Soran's arrow hits the gnoll in the chest, drawing a snarl. Mikail moves and attacks, but the gnoll is rocked back by Ferabras and he misses by a hair!
Hoshiko attacks!
The gnolls throw back their heads and howl a paen to Lamashtu! The two gnolls in front attack, one vs Ferabras and the other vs Hoshiko!

The two in the back raise unholy symbols and chant a prayer! A black bolt flies from each toward Zolarus and Ferabras!

Mikail rears back as the dark energy bolt slams into Fera and another flies past on his other side. Grunting in effort, he lunges forward to try and take out the gnoll in front of him.
Ferabras carves the red gnoll to ribbons! Soran turns the yellow gnoll into a corpse with well-placed arrows! Mikail is forced to change to the gnoll menacing Hosh and stabs him hard in the kidneys, while Hosh's aim is temporarily off. Zolarus heals his friends!
The blue gnoll picks his way through the rubble to swing at Mikail, while the Orange one attacks Hoshiko!

Between Ferabras and Hoshiko, the orange gnoll falls! Only the blue one remains as Soran's arrows miss by inches and Zolarus curses him!
Mikail's rapier strike impales the gnoll, who snarls a bloody snarl and topples over, dead.
COMBAT OVER!
In the cages, the man is slumped over, moaning. If you get close he tries to speak, but his tongue has been cruelly cut from his mouth! Still he scratches in the dirt near the cage the words 'PRIEST. SARANRAE. KELLIS.'
The other cage holds a woman whose eyes stare and see little as she drools against the bars. It looks as if her mind has broken against the horror she has seen.

Mikail cleans his rapier and puts it away before peering around the room. Once he is sure that everything else is secure and no more secrets are to be found, he carefully approaches the cage with the priest. "I hope you won't take this the wrong way, but the last person we pulled out of a cage down here tried to attack us. We will let you out, but we must make sure we are safe too.. will you allow yourself to be bound until we can be sure that you are not enspelled as well??"
Mikail, you can see the man nodding, but you also notice his abdomen is moving, like there's something under the skin.

Ferabras begins to lay a hand on Mika, as if he's going to convince him that the captives need not be bound, until he sees the kitsune's eyes widen at the movement under the man's skin. "Gods, what is that?" he exclaims, holding a hand before him to sense for the presence of evil in the unfortunate soul.
At the same time, he asks, "Is that your name, Kellis? Are...were...you a priest of Sarenrae?"
The man nods and points to himself, before wiping out the words and writing 'Captured. Brought here. Evil place.' He wipes out place and writes 'People.'
The man looks stricken and writes 'RITUAL. MADE ME DRINK. FEEL..' and he slumps to the side, screaming wordlessly.

"Unless one of you have a way to treat this...affliction," Fera says hesitantly, "I think it safest for Kellis to stay in his cage until we have finished our work here. Once we have cleared this place of abominations, we can free him and hurry him to a temple of Sarenrae. I would hate to have this evil overtake him and have to kill him, as we did Othine."
"ARGHHHHH!" screams the tongueless man as he gives one final spasm and his chest bursts open from inside! Emerging from him is a small hideous half-gnoll, half-human looking infant, sporting yellow eyes and long claws. It hisses at all of you and starts devouring the dead priest!
The frightful little infant monster is dispatched with a quick thrust of Ferabras' blade.
The insane woman giggles slightly and slumps against the cage. The poor cleric is dead, his insides torn to shreds.

