Kharia shakes her head as she serves the food. "It is unlikely that such spells would affect the typical undead. However, if some of your spells are protective in nature, then they will be of great assistance."
As a quick side not, I do need to compute XP for the group, and have that on the to-do list for today.
Caiden slowly ponders over his lunch. "I'm not excited to face the undead, but if we do so, I will likely need an additional weapon. I'm doubting that a longsword does much to slow down a skeleton, am I correct?"
Kharia nods. "Though I am much more inclined toward the use of a bow, a sling may be the better option today. Perhaps we could stop by Savah's Armory to better prepare?"
Caiden nods. Walthus pipes up, "I'll pick up a sling as well. Should be useful. As to the mounts being able to go there, well, they should be able to traverse the wilder parts well enough. Just lead them well, and we should be fine to at least get there, if not back again, too."

Zelaria sighs. 'Therein lies the danger of specialization,' she recognizes, having little else but her own protective magics to make use of in the trials ahead.
"If both are taking slings, I suppose I could be troubled to maintain one as well. For all my abilities with the staff," she chuckles and touches her quarterstaff, merely decorative in nature, "I do not think it exceedingly intelligent to throw myself at the mercy of dead men. I should only hope that my aim with sling shot will be good enough to assist, and not simply pose a detriment to you all."

Caiden chuckles. "You are hardly that, Zelaria, and I'm sure your aim will be just fine. Oog," he holds his head after the chuckle. "How long will it take to get there?" he asks Walthus.
Going to adjust some earlier data on the length of time it takes to get places. The swamp really is just down the road from Sandpoint, and not a full days travel to get to the edge of the swamp as I had first thought. My sense of scale was all off with the map at first.
Walthus thinks for a while, mentally computing your strides against his own, then spouts, "Maybe six to seven hours. Less, if I ride with one of you on the way there. Don't need my own pony in the swamp, so I'm not going to buy one now."
"Right then," Kharia chimes in. "If we are planning to leave today, we should do so quickly. You two will need to get your things and recover on the road." Caiden and Walthus groan in protest, but appear to acquiesce. "I will go back to the cathedral to prepare my armor and bow. Zelaria, you appear to be mostly ready for travel. Would you be able to go past the Armory whilst the three of us prepare? We can meet up again in front of the Dragon here to depart."

Zelaria |

"I am slight enough that you can follow me on my mule," Zelaria volunteers with a smile. She nods at Kharia's suggestion. "I'll fetch her and the slings and shot and meet you here."
In addition to the shot, Zelaria will purchase a pair of saddlebags, if available, to maintain her various gear off her person, and replace the days of trail rations and feed that she and her mount have already eaten.
((Slings x3, - 0 gp
Sling bullets x5 (50) - 5sp, 25 lbs
Saddlebags - 4gp, 8 lbs
Trail Rations x2 - 1gp, 2 lbs
Animal feed 2 days - 2cp))
Zelaria speaks to her mule about magical theory in Thassalonian as she leads it and her various purchases back to the the Rusty Dragon in a calming tone, and pets her muzzle and flank affectionately while they wait.
