Right, but if we get caught isn't he disavowing us and we get killed? Naming it 'The King's Imperial Ass Kicker' or something sounds a little hard for him to deny. Or are we supposed to openly let everyone know we serve the King?
Something like Rebel is perfect. To our allies it means to rebel against the other empires and to our enemies they'll think we're literal rebels. And if we're caught the King can deny us politically without problem. He could even say we stole the ship.
Not hard pushing for rebel, just explaining my thought process and clarifying what kind of name we're supposed to be making.
And I'm totally cool with Resurgence, but Ray will complain about it the entire campaign. Which would be fun.

REPAIRING GENERAL SYSTEMS
Fixing the many, many minor leaks, bad valves, wonky data chips and of course the broken latte machine requires a time-intensive detailed study and many hand-crafted, highly artistic parts.
All this is paid for by your retirement savings (in the form of ship shares) and performed by the excellent mechanics of the Royal Dockyards.
The cost for all General Systems would be 5 Technical RU (costing 5 ship shares) and 25 Cosmetic RU (probably 4 more ships shares). So you'll have to settle for just doing some of the repairs.
Let's start with fixing 60% of the General Systems. That would cost 3 Technical RU and 15 Cosmetic RU. Spending 3 ship shares on the Technical RU, you then spend another 2 ship shares to get 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 6) = 17 Cosmetic RU, leaving you with 2 Cosmetic RU to spare. These repairs take two weeks of fine detailed work and leave you with 3 ship shares.
Deciding to fix another 20% of the General Systems issues, you spend 1 ship share on 1 Technical RU and 1 ship share on 2d6 ⇒ (3, 6) = 9 Cosmetic RU.
You now have 1 ship share and 6 Cosmetic RU left. That's enough to complete all General Systems repairs in a beautiful and Drinax-worthy matter!
______________________________________________
So, after nearly four weeks of painstaking detail and repair, your Jump Engines and General Systems are in excellent repair and you are completely out of ship shares and have 1 Cosmetic Resource Unit left.
Problems persist with your Hull, Ventral Hardpoint, Maneuver Drive and General Cosmetics (bridge, crew area, lower deck and outer hull).
Time to go to space.
I'm going to let you folks drive the story for awhile. Go to gameplay and tell me what you do.

I'm back. I'm fine with Jerry being the captain. I thought I'd be the pilot, but Astrogation is awesome if Byron wants to pilot the ship.
Now for Names of Ships? Let me think. I like the HMS Nemesis.
I also like the Resurgence.

Do we have a gazetteer (or equivalent) for the systems in the Trojan Reach? Or not much more than the Players Guide?
Well, there's THIS POST for a brief description of some of the worlds. Yeah, library data is available on all of them, so ask if you're interested.
But I'd also take a closer look at the "Finding Prey" section of the UPDATED PLAYER'S GUIDE (on p. 30). There, it talks about the trade routes between the Imperium and the Aslan Hierate. Taking a look at the map, you'll see that most trade must be between the Imperium at Fist (Trojan Reach 2918) and the Aslan worlds of Tyokh and Irioah (Trojan Reach 2226 and 2227), likely proceeding through the Drinax Main at Paal or Byrni. Some lesser amount of traffic will proceed from Fist into the Acrid Cluster, then Spinward to Arunisiir, then jump to Blue in the Torpol Cluster and then to Drinax and so on to Khusai.
Still other trade will move up and down the Sindalian Main between the Imperium and the Florian League. But that first route between Fist and Tyokh is easily the richest. It is also the most heavily guarded, but rumor has it that the Aslan convoy guards only go as far Coreward as Tech-World and Falcon, while the Imperium doesn't generally patrol Rimward of Acrid. So there is a small space in between with a relatively small number of armed ships.

Can we can get more information about that rumor before we go heading off into well guarded space?
I think the first order of business is getting a crew.

The Core rulebook lists a Mechanical Toolkit as TL 5 at a cost of Cr1000. It also says the "toolkits may be purchased at higher Tech
Levels" but doesn't indicate how/if the price increases with increased TL.
So what TL Mechanical toolkit was I able to buy in the bazaar, and how much did it cost?

So I was thinking I would be the main pilot because Steph had the ability to fly smaller boarding craft now and I do not. But in retrospect I was thinking this might not be great because I am a heavily armored marine already and I can pilot a small boarding craft, just not as well. So I thought I would ask if people thought it would make more sense for Steph and Byron to trade seats and Byron can start working on learning to fly a boarding vessel for when we launch the marines.

Stephanie "Steph" Allison |

Steph is still working on her shopping list.
She for sure wants VACC Suit TL 10. (That also works as armor, correct?)
A computer, and a com unit. Non sure on those TL levels yet.
She has no skills in melee weapons should she get one anyway?
I'm happy with putting some CR down for items the whole group can use. Does anyone have suggestions?

I can definitely see Byron (and Ray) storming enemy ships with the Marines.
So Steph pilots Nemesis?

Sorry for the delay. Finally spending my credits.
Question for you: my gun says a magazine costs Cr60, and my gun also fires darts, but there's no cost for how much each dart costs. Do I get one per magazine? Or are they tracked separately and have their own cost?
Ray is buying:
Vacc Suit, TL 12, Cr20,000
Cloth, TL 10, Cr500 (always dress in layers!)
Breather (always worn in the nose), TL 10, Cr2000
Geiger counter, TL 5, Cr250 (worn in a holster on her hip!)
Binoculars, TL 3, Cr75
Mobile Comm, TL 10, Computer/1, Cr500
Anti-Rad (one dose) Cr1000
Extra Magazines (11), Cr60
And a sturdy backpack! Is it free?
Extra Credits: 15
Note: If darts cost extra she'll adjust gear slightly so she can afford a bunch.
And yes, her gear selection clearly shows her paranoia...

That makes a lot of sense. I can't see Steph boarding the ships unless she has to. Steph got a lateral job opportunity.
