I have to do this in two lots. I will do Aristu, Piotr and Kern in roll one and then roll 2 is Alister and me. DC 30 for roll 1 and DC 20 for roll 2.

You search the upper floor and the spriggans within them.

You find that the leader had a magical crossbow (+1 striking crossbow) and a magical morningstar (+1 morningstar) as well as a suit of chainmail. Each of the lesser spriggans wore studded leather armor and bore a regular morningstar and crossbow.

The leader also has a magical bag (a Type I Bag of Holding) and inside that is yet more treasure! A beautiful longsword with the Varn family crest enameled on the pommel sits in the bag (+2 grievous longsword), a magical wand of spectral hand, a ring of wizardry (type I), a Staff of Illumination and a beautiful composite longbow (+2 thundering composite longsword) all fit in the bag along with 900 gp in assorted coins and jewelry, a small payroll coffer holding 80 gp, and an assortment of gems worth 500 gp.

Master of Dispatch's Quarters - These quarters are now a chaos of broken furniture and scattered parchments. This is Cephal Lorentus's chamber - he is Maegar Varn's wizard, birdkeeper, and master of dispatch. His small library has been utterly destroyed by the spriggans, and a search through the scattered parchments reveals only mundane
correspondence between the colony and Restov. There are a number of mentions of conf licts with the Nomen centaur tribe, but nothing to hint at what may have befallen the village. You also find some pages torn from Lorentus's spellbook. They include the spells paralyze, ghostly weapon, blindness, spider climb, expeditious excavation and humanoid form.

Maegar Varn's Room - The only hint that this room once housed the leader of Varnhold is the large map of the Nomen heights tacked to one wall. The map has been torn to shreds, and the other bedroom furnishings are either similarly ruined or else missing. The one thing you can glean from the ruined map is the location of the Nomen tribe camp (see map).

So as I understand it anyone can get a Treat Medicine check once per hour and with Ward Medic I do up to 4 people at a time. So I read that as one check for up to 4 people at once. That apparently may not be right.

Aristu, Piotr and Kern were all down alot so I risked the DC 30 for greater healing. I rolled a 34 assuming it was all or nothing for all 4 and then I believe I healed them for 39. Its possible I need to make two more checks? In which case Aristu is who I named first and would get that heal.

Then in a second batch, because we did not yet get effected by Treat Medicine in the last hour, I rolled to heal both Alister and Mikhail. We were much less hurt so I just went for the DC 20. I rolled a 33, which I believe is a crit since I beat the DC by 10. So that made it 4d8+10. Which would have worked out to 26 points of healing from that roll. But again, maybe this should have been two rolls? If so Alister was first so the healing would go to him and I would need to roll another one for me.

Okay, thanks to both of you for the explanation. Let's roll independently for each person from now on.

Kern is very determined to find any hint at where all these people went. After his search, he will assist in the pyre/clean-up.

Survival (M)+17 (+1 Sense Direction/Track)

Does it look like tack is missing? Fresh horse dung? Does the barn have any recent non-spriggan activity? Is the smithy recently used? Does it looks like there should be more (numerically) water breathing potions at the well (i.e. did someone flee down the well?

Expeditious Search:

You have a system that lets you search at great speed, finding details and secrets twice as quickly as others can. When Searching, you take half as long as usual to Search a given area. This means that while exploring, you double the Speed you can move while ensuring you’ve Searched an area before walking into it (up to half your Speed). If you’re legendary in Perception, you instead Search areas four times as quickly.

Roslin accepts the Varn ancestral weapon. She doesn't mention her fear that she is the last of her father's children.

As Mikhail works to create a pyre on the outskirts of the town, Kernithar goes looking once again for signs of the departure of the townsfolk.

Kernithar:
You find signs that a large number of people - men, women and children - all walked south out of the town, following no track or road. They simply moved in a southerly direction on foot several weeks ago. Here and there a matted meadow, a broken branch or even a large number of footprints in a certain muddy lowland convinces you that for some reason the people of Varnhold - hundreds of them - simply walked off to the south together one day, taking with them neither possessions, carts, animals or in many cases, even shoes. All the animals, all the tack, walking sticks, carts and anything else one might take on a journey is still right here in town, when it wasn't despoiled by the spriggans.

Kernithar relays his findings to the group.

"South. It seems our journey is to the south. Everyone just walked away to the south as far as I can tell."

"A hopeful sign at last." Aristu looks to Alister, "Is there more to do here, or should we head south?"

Alister nods to Roslin. "Small comfort, I know. But we will find out what happened to your father. And hopefully, we can bring him and his people back." He takes a deep breath, wondering once again if Faisul had seen all of this.

"Ok, South it is. Gather any provisions. Who knows how long they walked. I don't know why they didn't take anything with them, but it doesn't mean we can't."

Kernithar will tend to his own wounds while scouring all of Varnhold for any more clues or provisions.

I'd like to use Expeditious Search across all of Varnhold, Kern's Perception is +17 (Master). My base Speed is 55ft (unless it's been 8hrs since we approached that first watchtower, in which case it's only 45ft.
Are there any more threats? Do you want me to roll the Medicine checks? What time of day is it? Would it make sense to rest here overnight?
