Julian gives a low whistle at Rowan's burst of holy might, though each layer of holy righteousness was indeed inspiring but ultimately futile. The Shadow Demons natural defenses were thwarting her and at Anathya's comment he grunts. "Not gonna happen. So just be ready to run interference if his friends show up." He turns back to watching the battle between the demon and Rowan then, clearly waiting to engage the moment he needed too.

He leans the crumpled red cloth against his shoulder and pulls out an extract. Uncorking it he smells it lightly before swigging it down in a single gulp. His inkuries nearly disappear as he tucks away the empty vial. Clearly he had drank down another healing potion of sorts.

Rowan continued to rain blow after blow upon the demon, and it was clear that despite all of its many defenses, she was getting through to it. Its strength seemed about half-diminished from what it had been at the very start, and the demon let out an angry bellow as it focused, then lashed out again.

This time around, it hit much harder than before, although none of the infernal chill its body possessed got through Rowan's natural resistance to the cold. "...I see, you have been afflicted by a curse." the demon said. "A pity, or I could tell you all of what I've done to Aron... I would enjoy your suffering."

"The only curse I suffer from Demon is not trusting an ally in need. Nurah is no longer your proxy and..." The demons words cracked her mental resolve, her sword falter momentarily before she raised it once more, touching her injured face with her free hand as she spoke. "... What have you done to Aron?" Her wounds mended as her piercing gaze slammed into the Shadow Demon alond with her shining sword as its holy might started to fade. I will protect that young boy, for Sosiel... For Nurahs sake. Her sword flashed out several times again, tearing into the shadow demons incorporeal form but it was obvious its words had caused her distress as her last attack falters...

As the holy might fades from her sword she redoubles her efforts to bring the demon low, however her abilities were quickly becoming exhausted. She was facing a battle of attrition, one she knew she could win so long as things didn't unravel. But when her swing falters again she feels an icy spear of uncertainty. It wasn't enough to stop her but could she truly defeat this vile threat?

At the end of Rowan's sixth round of attacks, something changed - the demon was just a little bit too slow, and her blade pierced straight into the monster's torso. Slowly, it raised its head, and faced head-on the wrath of the righteous.

"This isn't over." Eustoriax said quietly. "I was but the first success. In time, others will follow... and your precious Candle of Hope will be snuffed out by the darkness of the Abyss." His body exploded into nothingness as the power in Rowan's blade finally overwhelmed him. As he died, you could feel the air itself being cleansed - the whispers that haunted this place died down, and the taint of evil seemed to be pulling away. A good consecration - or ten - by a priest was still likely to be needed, but the evil in this place had gone.

That left the old banner, still seeming like no more than an old piece of cloth. It looked right, but something was still missing - some element holding back the return of its power.

As the demon faded into nothing she spoke to the dispersing ether that was once Eustoriax. "Hope will only be extinguish when the last life fades." when he was completely gone she sheathed her sword, cutting incorporeal creatures had its perks. No blood and that was all.

She willed herself to land on the floor below, she turned herself to face her companions before her feet were even touching down. Once on the floor she removed her helm. she hardly glanced at the banner before approaching Anathya. Nodding to Julian as she walked past him. "Thanks for your support, all of you." She steps up to Anathya, placing her hand and cupping Anathya's cheek before leaning in to touch her forehead to hers. She looked into her eyes as she spoke softly, obviously concerned for Anathya's well being. "Are you okay?"

Beneath the awe and the rage and the worry, pushed down until she could deal with such things as years of training had taught her, was the horror. The utter revulsion of being possessed by the thing she hated most, of feeling useless and helpless. As Rowan's hand touches Anathya's cheek, her breath catches, the paladin's comforting presence pushing past the walls. As she feels the touch of her forehead, the simple question gives her permission to be something she hadn't been in a long time, even if only for a moment. Vulnerable.

"I..I am now." she answers in a voice barely above a whisper."It was so horrible Rowan....so...vile and...awful.," she continues, her body shaking slightly as a sob escapes her, tears streaming down her cheeks as she relives the absolute violation of having a creature that was anathemic to her most core beliefs so easily take control, leaving her a prisoner in her own body.

She lets her emotions out then, for a few minutes expressing what she couldn't begin to put into words, holding onto Rowan like a lifeline as she slowly regains her composure.

Rowan raises her head and embraces Anathya, holding her tightly and allowing her to have her vulnerable moment. She too needed a moment as the shaking in her limbs slowly subsided, though the battle had gone well the battle blood pounded in her veins. She looked back to the open doorway for a moment, looking for Nurah. Her heart skipping a beat when she didn't see her. So she called out. "Nurah, if you are there please come in. The danger has passed."

