what tier do we think this will be? I am flexible.

Hey all. I have a lvl 1 barbarian, lvl 2 Paladin, or 2 lvl 3's.. a stonelord or a slayer all available depending on what we need. Of course, I could always bring someone new, but I will leave that idea until we know what all else is coming.

It's looking entirely like level 1's and 2's so far, Qwerty.

i dotted in with the lvl 2 Hunter. should be fun.

A quick question, because I've seen this played a couple different ways depending on GM. My character (a kitsune) prefers to stay in human disguise most of the time. Should we roll for that, or just let it be assumed that no one knows she's a kitsune unless she transforms?

No need to roll as you will just get a +10 to your disguise to look human. If someone looks further into it or one of your fellow Pathfinders look further into it then roll.

Also be forewarned that this series can be quite deadly. Good potential for deaths.

There are a couple spots in 1-2 and 3-4 that are nasty. I have not done this in high tier so no clue there.

Be prepared for anything.

Since this is starting now, its obviously not going to be part of GD VI, but do you have any plans on reporting the following scenarios for boons, etc? Just curious.

What's the plan for handling combat, btw? Are we using an external site to make a grid/map or just winging it by post?

As for the gameday this one will obviously not make it in time as the Gameday starts August 25th. We should be done with Part 1 by then and may be able to fit Part 2 into the Gameday if we are close enough to the date. Though we might get 2 done by then. Will have to play it by ear.

As for combat I will post an editable map link at the top which will have map and tokens available.

Is the "nature's cataclysm" noted in the initiative order the guy holding the club? Wanna make sure I've got a grasp on what Vulpina sees.

Correct He is the indeed holding the club. Those with the colored borders are the hostiles.

Excellent, thank you. I'll give our Conjurer some time to post first, since his initiative is higher. I'm basically checking this thread 16 hours a day, 7 days a week, so I should be able to post about immediately afterwards.

Not a huge deal who is higher in initiative. If you are bold you can post your action. If a spell or something makes sense I will place you guys in the correct order based on your actions and to the benefit of the players. You obviously would be able to and would have communicated that at the table in a face to face game.

Question: as a Swashbuckler/Gunslinger, I have two Dodge abilities that I can choose to activate. In table play, that usually means the GM says "x is going to attack you," I proclaim my Dodging Finesse or whatever, and then the attack is rolled against my improved AC. Since that's not how PBP works, should I just announced that I dodged it in my next post?

I apologize for my spotty posting this week and weekend. I have been spending much needed time with my son and my wife, facilitated by several unexpected days off work. Kids.. they are only young once, and you have to make the best of it when you can!

LMAO @ Vixie. Thank yall for understanding. Actually, this weekend went really amazingly for several reasons, not least of which being that after 7 months of fighting the insurance company, we finally got authorization for my wife's next surgery! Other than that, we have just been enjoying the summer break and my time off work was exactly what we needed when we all needed it the most.

So hey I'm a little confused about something—you mentioned a trap door with a 7-foot drop, and then you mentioned stairs? Are these the same thing?

Yea, there is a trap door then far later it mentions stairs leading down the 7 foot drop. Weird that they didn't really have it in the description at all. Though it shouldn't change much.

Big shrug! Sometimes location descriptions and maps are hard to reconcile. Ah well.

Yea especially season 0 and 1. Though the stairs actually make it easier for the group instead of climbing / dropping the 7 feet while getting pummeled one at a time.

FYI, I'm gonna be out-of-town for a few days for my wife's birthday. Should still manage a post here and there but maybe not as quickly as I normally can since formatting from a phone is a pain!

Thank you all for your thoughts and well wishes. We knew a surgery was coming, but expected more than two days between getting the call and her laying on the table. It was literally "Be here the day after tomorrow or theres no telling how long it will take to get things set up again.."

So.. Surgery went well, she is doing better than I ever thought she would be doing at this point, and is moving quickly on the path to recovery and walking again!
