Sunday Daud |

So... umm... what did we do with the bodies?
The half-elf prepares one Shoanti stew with whatever meet and spices he is able to find.

Delendir Farnes |

Delendir has no modals and some behavioural problems but he has still some taste!!! XD
"I will take the last one. Wake me up at sunrise Tal. As for the bodies... I suggest we bury their remains if we cannot burn them. For Jessica's family... she will have to take the decision herself " and with that the visibly tired ranger heads to sleep.

Sunday Daud |

"I wouldn't bother with the pieces of filth, just let the guards or Pharasmins toss them into a more permenant pit."

Wicked Grace |

"We probably should summon the guard." Grace says, in agreement with Sunday's words. "Or, at the very least, someone from Jessica's temple. This strikes me as a problem the authorities should know about."

Delendir Farnes |

Delendir nods in agreement at the idea of bringing in the authorities before he leaves looking for a cot.

Sunday Daud |

Nodding Sunday makes for the door to begin searching for a guard or someone that could tell him where the nearest temple of Shelyn is. He'd find some guards to get rid of the monsters afterwards.

Wicked Grace |

Grace moves to Sunday's side.
"Let us find the temple, first. They'll be best able to advise us. Call it a relic of my upbringing, but I don't trust the authorities without a bit of endorsement."
If Sunday doesn't mind, Crispy, we'll go looking for the temple of Shelyn first.

Sunday Daud |

Sunday pauses before bowing towards the singer followed by taking up a flank to her side and slightly behind as they head out. "After you, milady."
"Curious, before coming to Sandpoint I didn't even know there was such a thing as 'authorities'."

Jessica DuMorne |

Kiley Sherrow |

Kiley smiles.
"Isn't that what siblings are for? To be there for each other? I'll stay as long as you need me to," she says as she returns Jessica's hug.

As some of his friends go to bed and others head into town, Tal goes into the elvish resting trance to rest and reevaluate the events of the day. Once rested enough he sends out his familiar to patrol the outside of the house and signal Tal if he spots any unfamiliar individuals. Tal in the meantime goes to examine the three faceless stalkers and their equipment. Perhaps there is something in their attire or gear that could give a hint of their origin.

DM Crispy |

The elf steps forward, his demeanor business-like, his tone grim. "Can you repeat your story to me, please?"

Sunday Daud |

Um Crispy, it was kinda decided it would be a smart idea to find the temple first, then the guards.

Delendir Farnes |

The guards found you first. As always police is only there when you do not want them xD

Sunday Daud |

lol but Crispy did say we found the guard, not the other way around.

DM Crispy |

Haha, smart is in short supply these days. Let's rewind.
The doors have no guards, but are open. As the duo pushes their way inside, they find a handsome young man in the white vestments of Shelyn pruning a rosebush in a planter inside the main worship area. He turns from his duties as he notices you and smiles, rising to his feet.
"Hello, sir. Ma'am. May Shelyn's grace be with you this evening."

Sunday Daud |

Jessica DuMorne |

Kiley Sherrow |

"No need... just wanting to help," she murmurs as Jessica covers them both up. Soon, the smaller woman is fast asleep.

Wicked Grace |

Grace smiles at the young cleric, "I'm afraid I need to speak to whomever is in charge. It is urgent and concerns the well-being of one of your fellow acolytes, a woman named Jessica DuMorne. Her family has been murdered by... well, I'll explain it all to the highest ranking priest or priestess on duty, please."

DM Crispy |

Seemingly melting under the smile of Grace, the young acolyte turns serious when the singer mentions murder. He urges the duo to wait a few moments while he gathers the priest on duty.
A short time later, the young man comes back, this time with a handsome man in his mid-thirties whose well-chiseled jaw and mighty physique would be more associated with a warrior than a priest. He wears the same colors that the acolyte and Jessica wear, though, and smiles with an undeniable beauty of his own as he approaches Sunday and Grace.
"Perhaps I can be of assistance? What is this you spoke of? Murder? Please explain..."