She continued to hold Anathya then, stroking her shimmering black hair, her cheek lightly pressed against Rowan's now dulled armored breastplate of the armor of the pious. Rowan turned her head and nodded slightly to Julian, silently willing him to go forward without them momentarily. Though they had defeated the demon, they hadn't fully won yet.

If he heads out she says.

"Check on Aron, make sure he is okay and find that caster. Don't hold back." The demons words stabbed at her heart, but she hoped that through Sosiel and her discovery that this was nothing more then a demon's desperate taunt.

Either way she the post continues with the below.

She continued to slowly stroke Anathyas hair then, her sobbing companions words echoing in her mind and giving her time to reflect. "Remember that above all, don't blame yourself. We came unprepared, you were injured spiritually and despite that, we won, you won Anathya." She spoke softly to her companion, recognizing the need for caution and empathy as she did so. "You did exemplary, you should be proud of that. Despite what happened you took back control and you will be stronger for it." She gave her a firm hug then, leaning her head onto the demon hunters shoulder. "I am so glad you are okay. This darkness will pass..."

He sighted with relief when the whispers faded. "Gah... thank Desna that noisy demon is dea..." Anathya's and Rowan's moment together leaves him feeling... rather uncomfortable. It wasn't that he lacked Empathy but his mutated form had urges of its own. At Rowan's nod though he had reason to leave and quickly. "Will do. Be careful... You are far too overextended Rowan." He gently pats Anathya's shoulder, saying nothing as the woman unloaded. He wouldn't embarrass her more.

He moves out into the main hall leaving the banner with Rowan and flying upwards and down the halls in a quick search of where the caster may have ran too. Same with where Aron was currently...

Nurah slowly crept into the room, looking around. "Huh. You bloody did it." she said, sounding genuinely in awe. "I mean, I hoped you would... but hopes usually don't come true..." she blinked away a bit of moisture that was starting to gather in her eyes.

Aron was further back, in the room where you'd fought the caster and her minions. He seemed lighter now, as if some sort of weight had been lifted from his shoulder. "You won." he said with a smile as he saw Julian. It wasn't a question - with the way the aura of evil here had lifted, it was obvious even to the untrained. "Did you find the Sword?"

Seeing Nurah brought a mix of relief and anger to Rowan, both of which she held back like a dam straining against a river of emotion. She didn't let Anathya go, unless she pulled away, as she spoke to her Chronicler with a divinely inspired voice. Her voice carried no anger, she had already dismissed it. Nurah had reaffirmed her faith once more, faith and hope that not all souls willingly turn themselves over to demonkind. "For now come here and embrace me, my friend, my companion." She extends her free hand to Nurah. Talk could come later, for now they needed to maintain their bonds, no more distrust.

If Nurah takes her invitation.

Rowan kisses the top of Nurah's forehead before hugging her tightly. Trying to reassure her as she spoke softly to her. "We have much to talk about you and I. Thank you for proving me wrong Nurah. If ever you find yourself in doubt, confide in me and together we can work through the dark times."

Julian smiled despite himself, sheathing Einherjar as he landed near Aron. "Good to see you in one piece, the demon was taunting us, mainly Rowan. She sent me to find you and prepare yourself, shes a bit clingy at the moment... yeah, we found it, the sword. At least I think we did, it seems to be inert or not up to what the legends say..." He remembers that he was looking for the caster as well. "See anything suspicious while we were gone?"

Taking another moment to get herself together, she wipes the tears fro her eyes as she looks up at the others re-entering with Julian. As she listens to the conversation, she again marvels at Rowan's leadership and her capacity for both understanding and mercy.

Giving her a last hug, she steps back smiling warmly. "You are truly amazing Rowan."

Nurah accepted the embrace, nodding slightly at Rowan's words. She simply plopped down a moment later, reaching into her bag and pulling out paper and some writing utensils. "I have to write this, before it's gone." the bard said quietly. After a few moments, though, she paused. "What was that demon talking about, anyway? All that Lady of Spring, Candle of Hope stuff... does that mean anything to you?"

Aron, back in the previous room, shook his head. "Nothing besides those whispers." he said. "We should probably have the Dawnbringers do a serious sweep of this area before we move everything in upstairs, but nobody tried to sneak in after you or anything." On the floor, you could see a few places where Aron had broken up the big magical circle that had been in use earlier, just to be sure.

Rowan smiles at Anathya commenting somewhat sadly as her companion stepped back. "Thank you, I learned much as a former Inquisitor at a terrible cost Anathya, an experiance I hope you never have yourself." Remembering her actions and her fall from grace always brought her pain but it was a grim reminder of the road she would never tread again.

When Nurah accepted her embrace she gave the Halfling a very firm hug before listening to her and nodding as she spoke. She shook her head though, unsure of what the demon had meant. "Off the top of my head no..."

