Athera Dayne |

After that Athera walked over and picked up Tempest, though she couldn't lift the shadow cat up in one go because she was too heavy. "I shall be getting ready for this ball, and I'm taking Tempest with me to play my body guard. Since my actual one has been take for a duel." She said before she looked back to the two, weapons drawn. "Good luck."
She looked to Brydan with small smile and wink before she walked off to her room.

Brydan listened to what the others had said and shook his head after it came to attention properly.
"Athera is right, please take the duel at least to the courtyard. Far easier to clean up any mess you might make. I'll find a page and make sure the Maester comes by soon to check in on you all. That is my one condition for you having a duel on my House's land...fair?" he said before not waiting for their answer and making his way towards the kitchen where he might find a bit of staff.
He quickly had the errand taken care of but instead of going back to the duel, he made his way towards his room.

He took only a short break in his room before he opened the window and slipped out of it to make his way along the ledge to Athera's window. He swung it open real quick and slipped himself inside and into a seat.
It took all of about twenty minutes from the time he left to make his way secretively into her room. He settled himself before announcing himself to her with merely a clearing of the throat. "You asked for me?" he asked in curiosity as to what she was upto.

Brydan Blackbury |

Brydan settled down and got comfortable. "It'd sadly bit a bit uncouth for me to bring the heiress of the House on one hand and an openly hostile House's daughter on the other hand. Otherwise I'd of course escort you as well. I'll do my best still to watch over you at the ball." he started, smiling softly.
"Sadly...they have no love for Dorn, while I am the target of assassination I would imagine that they would not be above attempting it with you as well, holding you hostage somehow, or attempting some other unsavory uncouth maneuver. To be honest, I would feel more at ease were you not to go but I understand your reasoning...and well, you're not a child anymore."
He paused a bit and smirked "Don't think that means I'm not gonna come save you, I've already stepped my foot in your life...best keeping it going as long as you can." he said laughing a bit.

Athera Dayne |

"I know you'll always be there for me Brydan. But look on the bright side, now there is Ser Eisel. You're no longer solely responsible for me." She told him as she stood from the bed and walked over to her wardrobe.

Brydan Blackbury |

Brydan raised a brow at her words. He knew full well she was trying to tease him, illicit some kind of response from him and he offered her a small irritated look in return.
However, she did manage to wipe it off his face and replace it with rolling his eyes at the latter bit of talk.
"Athera dear, no one is responsible for a Dornish woman apart from the Dornish woman...I merely stand by, watching and catching said woman when she decides to step into a pit. As for Ser Eisel, I think for most of the dangers of this world, he will be sorely distracted by the more physical dangers. Mind you, I doubt you'll be falling into another nest of snakes anytime soon so I don't see him being all that helpful." he said teasing her back a bit.
He stepped up to her wardrobe and leaned against the wall near it simply watching her and trying to judge her reactions.

Athera Dayne |

"Now, I need to get ready and I'm sure you've other things to do no?" Athera asked with a smile upon her lips still.

Brydan Blackbury |

Brydan tried to catch a glimspe of what she would be wearing but the sneaky wench was doing a good job of keeping him from seeing. He sighed a bit.
That was when she gave him the hint to leave and he shook his head and chuckled. "Far be it for me to not leave when a lady asks...though given the past, it hardly seems necessary. " he said shaking his head.
He gave a quick listen at the door, then a peek and seeing the coast clear left the room the less dramatic way.
He made his way to his room and finished getting ready before going back down in his fineries to see how the duel was progressing. He caught a servant along the way and made sure the maester was found and present for the aftermath just in case.

I don't know Lord, he says. I never really thought about it.
whoodewhoo
Ser Eisel and the Targaryen Prince simply nod and head outside for their duel as the rest of you get ready. They seem to not want to intrude on Brydan's flailing attempts at romance. There is a moment of quiet as the banter between Brydan and Athera stops before the sounds of steel clashing on steel begins. A number of strikes seem almost inhuman, and although you have each experienced duels before, without looking outside it is very clear that this is meant to test both men before they go out and hunt down bandits.
Apologies for the delay, college sucks. Let me know how you react to the sounds of the fight
