Hi!
Hope things are improving KLS. Let us know when does it come a better time for having the needed clarity to push the game.
Happy Chinese New Year in case you celebrate!

Kiley Sherrow |

Hey guys, I need some time to step back and clear my head and recharge, so I'm not going to be posting for the next couple of weeks. I know things are slow here, but I wanted to let everyone in all the games I GM or play in know.

Sunday Daud |

Okies, thanks for letting us know.
*hugs tightly*

Delendir Farnes |

Of course Kiley! Take your time, it is very healthy to focus on other things from time to time.
What worries me is KLS posted a gameplay post las time 20 days ago, and it was not really flowing anyway before then. This game is in comma and in my opinion we need more push and constancy to avoid its death.

Sunday Daud |

Yeah, I guess.
Jess? El? Grace? Are you still with us?

Jessica DuMorne |

Course I'm still here.

Sunday Daud |

Double yay!
*also glomps*

Sunday Daud |

Um, if you guys are up for it I may have someone who would be interested in taking over, or has anyone heard from KLS lately?

Sunday Daud |

Triple yay!
*glomps again*

Hello gang!
I was interested in starting up another AP game when I received a message that you were in need of assistance over here. After taking a quick peek around it appears I'm involved with two of your players in other games, both of which I enjoy playing with immensely.
I've been involved with either playing or running Runelords books 1 & 2 in four different games, so I'm quite familiar with the storyline. If you guys are ready to move on with another GM I can step in and help you out, but I don't want to be seen stepping on KLS's toes at all.

Jessica DuMorne |

What do you guys think? I think we're eraching a point where we need to progress somehow and we haven't heard from our current dm for a couple of weeks now.

Sunday Daud |

I'm inclined to agree with Jessica.

Delendir Farnes |

I am definitely in. If ShadowLord feels comfortable taking over, let's try it.
I do not thing KLS will be coming back anytime soon and anyway, from his last discussion post I think he will understand.

DM KLS |

Good friggin lord this has taken absolutely forever! This is honestly the first time I've actually been able to get on to my computer since I've been here. It was one of the first things I set up (my birds were the first obviously), and after that, everything got piled in front of it lol. I've just now cleared out enough space so that I can easily access it. The new place is going smoothly, got plenty of room, so it's just a matter of time before everything is finally in a place it can call home. Trying to do a move after work and get things settled is a pain in rear for sure. I do apologize for the longer absence than I anticipated, I can't promise tomorrow, but I am going to try and post sometime tomorrow because it's been way too damn long.
As far as the other place goes, it's just absolute stupid hell trying to get things fixed there, but there is some light that I'm hoping will be able to help me out, but the term 'hoping' is a very large stretch for how I really feel about it lol.
Anyways, Kiley, I hope things go well for you in your break, Elisai, I hope things are well in your home, and everyone else, I hope that nothing terrible has happened to you.

DM KLS |

And go figure. Literally, a few hours after I post, my router decided to be absolutely stupid. My computer isn't connecting to the internet for some reason, despite the fact that other devices are still connecting properly. So my posting abilities are going to be extremely limited as in I'm not going to be able to put maps up until I get this issue fixed. So if everyone is okay with that, then we can continue on, but if you feel like it'll be an issue, then we'll have to figure something out. This is why I ended up not posting yesterday, and am actually making this post from work while I'm at lunch.

Sunday Daud |

I'm fine with continuing.

KLS, you still with us?

Sunday Daud |

Okay, what do you guys think at this point?

Delendir Farnes |

With all respects to KLS as a person, I think this is not working, posts should go to gameplay not discussion. I understand he is probably well-intended but we also want to continue our adventures and play.
Thus, if someone like ShadowLord wants to give us a new opportunity as a group, I think it is time to move on.

Jessica DuMorne |

I agree with Delendir.

Jessica DuMorne |

I'm just glad that you tried and I greatly appreciate that.

Hello again. I've been asked to return once more to visit your game!
I've read the last ten pages of gameplay as it has passed through Krispy, Salsa and KLS. I can certainly say you are a prolific bunch with nearly 100 pages of gameplay posts - nice work!
After read reading through all those posts I have a rough idea of who you are and how you fit into your group. While I read all the pages since you have arrived in Magnimar, I haven't braved the 85 pages of Sandpoint and it's hinterlands. It would be awesome if you could guys synpopsize yourselves for me in a few sentences. If there are some plots and hooks in play that you want me aware of, feel free to PM those separately in addition to this.
Also, as I understand it we have a few players in various states. I've seen Jessica, Sunday, Grace and Delendir are active. I know that Kiley is on hiatus as I play in another game with that player. Are Tal and Elisai around?
Who's ready to get back in action?

Jessica DuMorne |

As far as I know Tal dropped off the face of the earth a few months ago, the possible loss of his character will be a major thing for mine due to her having fallen for him as hard as she did.
I'll work on the rest of that for you today/tomorrow. Also, I have noted in my character sheet a list of triggers for my adoration ability to streamline gameplay. We've used it to make it easier to keep combat flowing. I'll send that to you as well.
As for continuing, I'm always ready.

GM ShadowLord |

Thanks Jessica.
This is crazy, but I looked at Tal's aliases and I see that he used to play in one of my PFS games. He disappeared as the game was wrapping up in November of last year which I suppose coincides to when he poofed from here. As luck would have it, I have a copy of his email address for when I was emailing out chronicle sheets. I'll drop him a line today and see if I can get something from him.