"Probably, but by then though that demon's whore will have escaped." Julian tried to remember the direction that Anathya had pointed out and started moving in that direction. He called back to Aron then. "Let Irabeth know we've won Drezen and now all we got to do is some clean up of what enemies remain. Thanks Aron and watch your back, the last of our enemies will be desperate. DO not engage them alone."

Julian will search the Forge room, Starting in the north west area and finishing with the southeast area. From there he will move to the entrance to the prison area and hold his position.

Epithets were complicated matters, and were frankly hard to understand at best. There was, however, one thing that was manifestly clear - the terms were not ones used to refer to Iomedae.

-----

Aron nodded and headed off, sweating a bit as he moved through the sweltering heat of the forge.

In the northwest area past the forge... this wide chamber connects with two small vaults to the east and west. All three chambers hold a variety of weapons and gear of varying quality, but many weapon racks lie empty, as well. Nothing is better than what you already have, but taken together, it's a decent amount of supplies for arming and ultimately helping to rebuild the city.

Functionally, 10 units of Goods. o wo/

To the southeast, implements and tools for crafting and shaping weapons and armor lie strewn about the tables in this hexagon-shaped chamber. Meiyun would probably love this.

Darn you Julian XD beat me too it!

"From what I can tell it isn't any reference to Iomedae but..." Rowan thought long and hard but the distraction that Drezen was not yet fully secured nagged at her. Looking to Nurah she delegated tasks. "... Lets focus on what we need to do here and now. Nurah, move topside and inform Irabeth of the goings on. Suggest to her that its time we bring in some troops and do a serious sweep to ferret out what little resistance remains. Inform her that the three of us are checking the last parts of the dungeon level and she should proceed with caution in the upper levels. There may yet be a Succubi and an enemy Caster nearby, if they havent fled they are injured but extremely dangerous." Even though we cleared those areas, it doesn't mean that something hasn't reared its head in our absence.

"What was revealed here is to remain between the four of us, Aron and the rest need not know until things are settled." She indicates Nurah then. "So don't let it distract you and execute your duty as I have asked. We will talk once the fortress is fully ours and we don't have too many prying eyes or ears." Though she was possibly breaking her code, she was seeking to redeem Nurah. Because Nurah's soul was more important then anything else aside completing their mission here in Drezen.

"Anathya lets catch up to Julian, no doubt he's got himself in trouble again..." She picks up the battle standard, unsure of how to rekindle its faded might but she wasn't willing to abandon it here in the dark again.

With the defeat of the citadel's master, anything left here seemed like it had wised up and left - although your slow search did eventually reveal a small chamber near the torture rooms, empty and unused.

As for the Sword of Valor itself, it had likely hung in the main hall of the building. It was, after all, a banner. You couldn't feel any taint of evil on the banner itself. It wasn't showing its power right now, but it was still a righteous artifact of Iomedae herself, and corrupting such objects was - fortunately for you - near-impossible even at the best of times.

She looks at the well appointed room and nods to Julian. "Do with this place as you will. Be advised that we may have to use the warded cells to hold important guests, so be careful when that occurs."

Meiyun needs to see the Forge room and the other supplies as well...

Sheathing her blade she sighs lightly, their battle was over bu the night would be long. "Let's get topside, it's time to take the Citadel proper and start clearing it for the eventual revival of Drezen. Those supplies Julian found in the forge will go a long way in repairing the citadel as well." She turns on her heal and starts heading above ground, glad to leave the dungeons behind.

Julian was still adjusting to the end of his mutagenic elixirs lingering effects, his body cracked and popped as he walked due to his bones settling back to normal. He does however listen to Rowan and nods in agreement. "When that day comes I will avoid them if needed." Looking at the room he picks up any book of note and opens it, glancing at its contents before snapping it shut. The action of closing the book left his knuckles popping uncomfortably. With a grimace he responds to Rowan. "I will turn this place into a benefit to society, no matter if the cells are used or not. This old chamber can be reused as a place of research. Alchemical formula and research can be done here, hopefully I can produce useful items in bulk for the crusade." He smiled at the secret chamber, pleased to have such as it reminded him of a secret wish as a child. Which was finally fulfilled.

At Rowans statement of heading above ground he felt a sense of relief to see the broken sky again. Though he dread the coming night of little sleep and consolidating their gains, but it came with a sense of accomplishment. "Right, now the real fun begins... Lets get this night over with."

Mother, if only you could have lived to see this day. Humanity is taking back lands once lost to the abyssal invaders. We have finally won a victory for Golarion. He kisses his Ring of the North Star then. "Desna, guide my path in starlight lest we be lost in shadow." His quiet prayer was given as they made their way out of the bloody halls of Drezen's dungeon.

When Rowan reaches the upper levels she seeks out her fellow officers, after getting a status report she returns to the Dawnbringer's with the Sword of Valor in hand.

