Yes, that is true. He did need more planning. And a drunkard can be effective. Tryon and Cercei for example.

Ser Weyland Wylde |

I will post tomorrow night. Still behind from being sick for a few weeks.

Brydan Blackbury |

Hazzah, I hope everyone is slowly coming back. I know we've had a few people with issues as far as the net and such so I hope things are clearing up and everyone is getting ready for the murder bowl..I mean the dance party.

Dennith Blackbury |

Jesus things are getting hairy on my end. How does it look for you all? ;)

Dennith Blackbury |

Oh I am eagerly waiting for the gloves to hit the mat.
MAKE MY COFFIN OUT OF SKUUUULLLSSSS!!
Heh I think we can pull through with the characters we have IF all of us are pulling together to make our house strong.

Israa Sand |

~ Cough!Hack!Cleanses hands with large amounts of Purell before patting Brydan On the shoulder.~
Thank you kindly for the Nudge! Sorry all for the delay!Stuffy sinuses and Organic chemistry fun times does not make.
....Is it Possible to make a Coffin out of the tears of your enemies?

Brydan Blackbury |

Perhaps if they were used to water the trees your particular coffin is made out of?
Also, the wife has already given me the gift of the URI so I'm right in the same boat.

Dennith Blackbury |

With all this talk of Dornish wine and poison I'm starting to get nervous. Heirs don't last long around you types...

Athera Dayne |

No one has mentioned poison... yet.
Also Dennith you're not a heir, you're a Lord. Far too useful as of right now so you have nothing to worry about! ^_^

Athera Dayne |

So, re-watching the first season of game of thrones and something hit me, since the late Lord Blackbury left enough coin to cover this merry event what is the winner's purse? Then over how much does the second and third place get?

Athera Dayne |

Eveyone should still be alive, our GM has been ill and is getting over it so we should have him back some time soon.

Ser Weyland Wylde |

Yes alive indeed.

Athera Dayne |

So! Interesting bit here that kinda hit me last night while thinking this game over. Now this is mostly good for thought on Dennith and Brydan, but everyone else may find it interesting as well. So the Blackbury family is settled just on the other side of the mountains the form Dorne's boarder, and we know that the Reach and Dorne have had... Issues, for years. Knowing this, and the locations of both the Blackbury and Dayne houses, and that House Dayne has sacked Old Town twice... Would mean that each time House Dayne raided the Reach they had to go through House Blackbury's lands each and every time. One of those raids, in which House Dayne burned all the crop lands around Old Town, is still in resent enough memory that it would still be talked about but none who where there still live.
There is even a quote in the books of "I know Daynes have been killing Oakhearts for several thousand years". So the fact Athera came to an Oakheart's defense is... Kinda poetic no?

Athera Dayne |

Looking foreword to it GM!
Also you guys know you can reply or ask questions to things I type here right? I put stuff up to be talked about! I promise I won't bite! XD

Dennith Blackbury |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

I do like reading the stuff you post I just honestly know very little about the setting. I've read the books, watched all the shows but there is just so much backstory to it that I don't know anything about it. My brain is full of all of the Fluff for the Wheel of Time and Malazan Book of the Fallen. I can't add a third huge set of Fluff. Lol

Athera Dayne |

Yeah if you ever need lore. I can hunt it down. The older the lore the more difficult of course but for thing as big as the Blackfyre rebellions and things as such have a good amount around them if you can seek it out.

Dennith Blackbury |

Oh cool that is good to know. Thanks. Haha Same goes for you if we start playing a Malazan or Wheel of Time themed game. :-P

Ser Weyland Wylde |

I'll update tomorrow need to head to bed.

Athera Dayne |

I just wanted to let you all know that I am going down to Texas for my friend's memorial tomorrow. It's on the 20th but we're going down a day early and coming back the 21st. The hotel we're staying at does have wifi but I will not be on the 20th at all.

Dennith Blackbury |

That is exactly how I am going to play Gawain. A mix of Sleet (The Warder who Gawayn befriends later in the series) and Lan (though less broody).

GM Xan Nes |

That is exactly how I am going to play Gawain. A mix of Sleet (The Warder who Gawayn befriends later in the series) and Lan (though less broody).
I was hoping there was some third party versoin of the Warder for backstory reasons but the closest there is to it is the Witchguard ranger archetype :P

Ser Weyland Wylde |

I play an Ogier in a Wheel of Time game here on the boards. Fun :-)

Dennith Blackbury |

I have always felt that the Fighter is basically a Warder just without some magic items.
An Ogier? Awesome. I have played a couple games here of WoT but only ever played an Aiel warrior. I'll try play a Warder if I can but I love the Aiel. The way they are structured, their naming convention, the way they speak and act. I love it. And I always end up playing a character of one of specific society, the Stone Dogs.