Sunday Daud |

Thank you for your effort KLS
*hugs*
*waves at GM Shadowlord*
Sunday was also very attached to Kiley so I don't quite know how to handle her hiatus.

Elisai Aurear |

I'm still here and active! I successfully attended the funeral, moved, and started my new job, so everything still works, and I can still average a post per day, with slightly more on weekends. That said, I am slightly concerned that Tal is gone due to his high interactions with Jessica. Actually ShadowLord, how important is it to have access to a high level arcane caster in the future? I'm only concerned because there are obviously several spells that we won't have access to, and I'd hate the adventure to assume we have access to something crucial / important (like Fly, Overland Flight, Mage's Disjunction, Mind Blank, Teleport etc) to solving a crisis.

Sunday Daud |

Sunday will have a sorta fly at 7th level if that helps any.

Elisai Aurear |

Yeah and technically so can Elisai eventually, but its more of a general concern that the path might expect us to have access to spells to handle opponents x/y/z, or situation a. Like, this is the first time I have ever played RotRL so I have no idea where the plot would take us, so I'm really just checking with the GM so we don't run into problems down the road.

Sunday Daud |

*nods*
But going with Paizo's general philosophy I believe that while having certain spells will make things easier it won't be required, and if it is they're will be items or NPCs that can help instead.
Same reason you don't have to have a rogue in order to find traps now, or a ranger in order to track :3

GM ShadowLord |

Yay! Glad you are still around Elisai, feel free to plop yourself with the others in gameplay.
I emailed Tal and we will give him a few days to respond before discussing his fate. For now though, we will work around anything that arises. Keep in my AP's are designed for our players and so you guys are already above that in regards to being prepared. If we encounter something that you had planned on Tal accomplishing and you nothing to compensate with, well I'll make sure it's not a big deal. I'm quite flexible.

Delendir Farnes |

Hi ShadowLord and welcome onboard!
Tal
That is great that you have his email, even if he does not have the time or desire to play any longer it would be great to hear he is ok.
It is a relevant lose to Jessica, and it was also the only one that shared some kind of understanding with Delendir. That said, it is perhaps a good place for him on the story to leave. The elf was in Sandpoint hiding from some problem he had in Magnimar, and his parents are living here. Maybe he can stay after we leave, to solve his issues, help his parents and perhaps promise Jessica to arrange things with her family matters while she refugees herself back at Sandpoint or wherever next the adventure takes us.
Wizard
Perhaps this is a good moment if someone want to switch to a full arcane. I personally am quite involved with Delendir even if the 'loner' role feels a bit harsher than I expected at times. I would like to continue with him.
Kiley
She is a pillar for Sunday and the group dynamics, but I am pretty confident she will come back to the game after some weeks.
Delendir
The half-elf is a stout middle-aged ranger easy to anger who forgives even easier. His life is filled with lose and lack of understanding. He seems always out of place, which brings him usually to isolation even when he needs and try to get in touch with people. First the elven society, then the shoanties, Magnimar and then only back on the fields of Sandpoint he has found rest. For a time. His mother's death, his father's love lost, his culture lost, the lost of his first wife, his daughter leaving him, and only recently the lost of his new partner and current home. The opportunity to join to Sandpoint adventurers was just the perfect reason for him to focus on something and forget while maybe giving him a decent death to redeem himself.
His initial stay at Sandpoint at the beginning of the adventure was motivated by an attack to his home by giants when he was away. The house was burned and his partner dead. He keeps trying to convince Deverin and Hemlock that the giants are active and they should be managed, but he has not been heard so far.
I have much more detailed information on his past life and why he looks for redemption as well as for the reasons of his personality and motivations, but I think it is better to send it through PM if it is relevant. I do not want to bore anyone :P
Diary
I keep a small summary of the adventure, including a dairy which might help you know what have we been through and how it ended.
Thread
I would personally prefer to maintain the game here, for continuity, stats and nostalgia, but will go with the majority. From personal experience the transfer might take 1 or 2 months, but if they see you are actively GMing, they will perform it.

Sunday Daud |

Looking at the top of the thread it's still listing Crispy as the GM so maybe it's just taking awhile to take into effect?

Elisai Aurear |

@Delendir
I could potentially consider switching to full arcane, but only if Tal is unable to return. Much of what Elisai can currently do is also covered (to some extent) by Grace, so we don't lose too much, and I'll still consider keeping much of her personality as possible.

Sunday Daud |

El is a friggin awesome Skald, but I could definitely see her as a sorcerer. But play the character you want, not the character you think we might need :3

Delendir Farnes |

I know Eli from other games, I had the feeling she will enjoy the idea :)
I hope Tal comes back though, but otherwise I concur both you can keep all the fun of the character and add to it the fun of a sorcerer.

Sunday Daud |

I'm multitalented baby, I can do both =]
*awaits obligatory Grace quip*
You could also take Leadership if the GM allows, I'm sure you and Grace are famous enough to definitely have some groupies ^w^

Sunday Daud |

Um, what kind of groupies are you invi- nvm

Elisai Aurear |

Hypothetically, what even are flavorful sorc bloodlines for RotRL? So far, we seem to be dealing with all manner of things, and traveling so different places to its difficult to pin down.
