will have something up tomorrow evening. How was everyone's (who lives in the Us) Thanksgiving
Good! I binged on the boards. Need to go back to the gym this week now that my back feels better :-)

Brydan Blackbury |

Personally, I abuse my body with food and my body responds well by making me pay for it. However, I seem to not gain weight from it...which I'm thankful for as I've not been working out like I should but I hope to be back to it as far as working out this spring. (Winter is terrible for me >.<)
On a plus side, I'll also have my service dog (I got a Great Dane! So excited bout that part) so I'll be doing some walking for her benefit too.

Great Jing! I remember talking to you about that a few years back, glad to hear it! What kind did you get?

Brydan Blackbury |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

A mobility service dog with training in PTSD and retrieval. She'll be trained to help me get up if I fall, steady me if I stumble, secure the area to make me feel safe and typically place herself between me and anyone I don't flag and pick up stuff I drop to help out with my lower back and leg issue.
So all in all, she should be able to handle all my big issues.

Dennith Blackbury |

Eldin is the fourth son of House Gardener, doomed never to inherit and basically outcast from his home, he and Dennith fought together during the Rebellion. Dennith saved his life and Eldin and Dennith became best friends. He lives in the keep and acts as a right hand for Eldin during battle. Eldin has been disinherited but still carries the weight of his name, the only boon his father would allow him.
(Not sure if House Gardener are still around but...)
3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4) = 12 12 Gold Dragons

Athera Dayne |

House Gardener is extinct, though many families in the Reach claim to descend from said House. One of the families being the Tyrells. Pretty much half of the houses who can date their house back before the Targarian Conquest, claim they have Gardener blood.

Dennith Blackbury |

I assumed as much. House Bludvine will do for a name. They claim to be the closest decedents. It isn't true but it has bred a bitter bitter minor family.

Dennith Blackbury |

And done. Changed a few things. He is in a Spoiler at the bottom of my profile. And a pic on the tag line.

Dennith Blackbury |

His face suits the character, bitter and blonde. :P
Plus Eomer is an ass, like Eldin.

Athera Dayne |

A hot, brooding, ass!
Though I can't really speak to Eldin's nature... wait maybe I can how long has he been with us? XD

Dennith Blackbury |

Not as long as you or Weyland but just after the Rebellion. Eldin and Dennith saw combat together during the rebellion.

Dennith Blackbury |

He is arrogant and cocky, he believes he is better than he is and loves to lord it over people of lesser status than him. He is however courageous and can be kind, if the mood strikes him. He is searching for a marriage that would bring him power, but secretly wants love.
He is a terrible liar as he is quick to anger and wears his emotions openly.

Athera Dayne |

Oh gods he must hate Athera! XD
She'd quickly shut down his arrogance and turn it back against him. However she does give credit where credit is due. So anything courageous or kind she saw him do she'd praise him for it... So many mixed signals! XD

Athera Dayne |

I'm just letting you all know, a very very good friend of mine passed away this morning. So the next couple days I may be slow to reply, and that is why. Or it may pick up because I want to get my mind off of it... Either way, I wanted you to know and when they settle on a date for his funeral, I will be heading down to Texas for it so I will let you when that is.

Athera Dayne |

Hey all, I was just wondering... would you all be opposed to have another player join us? They're new to the boards and to this game system but I really think they'd enjoy it and you'd like them. They're a friend I met through... the one that just passed away. The boards have been offering me a great distractions lately and I'd like to pass that on to them as well. I figured this would be the best game to get them into since, well unlike a pathfinder game which is balance for 4-6 players, this game just gets more interesting the more player you have.

Ser Weyland Wylde |

Ok for me. :-)

Dennith Blackbury |

As Marcus did not say he was against it it seems we are unanimous, pending Xans final stamp. What kind of character would your friend make Athera?

Athera Dayne |

Leaning towards a spy it will seem, what kind I do not know... yet. They had to go do their finals so we'll be working on that once they return.

Dennith Blackbury |

A Spy would be of much use, yes. I will finally have the proof I need to prove you are all working against me!
O_o
I'm watching you all!

Athera Dayne |

Oh Athera isn't working against you per-say... she just wants to marry you...
>>
<<
>_<
Did I say that out loud?

Dennith Blackbury |

Well of course you do, Dennith is incredibly handsome and amazing at all things. Truly he is our new God. We must praise him for his awesome shinyness!

Athera Dayne |

Handsome, yes. Amazing at all things... Athera may beg to differ. XD
Just a bit.... little bit! XP

Dennith Blackbury |

Ha HA! He just APPEARS incompetent at certain tasks because he is amazing AT BEING MODEST!

Athera Dayne |

He's going to go after Lord Peake's men... without knowing the full story... nor asking how Lord Oakheart even knows about this and whom told him?

Dennith Blackbury |

... there is another way of doing things apart from bull headed arrogance?

Athera Dayne |

Hint the fact Athera would beg to differ! XD
To Athera, Dennith is a good man... who needs a woman to handle him when he starts raging like a bull and running through the walls. Doesn't mean he doesn't have a good heart! XD

Dennith Blackbury |

He isn't actively going to war right now, he is instead taking a security force with him while he gets to the bottom of this matter. He fully intends to find out what is going on.
Eh I don't think Marriage would make him relax. Maybe a touch but he will always be big and brash.

Athera Dayne |

No I know that, I'm not saying he's running head first into war.
Oh I wasn't talking about making him relax, more like steering a raging bull so it knocks down the right walls.

Athera Dayne |

Her, and you can keep going. It isn't like we cannot make an opportunity to toss them into the story! It's Game of Thrones for gods sake! XD
She is learning a whole new system after all.

Dennith Blackbury |

Woo! One more female character and Dennith has his Angels. Brydan is Bosley, if Bosley was Sterling Archer.
If we do get a third female character we need a Cheryl type character. "YOU'RE NOT MY SUPERVISOR!"
I have had VERY little sleep. Happy Friday ladies and gents!
