Armed with a simple torch, the Huntsmen proceed up the stairs and come into a larger stone room. A long stone table takes up the center of this large chamber, whose walls are decorated with ancient carvings that have been defaced and vandalized with crude graffiti in several languages. A headless humanoid corpse lies atop the bloodstained table.
A troll stands by the table, holding a strip of flesh in one hand and regarding the light from the stairs with suspicion. Beside him is a hideous creature, some horrible cross between a troll and a dog. DC 13 Kn Arcana to identify.
Both creatures roar in anger at your intrusion!

Augrym hurries into the room before the pair can react, though his spell is utterly ineffective, as the trollhound does not understand even a single word of his litany.

Yeah... not exactly. The trollhound attacked you, triggering an AoO, THEN Unrak moved in to provide flanking.
Augrym grievously wounds the animal as it rises, but still it comes. Unrak rushes in to finish the job with a swift killing stroke. Taranis sends Toth after the troll, who snaps at the tiger on the way in.

Wands use the spell trigger activation method, so casting a spell from a wand is usually a standard action that doesn't provoke attacks of opportunity.

The Huntsmen turn left and enter another stone chamber. Stacked boxes, barrels, crates, and bags fill this room from floor to ceiling and line the crude wooden shelves along the walls. Turning the corner, the Baron and his men come face-to-face with a massive two-headed troll! Unlike most hunched-over trolls, the immense figure stands fully upright at nearly 15 feet tall. He roars in anger at your intrusion!