Depending on what happens before we get there I will make a follow up post. Thanks! :D

A few members of your army remained on guard - the rest came crowding around as you arrived with the Sword of Valor in hand, clearly interested in seeing one of the sacred objects of their goddess, something she had actually carried before her ascension. A faint glow appeared in the center of its sunburst as the knights crowded around, and as each one arrived, the light spread outwards until it reached the edge - and overflowed, sending a pulse of light through the surroundings. It quite literally hummed with energy - and, finally, you could say that you had successfully completed your mission.

The Sword of Valor has been restored! The Inheritor herself carried this crimson banner into battle during the Shining Crusade. An army commander who carries the Sword of Valor increases the DV and OM of her army by 4 against armies of undead or evil outsiders. Yet the Sword of Valor's greatest power lies not in offense but in defense. Mounted firmly upon an interior wall in a visible, public place, the Sword of Valor creates a 10-mile-radius area that bars demons and those who worship demons from using teleportation spells and effects and imparts on such creatures a -4 penalty to Armor Class and on all saving throws. Once per month while the banner is mounted on a wall, a worshiper of lomedae within 30 feet of the banner can use it to summon a planetar to protect the banner and its surroundings for 1 day. Any non-evil creature that sleeps within a 1-mile radius becomes immune to fear effects from demons and demon worshipers for 24 hours.

Incidentally, it can only be destroyed by Iomedae herself.

Assuming we are back at the heart of the camp and dually noted, will add the description into my sheet. Unless you are adding it to the campaign profile. ;).

Using Terendelev's Scale, of cloud walking, she rose up on a nimbus and presented the restored banner for the entire encampment to see. Holding it aloft as she addressed the Dawnbringers, her companions and prisoners alike. "Behold, Brothers and Sisters! The Sword of Valor is restored and back in righteous hands! Though we were given a perilous quest to recover the Citadel Drezen we triumphed over the odds! The sacrifice of our fallen was not in vain!" She was letting the Sword of Valor hang proudly in the chaotic winds as her voice rang clearly above the assembled army. "Today we are victorious over the minions of the 'Wound! We have struck a blow to the demon armies! We come away with new comrades, recovered that which was lost and more!" As she spoke she looked to Jestak, Soltengrebbe and Meiyun in the crowd. She held the Rosarious of the Inheritor as she said the rest of her words, a smile spreading across her face. "Let us give thanks to Iomedae and the gods of light for this momentous day, for the courage and resolve of all of you! For without you, this day would not have come! Be proud of your accomplishment, your sacrifice and your bravery!"

She held her free arm out as she thanked them all personally from atop the Nimbus. Though her voice took on a personal and hardened tone. "We must keep the flame of hope in this broken land alive and preserve this victory for our children, for this is the last best hope for all of Golarion. If we falter now, we will be sentencing them to face the last step into a thousand years of darkness!" She thrusts a fist into the air then as she issued a Rallying call to the troops. "Together we will prevent this! Together we can hold the line and push them back! Mile after mile, through dark grottos and over mountains we will push them back my comrades! We will win! So Please continue to lend us your strength to restore this Citadel for the hard fight ahead!"

That said, the victory had hardly been a solo effort - even Anathya's injuries may have served the greater good, for who knew what would have happened if Rowan had been the one so weakened by the undead? To sacrifice your own health in order to help another was, in many cultures, the very definition of goodness.

Still... the roar of noise as the Dawnbringers cheered was enough to shake the citadel itself, and they didn't hesitate to get to work. The first order of business was to get the Sword of Valor hung up in the keep (and there was no shortage of volunteers) - its properties were an incredible defense against demon incursions, since any of them would have to come at the city the long way, giving your force plenty of time to prepare. In the days that followed, work began on repairing the citadel and cleaning out what taint remained. Meiyun was the first to start examining the forge - and eventually noted that it was possible to render it dormant (hard - you needed access to both Dispel Evil and Dispel Chaos) or completely shift its evil properties around and redeem it (harder, but still possible to do after it had been rendered dormant).

A few days after that, the first true reinforcements for the city arrived - nearly two thousand crusaders and workers, sent by Queen Galfrey to assist in rebuilding the area and fortifying your defenses. They had a number of messages for you as well... most notably one from Queen Galfrey herself.

You weren't the only ones who'd received messages, though... Horgus Gwerm had come along with the new forces in order to lend his expertise, and documentation noted that he was being installed as the treasurer. Sosiel had been installed as the High Priest of the city, to tend to its spiritual needs, and immediately mentioned something about turning the chapel on Paradise Hill into a multi-denominational temple. Anevia was stepping into the role as Spymaster, while Aravashnial was more focused on rebuilding the Riftwardens, starting with the creation of a new safe house. Aron Kir was being installed as the Warden.

All of these were interesting... but paled in comparison to Irabeth's expression when she opened her letter. "I..." she whispered. It didn't take long for the letter to be passed around. The message there was simple.