Wicked Grace |

Then she turns serious. She introduces herself and Sunday, then explains that she and her companions, including Jessica, a member of the order, came to the city and to Jessica's house. She goes on to describe encountering and killing the creatures that murdered and impersonated Jessica's family. Finally, Grace notes that they came to the temple for guidance in this matter since they are strangers here and only Jessica, who is despondent, is a native.

DM-Salsa |

The priest is pale when Grace finishes telling her grim tale.
"I thank you for letting us know of this. We will notify the proper authorities immediately. Tell me, where is the rest of your party and Miss DuMorne? I wish to speak with them," he says as he motions for a young acolyte to come over.
Perception Checks please, Don't forget the -10 for sleeping if you are. I think everyone but Jessica has stated that they are either going to bed or asleep already.

Jessica DuMorne |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Jessica has drifted off by now, even if it's not a very peaceful sleep.
Perception: 1d20 + 7 - 10 ⇒ (18) + 7 - 10 = 15
Oh, and Yay!

Wicked Grace |

Salsa, did the thingies bleed when we cut them? And what color if they did?

Delendir Farnes |

Tired by the long journey and the intense arrival to Magnimar, Delendir rests at one of the guests rooms dreaming about his old workshop and young lovers.
The snoring of the half-elf is clearly audible around his room. Without proper pyjama and defeated by Desna's dream tricks, the ranger sleeps in his scale mail, all his equipment laying on a chair nearby.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 - 10 ⇒ (18) + 12 - 10 = 20
Ghina sleeps next to his companion, over a table Delendir has set as a nest with some old racks found in the kitchen.
Ghina Perception: 1d20 + 14 - 10 ⇒ (11) + 14 - 10 = 15
It seems some hawks sleep all night

Wicked Grace |

Diplomacy. This is perfectly reasonable! Really!: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (14) + 14 = 28
Sense Motive. Just in case: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (7) + 16 = 23

DM-Salsa |

The priest looks a little shocked at the request, but soon composes himself well enough to answer Grace's question.
"Shelyn is not one to condone self-mutilation, but you said shape-changers, yes? I suppose that she'll forgive me this once if it will help ease you're minds."
The priest holds out a hand to Wicked Grace. "If you could, try to avoid severing anything. I was hoping to learn the piano someday," he says with a wry smile.
In case it's not clear, he's hold out his hand for you to make the cut and see his blood.

Kiley Sherrow |

Perception: 1d20 + 5 - 10 ⇒ (13) + 5 - 10 = 8
Kiley continues to sleep next to Jessica, somehow having gotten a hold of a soft teddy-bear while she was sleeping.

Tal had the midnight watch and toyed around with his scrolls while waiting for his guard posting to pass.
He wakes up one of the others to finish the morning session.
Wanted to have Tal meditate at the 4 four hours, guard the second 4 and just be awake but resting the last 4. Apparently elves only need 4 hours of sleep but do need 8 hours of rest for spells.

Sunday Daud |

All too quickly Sunday will thrust a finger into the priest's offered hand and look at the resulting blood trickle out.
Used one daily use of his Vampiric Touch. Priest is now bleeding.

DM-Salsa |

This is about thirty minutes after Sunday and Grace leave for the Temple of Shelyn. I don't think anyone stated anything about watches and the last I checked, Tal was busy trancing.

DM-Salsa |

The priest grimaces at the pain, but lets both of you see the trickle of red blood before healing the wound.
"I hope that helps assuage your fears, Miss," the priest says as the acolyte he had motioned to joins the group.
"Alistair, please go alert the guard that the DuMorne Family has been murdered. Tell them that we will be making arrangements for the dead, but we will let them investigate first. Quickly now," he tells the young man before turning back to the pair of you.
"Please, take me to see Jessica."