Mikail jumps back with a squeak as the priest suddenly thrashes and cries out. When the beast bursts forth in a fan of blood and fluids Mikails gorge rises and like Hoshiko, the pitiful fox loses all of his stomach onto the floor. As Fera does what must be done, Mikail drops to his knees with a sob. He shudders for a few minutes before he is able to get a hold of himself and regain his feet. "This is terrible. These bastards need to die. These... devils.. no devils is too good for them. I shall bring this place down around their ears!!!"
Mikail is hurting.. this all has been too much for the gentle foxman.. he has learned to take care of what needs to be done, but his heart will never be shielded from the necessary duties. He pulls a wand from his belt and hands it to Zolarus wordlessly and waits for a moment as he is engulfed in a healing glow. Once it dissipates, he stalks off through the western door.
Mikail eases the door open. This sparsely furnished chamber contains a single wooden table that’s covered in maps of various regions.
Three figures work in this room. One is a degenerate looking creature more suited for subterranean life, one is a horribly disfigured human woman who looks several months pregnant and the last is a terrible mixture of wolf and porcupine. The two humanoids look down at a table that is covered with maps and parchment.
However, as soon as the door opens, both the human and the porcu-wolf look up and the porcu-wolf begins to growl loudly!

The porcu-wolf throws its head back and howls!
Hoshiko's swing takes the porcu-wolf hard, nearly knocking it down!
The morlock leaps over the porcu-wolf like a mad hare and swings a heavy mace at Hoshiko! for damage!

Soran peppers the wolf-thing with arrows, adding to its quills. It gives a great shiver and the howl cuts off into a gurgle as it collapses!
Ferabras steps up and hits the morlock hard. The creature snarls and spits out broken teeth as it stares hard at Ferabras with hatred. Ferabras notices a ring of keys hanging prominently from the morlock's belt!
The pregnant cultist moves to the north of Ferabras, drawing two wicked looking kukri as she goes! She slashes at him!

Mikail's arrow glances off the morlock's armor while Zolarus lays down a curse on the morlock and cultist!

HOSHIKO is up!

The morlock howls and swings at Ferabras, then bites at him with crooked yellow teeth!

The cultist drops as Ferabras' teeth and sword do the deed effectively!
Soran pumps a few arrows into the morlock, ending his threat with several wet thwacks!
A search of the dead reveals only some mundane equipment, but the maps on the table look intriguing!
location. They also indicate where Lamasthan cults hide in secret cells!
The other papers are also interesting. Tacked to the table, several crinkled sheets of parchment contain lists of names and descriptions of specific individuals. Most of these names are Andoren. Some of the descriptions discuss Twilight Talon plans to infiltrate specific locations and possible countermeasures the cult might take. Thus, it can easily be deduced that the names on the list are likely those of the organization’s field operatives. Ominously, some of the names have already been crossed out. You would guess that Othine supplied this information, either willingly or unwillingly.
The western door leads to a passage that loops back to the entrance, but there's also a southern door or back the way you came!

Ferabras collects the sheets of parchment, to be sure they are out of the hands of evildoers, shaking his head sadly as he does so. "Poor Othine, to have fallen so low," me laments.
"I certainly don't know what that map is about, but I know we're likely to find more evil to destroy through that door. Everyone ready?"

Mikail looks over the maps, but has no clue what they mean. Quickly, he doffs his Handy haversack and begins stuffing maps and papers within. As he does, he looks over to Fera and responds. "There is no telling whether she gave up these names willingly.. she was in pretty bad shape.." his foxy snout turns dour, considering her fate. Once the maps are packed away, he moves to the door for his customary sneak and peek once everyone is ready.
Mikail sneaks through the south door, into a long corridor that opens into a larger room. More iron slave cages line the outer walls of this cavern. A row of wooden stocks stand next to small pots filled with glowing coals. A half-dozen slender brands and skewers dangle from pegs hammered into the cavern walls.
Three cultists assist another one of those jackal demons here.
However no sooner has Mikail slipped inside, than one of the cultists looks up and shouts "INTRUDER!"

The jackal demon points at Mikail and shouts an unholy word! Mikail feels his limbs locking!
The cultists move up, drawing their blades as they go. Two of them point at Mikail and sickly grey rays arc toward him!
and If they hit, I need a Fort Save DC 13 or be sickened for 2 minutes!