By Order of the Queen - Irabeth Tirablade, you are appointed the standing ruler of Drezen, effective immediately. The Heroes of Drezen will be needed for other tasks, and I cannot think of anyone more suitable for this job than you. Support them as you can, and Iomedae's blessings be with you, my Sister. -Galfrey

Drezen has been liberated, and has become a large town - stats are in the campaign tab. Unfortunately, decades of war have left their mark, and the place is still ruined... you'll have to work to rebuild the place! This makes use of the Ultimate Campaign rules - brush up on those on the SRD if you need to - and your goal is to reach 60 Recovery Points in order to remove the Ruined disadvantage. Recovery Points can be earned as follows:

Construct building: 1 RP per 500 gp value of completed building
Craft magic/mundane item: 1 RP per 1,000 gp value of finished item (only if it's donated to the cause - note that Meiyun can handle this if you give her funds)
Donating gold: 1 RP per 2,000 gp
Heal others: 1 RP per day spent doing so
Recruit for organization: 1 RP per 500 gp value of completed organization

Anathya, the city's spellcasting limit is high enough to cure your ability drain, and Sosiel has provided that to you free of charge. Future services will require payment, of course. XD

I'd like to start off with a one-week block in which you tell me what you do during each of the days. ^^ Let me know if you have any questions.

When she had come off the Nimbus, she handed the Sword of Valor to Irabeth and smiled. "Can I ask that you put this back in its rightful place?" Her request was simple and one that she was sure her Sword Sister would love to have the honor of. She'd not ask her to do something tedious, she wanted the commander of the army to be the very example needed, her and Anevia were people to be respected for sure. With the Sword of Valor in truted hands she looked to Anathya and squeezing her shoulders gently. "Without your sacrifice most of all, this victory may not have come to pass. Thank you again Anathya, for your bravery and you Julian, for your patience." The last part was part joke and serious comment, though she gave Julian a small smile, confident that had he come to aid her she wouldn't have been unappreciative.

She looks to Nurah then, her manner patient and kind. "Well timed throw as well Nurah, they never saw it coming. Remember, I will need a full debrief from you later." She gives Nurah a smile, her words kind as she showed she wasn't going to out her in front of the army.

In the days that followed.

Julian, you need to update the Campaign Loot Sheet before I can make any decisions on what she will do. Though healing and spending money on the restoration project are both high on her priority list.

GM Rednal - Day 1
She will spend part of the day healing others and setting up the rooms at night. She will have her meeting with Nurah before the others have arrived as well.

Diplomacy - Other Officers in her plans for Staunton's old room area and adjoining rooms: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (15) + 19 = 34

As things were being consolidated she made sure that the first area they secured was what had to have been Staunton's personal quarters. The outer area with the fine furniture and large table would be used for briefings and strategy meetings as needed by the officers.

Anathya Rowan suggests to her companion Anathya that rooms could be shared so the officers could be close at hand and not scattered across the fortress in case of attack.

Julian are you going to have a room in the Officer area or in the Dungeon level like you were talking about?

So the three rooms that border the main officer room could be allocated to the following

F21 Staunton's room? - Rowan & Anathya
Room 2 (Second Largest - Anevia and Irabeth
Room 3 (smallest but perfect for) - Nurah
Room 4 (?) 10 x 25 room, move door and make a place for Aron and Sosiel to stay or important vistors or even an armory/vault. Or Anathya's room if she doesn't want to share one with Rowan. No issues, just seemed useless hooked to the other chamber haha. We can use the wall of stone to move the wall five more feet out and make the room 15 x 25 ft wide. A nice sized room haha.

I am thinking of buying/obtaining scrolls or services of Stoneshape / Wall of Stone to craft a fourth room out of the area adjoining this.

Once the rooms were secured and agreements made, she finds a moment to get everyone out of the room for a debrief with Nurah. One she makes personal as it would be only the two of them speaking on equal terms once more. She offers the Nurah some of the fine liquor in the cabinets as well to hopefully calm her nerves some if she appeared nervous. Rowan though bore no anger towards her, only a bit of disappointment. Mainly in her self for not doing more to redeem her sooner and remove the burden that Nurah must have been feeling. A burden she would see swiftly removed the first night of Drezen's rebirth. "Tonight Nurah I want you to know that I bear no ill will towards you. As I said before I am happy you proved me wrong and right all at once. I am disappointed that I hadn't done more to aid you before the final fight. She sat down, swirling a glass of strong spirits with hand idly as she recounted the offer she had made to the Barbarian woman."Now, Like Jestak, I will ask that you swear an oath to me and the cause. With the caveat that if you never lie to me again, no matter how brutal the truth would be, I will never be disappointed with you. If you fail I won't punish you for it. If you ever feel I have failed you then you are free to leave at your leisure with my blessing. I ask only that you leave the 'Wound and not get involved in this mess further. I will provide you with the funds necessary to live comfortably for some time. However..." Her words were sincere, she really wanted Nurah to realize that Rowan and the Dawnbringers were not like her former Masters, they were comrades and her equals. Not her betters. "... it is my hope you continue to fight for our cause, if ever you need help or counsel you can look to me or those you personally trust. Lastly I ask you continue to better yourself and I will do whatever I can to aid you in that endeavor."

