"Count on it, Arcilde. And thanks!" Gervase *winks* at her friend.

"Next time, Lily! Hmm ..."

The ranger surveys the tactical position of the group with admiration. "Nicely done, guys! They shouldn't last too long now."

The Midnight Mirror

Arcilde provides a blessing to Gervase, giving her a greater insight into battle. Going to retroactively allow that to have happened first; since Gervase isn't having trouble hitting, I'm saying she chose AC bonus this round.

Gervase stabs at the skum in the doorway, and again lands a strong blow.

Lily throws a blast of thors that embed into the door next to it.

Gilstrom attacks from around the corner, but the doorway proves to be an easier target than the creature behind it. Don't forget that attacking around a corner grants the target a Cover bonus to AC. Not that it made a difference this time ...

--------
Red trident vs Gilstrom (hard corner): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Not wanting to give up the protection of the doorway, the skum stabs back at Gilstrom the same way. His strike is much closer than Gilstrom's was, but the wily gnome uses the doorway to his own advantage.

Blue trident vs Gilstrom (hard corner): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

They do a mirror of the dance you are using, and trade places; the first skum returns to the doorway, and has the same luck as his companion.

Red uses the cover from the door to avoid an AoO has he moves back, then Blue 5' steps up to full attack.

Everyone is up! Both skum are bleeding significantly.

And launches one of her massively powerful spikes right at one of the Skum! HECK YEAH.

Lily fires another thorn, this time with amazing aim. It hits the skum directly in the forehead, and drops it.

END OF COMBAT

The remainder of this floor is unoccupied, so I've revealed the map, assuming you're looking around.

P4 A long marble workbench runs the entire length of the southern wall, and a rusting metal shelf stands on the opposite wall. Squat stools line up along the bench, which is littered with a variety of small, precise hammers and chisels as well as fragments of crystalline stone that looks like quartz.

P5 This dark chamber is featureless except for a large ring of an unusual-looking metal embedded in the floor.

P6 This chamber appears to be a workshop, as evidenced by a table along the western wall laden with tools and mechanical parts.

P7 The faint coppery tang of blood wafts out of this room when the door is opened. A gleaming metal table covered in blood stands in the northeastern corner of the room. Just south of the table is a smaller table covered in surgical tools—some of them obviously used. A body lies in a butchered pile in the center of the room.

Let me know if you are spending time searching or doing anything else before going up the ramp. There have been sounds of battle that anyone upstairs may have heard, so you may or may not have an issue with time.

The colonists can use the tools back at the colony, these are to fine a make to let them go to waste... and these crystals are just so pretty! Any knowledge checks necessary or anything like that?

Gervase investigating P7:
A metal sheet attached to the eastern wall of this room is etched with anatomical diagrams and brief instructions of incision length and depth for various parts of the human body. The body in the room has been stripped of most of its meat, but the carcass is otherwise intact. A set of bloody and torn men’s clothes sits in a pile near the smaller table. In a pocket, you find two bars of what appear to be some sort of soap.

Liberty's Edge

You make your way up the ramp to the next level. After what seems like DAYS AND DAYS!

Much of this level is a room that wraps around the tower. At this room’s northernmost end, a ramp descends to the lower level, and another ramp on the south wall ascends to the floor above. Against a wall to the southwest is a table suitable for quiet study. The western side of this area sports half a dozen bookshelves covered in the dust of deteriorating paper and leather. Opposite the shelves is a small stone plinth holding a clockwork bust of a nondescript woman. A large table surrounded by a few stools occupies the eastern side of this room.

Please place yourselves in the yellow box on the ramp up in the order you are ascending.

So the only way that works is if you draw the javelin while moving, then throw once you get into place. If you have your shield, that means you had to drop your trident back before you started moving, and you are now unarmed. Is that what you intended?