You awaken to soft footfalls on the second story.
Fort Saves please.

Kiley Sherrow |

Fort: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9

Jessica DuMorne |

Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Yeah, 10 on a fort save, not good, not good at all. Bet we missed one of those mud men.

Wicked Grace |

She turns and motions.
"Come. We'll go right away."
She will go with Sunday to lead the priest to the house.

Sunday Daud |

Walking alongside her he unconsciously puts the offending tip of the finger into his mouth, not catching he is doing so until seconds after the fact. At which point he looks down at his finger as confusion crosses his face.

Delendir Farnes |

Delendir quickly hands to his dagger as he feels something odd is going on. On confirming the footfalls in the second story, he takes his longsword and attempts to very stealthily get out of the room.
Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
He gives a last look to Ghina pondering if he should awaken the others, but quite sure this is just his imagination or some sort of animal in the house, he decides to explore.
Once out in the corridor he looks around, trying to distinguish the source of the sounds. He also looks at the rooms around, trying to see if any companion is still awake.
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26
If there is light or sounds in any room of my companions, Delendir will go check there if they are listening also the sounds in the second story. Can he see light at Tal's room while he inscribes his scrolls?

![]() |

Actually trancing now, I think Kylie/gm said it happened just 30 min after sunday and grace left.

DM-Salsa |

Yup. That's it exactly.
Magnimar's night life begins to start up as the stars begin appearing in the sky. The priest following your lead to Jessica's family's house, or what used to be their house.
1d20 + 9 ⇒ (14) + 9 = 23
You don't see or hear anything out of the ordinary, though you do manage to make one of the floorboards squeak.
You are awakened, briefly, by a cloth soaked in something over your mouth, but before you can scream or even gasp in surprise, you find yourselves floating off into unconsciousness.

Delendir Farnes |

Delendir stops on place when he hears the board complain under his foot. He awaits there for some seconds expecting for something to happen or one of his companions to appear awaken by his movement. I have a terrible feeling about all this. Ghina seems to awaken and turns his head looking at the ranger and his heavy feet a bit confused. He makes a sign to the hawk and this one flies towards his companion landing on his left hand.
Handle animal (heel) autosucceeds: 1 + 9 = 10
The half-elf nods to Ghina and decides to resume walking then towards the second floor where he seemed to hear the footfalls.
Stealth: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Perception: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (5) + 12 = 17
Perception (Ghina): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (10) + 14 = 24
If the second floor is where the others are staying and he does not see or hear anything out of normal, Delendir knocks softly at the door of one of his companions and asks by their name if they are awake.
Depending on availability he attempts in this order:
Tal > Jessica > Kiley

DM-Salsa |

1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Nothing out of the ordinary for a house full of sleeping people reaches your ears as you go to knock on door to the room that Tal is staying in.
You are pulled from your trance by a soft knock on the door, followed by Delendir softly calling your name.

perception : 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (11) + 7 = 18
Tal's keen ears pull him out of his trance and using his enhaced darkvision finds the way to the door unaided. He opens it quietly and when he finds Delendir at the other end he whispers "Delendir? Is it my turn or is something amiss?"
-Posted with Wayfinder

Delendir Farnes |

"Sorry to wake you up. It is most probably my imagination, I heard some footfalls around and thought it might be some of you still awake" whispers the half-elf, while holding the longsword in one hand and Ghina in the other and visibly nervous "I thought it was you finishing one of your scrolls or tending to Jessicas'... sorry, well it is clearly not the case; you seem to have been sleeping"
"You have not heard anything then?" Delendir looks uneasy to Jessica's, Kiley's and Elisai's doors "Perhaps we should check if they are ok. I would feel calmer."

DM-Salsa |

Did I fail or pass my Perception check =]
You failed, sorry. :P

Jessica DuMorne |

Lol, Best. Dream. Ever!

Wicked Grace |

Salsa, let me know when Sunday and I return with the priest.