Do I need Diplomacy Checks?

Rowan: Working on it and Working on it. Lol, Julian will be setting up shop in the dungeon level below. Perhaps Meiyun and him can get it on with the crafting stuff. Rowan can join in too and Anathya if she has some made skills. Time to put Myhic abilities to work! Post coming soon.

No Diplomacy check needed there, Rowan. XD Nurah's Helpful at the moment, and a check would only be needed to try and convince her to do something seriously dangerous or against her nature.

Anathya smiles at Rowan’s words, relieved to not feel as if she’d been nothing but a burden rather than an asset. ”Thank you……for everything.”

Anathya’s good with the rooming arrangements.

Day 1 Anathya takes time to settle in, helping to get the rooms ready and clear out anything necessary in the area. When Sosiel approaches her about healing the damage that was done to her very life force, it is with great gratitude that she accepts. Though restored, the young inquisitor spends much of the first day asleep, both body and mind needing respite from an absolutely harrowing ordeal. Even in the safety of the keep, her sleep is occasionally haunted by dreams of loss of control, watching as her hands and body attack those who had come to matter to her, teaching her the horrible price of forsaking the solitude that had been her only companion for years.

Julian nods to Rowan, glad the first of many battles was over and especially pleased they came out on top. At least this time...

Seeing the banner flare to life gave him renewed hope this venture could hold and the arrrival of volunteers and supplies was even more convincing. The last hurrah for Golarion. We fall here and it is over.

Stuff to do for a week:

I'd like to start off with a one-week block in which you tell me what you do during each of the days. ^^ Let me know if you have any questions.

Since my internet and work is being intermittent I will stick with a one day post for now as I get my head back into the game here. Apologies Rednal.

Julian politely declined a room, instead choosing the well appropriated room downstairs as his area of domain. He spends part of his first day donating gold to the cause, 2000 gp worth to aid in the efforts before moving to clearing out and consolidating the Drezen dungeon into a workable area. Since the well supplied room was in the torture chamber he decide to clear all the tools and such from that time into one of the storage areas and locked them away. Since he had no use for such barbaric tools.

He spent a good portion of the day setting up an alchemy lab, buying or making appropriately tables and generally unloading his goods gained over the course of the campaign. He takes the books out of the bag of holding along with other items they had acquired and adds them to the growing piles of what they would eventually gift out, sell or modify once the forge was purified.

At the end of the day, feeling restless he wandered back to the anti-magic cell where he assumed the prisoner that Staunton had been holding had escaped from and there he spent a good majority of the night looking over the carvings. Enjoying the sense of peace he found in that place and wondering what he would do upon meeting such a rare creature...

Day 2

Rowan, rises early, leaving Anathya to rest in the large bed as she straps on her gear for another day of aiding in the rebuilding of Drezen. Particularly in restoring the Citadel to a workable state. To do that she'd need Laborers, lots of them and not just the Dawnbringers.

She heads out to Paradise Hill and finds the largest of the intact buildings and proceeds to search it to see if it would suit her purpose. this Organization would be specifically meant to bring and provide laborer, guidance and engineering to Drezen. That way the city could recover more quickly, even if it cost her out of pocket in the beginning. For this though she sought to gather like minded individual's to create this organization. Utilizing her Leadership feat. :3

She starts off with the prisoners they had captured...

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 19 ⇒ (16) + 19 = 35

... where she attempts to sway them once more into joining their cause and abandoning those demon lords who had tossed them aside. She offers them work and pay, fair treatment as well and that if they had concerns she would do her best between adventurers to see them and settle issues. She spends a good amount of time assessing those who are legitimate, wishy washy and those who are legitimately lost souls.

Let me know what else I need to roll to determine how many joine her. Also what is a Half-Ore? Half-Orc? Maybe? Its the population tab of Drezen.

That Night

At night fall she gathers every officer of importance, even Meiyun is there and when they arrive she brings out the Oil of Life. Revealing this majestic boon given to them by their enemy. A truly priceless item. She holds it up for all of them to see, she handled it delicately. "The Oil of Life, one use, but more powerful then we will ever see again..."

"We acquired this item from Staunton Vaughn, I have pondered long and hard on how best to use this..." She pulls out a scale of Terendelev's then, a faint glimmer of moisture in her eye as she continued speaking and should it to everyone. "I wish to raise Terendelev, to bring her back after she gave the greatest sacrifice to protect us. However I cannot do so with out your support, I would assume that using such an item requires a unanimous vote. What say all of you? What are your thoughts? Especially since this item once used is expended, but it has the power to bring our greatest defender for the cause of defending Drezen. For that I say 'Yay'." She sets the Oil of life back in Meiyun's hands. She looks to Drezen's aster smith, nodding to her. "Everyone seated here has a say, everyone. This is not a decision to make lightly." Even if it means we lose the power of her scales, I will accepted that, especially if it means to feel her living scales under my hands as she is reborn. Iomedae be praised we have this chance. I Pray I am making the right decision.

Little change to my above post

Julian will clear out the area where the shadow demon had once resided, intent on turning the open chamber into something more useful. For that he purposefully set off the traps and began dismantling anything dangerous in the area as best he could. Soliciting help only in places where he could not handle it.

Day 2

He continues with making his new area of operation, keeping only those items that were of interest and removing, selling or storing the rest where it wouldn't get in his way. He will not single minded in this though, instead spending only some of his waking hours taking care of this before setting out to aid in helping the injured and the homeless. Healing those he could and providing succor for those without. He focused all of his alchemical goods for that day

That night, along with the assembled officers he listened to Rowan's words and nodded at the end. He raised his hand in support of the idea. "Yay. Though I suggest we do some prep work ahead of time..."

Day 3

Julian rises, continuing his work in the lower areas, clearing and removing items and smirking at the statue of the cities former ruler as he walked by it. That day he dispelled the darkness over the pit below.

Once he had cleared the lower levels some more, using his spells to aid him in this endeavor. He went topside again, gathering more materials for building the rooms in the dungeons and spending another day aiding the injured and providing succor for those in need. Moving along the areas of Southbank and bearing witness to what these people were going through. He gravitated to his own especially, looking to them to possibly join him in making goods for the benefit of the city.

He spread the good word of Desna and tried converting these misbegotten of Drezen to her word. By the end of the day he was hungry, not like the souls he had aided though, and the food tasted like ash in his mouth. All he could hope for is that they listened.

Day 4

Another day of solid work, moving more of the supplies he needed to build his alchemical lab in the dungeons of Drezen. It was looking better with each day, though he still had a lot of work ahead to getting it done.

Once the first few hours of dawn had passed he went out and visited Northbank. Healing, providing succor and spreading the good word of Desna was his mission. He hoped they would listen, but his voice was far rougher that day. His religious wisdom though was beyond reproach.

Today he visited Southbank again, this time with Soltengrebbe in tow, he brought his potions and more food for the people in need. Soltengrebbe was there to remind the people that Drezen was on the rise and those that defended it were more then serious, they were strong.

Day 7

With Rowan's permission Julian begins the construction of his underground Alchemy lab. Its future use would hopefully be a boon to Drezen and he hoped to recruit from among the brightest of the broken cities population. Though he hoped it was fellow Tieflings or freaks such as himself. Their natural resistances and aptitudes made them star candidates as assistants. He even had an eye on the Aasimar's within Drezen, hoping to recruit at least a handful to make weapon blanches and useful potions for Drezen's survival.

If an underground Alchemy lab isn't acceptable within Drezen then consider hi utilizing a burned out shell as his alchemy base.

Need to find costs for bedrooms, they aren't list in PFSRD but I was thinking four assistant's would be a decent team of misfit alchemists for this idea.

Alchemy Lab construction is 1940 gp + (4 additional rooms Cost: ????) so possibility of 4+ RP points if it counts.

Was it possible to have acclimatized so well to constant battle that she wasn’t much good at anything else?
When Rowan suggests using the invaluable oil to Resurrect Terendalev, she gives her response enthusiastically. Day 3 - Anathya / Julian Included in text

She used her magic to help in removing the debris and restoring the citadel to working order. She looks into acquiring the services of a talented spellcaster, possibly Aravashnial, to help cast Stone Shape and wall of stone to start changing the inside of the Citadel. It would also turn the debris into useful items, such as stones to reconstruct walls and such.

She spends the day touring the ruins of drezen and assessing the surviving population, any Aasimar's are immediately brought under her wing. Especially those that had suffered unduly under the demons reign of terror. She'd restore her celestial blooded brethren at any cost. She made rooms available within the Citadel, in fact she ask Irabeth to aid her in the construction of a hospital ward.

That night back at the room she sits down, scroll at the ready, she nods to Anathya and Julian then. "I will cast and I need you to protect me. I don't believe anything will go wrong but I can't be sure." Once things were decided, completely trusting Anathya, she casts the scroll...

She continues to work with Meiyun and the Aasimar's that had joined them, attempting to make useful items for their troops

Day 7

She breaks off to see how the construction of the Guildhall and the recruitment of the Labor Union was going, actively ensuring both kept moving. Knowing that soon they would be on the move again.

Checking on the Building of the Guildhall + Bunks
Actively Recruiting (7 laborers, 1 manager, 2 clerks, for labor union. She will pay for their services.

The days were busy ones - with everything from spending gold on supplies (since the city hadn't had time to normally make them available through taxation yet - not that most minded paying, but the whole city was damaged and many things were in short supply) to clearing out rubble. It didn't take too long for Julian to start working on establishing a full alchemist's workshop, and Meiyun lent her help there since the Corruption Forge had yet to be properly shut down or redeemed (and the structure was mostly complete, so most of its cost went to simply getting the right supplies). Meanwhile, laborers had gotten started on the Guildhall that Rowan had ordered, and Irabeth had grinned widely when she heard about that one. Julian's recruitment efforts were moderate at best - the worship of Iomedae was strong among most, and only a few ultimately converted, mostly from among the ranks of prisoners.

More serious was the plan for the Oil of Life - and the divination that went with it. The answer came in the form of a sphere of golden light that spoke in a hundred voices (young and old, male and female, human and perceptibly not) at one time. "No." the voice(s?) said calmly. "Terendelev says that she was old for her kind to begin with - and fears that her return might summon the Storm King to your walls before you are ready to face him. The best thing she can do to help you is to remain with Apsu, and so she does not consent to resurrection. She bids you to save the treasure you have seized, and use it for one with a full life ahead of them." The light vanished as the divination ended.

She barley held back the sadness that glinted n her eyes as she spoke. "Apsu is blessed to have her, please tell her we say goodbye." As the light fades she wipes away a tear. "She will be missed." She rose to her feet, kissing the scale before allowing it to hang from her neck once more. if my time comes, I will not neglect to return and do battle again.

She returns the Oil of Life to Meiyun's care. She was discouraged, but this great setback wouldn't stop them. She lets Irabeth know and retires for the evening, to a long and sleepless night.

Guildhall and Bunks cost 3060 GP to have constructed, if I am reading this right. It'll take about a month or more/less to build depending on the condition of the building she is taking over. Deducting it from my sheet now.

Since the forge is Corrupted still she will work on getting that rectified. So she was probably helping Julian work on his alchemy lab. The 6 she was going to spend isn't expended yet.

She spends the day recruiting more individuals for the Labor Union, just because the Guildhall was being constructed didn't mean it wasn't time to get the word out. This Union would make a big difference in Drezen's recovery.

A bureaucrat/accountant, a master Mason, an Acolyte, two drivers and a group of laborers. Ten in all, she looked into buying wagons or carts for the movement of materials across Drezen as well. She focused her recruitment efforts on those of dwarven lineage, aiming to start the Union off strongly and let it grow over time. It would be by no means be exclusive, she even tries to recruit half-orc laborers if possible.

As the day starts to darken she heads back to the Citadel and sends orders out to get others to help her with her side project. She researches how to change the forge over to their side, searching whatever notes they had salvaged from the Citadel and showing them to Sosiel and Aravashnial to look over when they arrive the notes. To hopefully to determine a way to change the forge or at least make it inert. "These notes were captured from the traitor Staunton Vaughn's room. Lets use this to try and turn this vile forge into something useful... Or destroy it."

Day 9

Work continues on the Forge, she willing to expend what money she needed to to make it work. Meiyun needed the area to be converted over to her and soon.

Let me know what happens with the rolls and what else is needed.

Once she reached a point of frustration she dismisses everyone so they can clear their heads, requesting they return tomorrow so that they can continue their research.

Healing those she can while running what had become a routine patrol through the streets, Anathya gets an idea of how secure things are, giving advise where it ius needed on shoring up the newly liberated city’s defenses.
When he has a moment, she finds Julian in his workshop suggesting that in his research, he look into alchemical means of ensuring that their weapons would be able to harm fiends that might only be susceptible to less common materials such as silver and cold iron.
The time at the end of the day spent talking to Rowan, soon becomes a feature of her day that means a lot to the inquisitor. After spending years in isolation, hunting alone, often surrounded by nothing but enemies, the regular warmth of human connection becomes a lifeline of normalcy for her. An opportunity to for once not see the entire world around her as a continuous battlefield, easing some of the innate paranoia that had built up over time.

Day 10-14
Still unsure of her place in some ways, and more comfortable focusing on a particular task at hand rather than the larger picture, Anathya devotes herself wherever needed, often going along with Rowan, as much for her safety as any other reason. Their Ascendant leader was very much a high priority target of the enemy and Anathya would be literally damned before she saw anything happen to her because they were caught unawares.

In the process of keeping an eye toward security, she also interacted with the people, lending her own limited healing and restorative talents where needed, while reading the tone and attitudes of the people and seeking sign of anything untoward/
