Cool, :)
I'm passing the time by reading the backlogs, getting a feel for the existing characters.

@Danath: Gestalt exists, in part, to allow small groups to cover important party roles. ^^ There will definitely be an aspect of challenge, though - WotR is infamously underpowered, and I plan to fix that. That said, your class combination looks fine. ^^

@Hotaru: Since you're 2nd Level, I'm willing to accept up to 1000 GP in equipment, following the suggested breakdown (25% on weapons, 25% on armor and protective devices, 25% on other magic items, 15% on disposable items like potions, scrolls, and wands, and 10% on ordinary gear and coins). Oh, and don't worry about stuff like food - I'm not going to make you keep track of that unless there's some ability that requires it. XD

Then add:
Ordinary breastplate (it'd take 35% for masterwork).
Sling (costless), 10 bullets.
And a War-Trained Light Horse named Libi.
Add Sleeves of Many Garments.
So 610.1gp + bullets spent, all told. (That's assuming she gave the studded leather away. :))

The sleeves aren't really ideal... but as a Paladin/Ranger of Iomedae, she'd lean very strongly towards maintaining her appearance for the situation at hand. Given that Iomedae is one of the gods of nobility, she'd need to maintain proper decorum in the event she was to meet with lords or the like.

Also, please understand: I'm not repurposing the character out of laziness, but out of love. I really do feel that WotR is a better fit for her than Kingmaker had been. As a point of fact, the non-paladin Ary allowed her fear to stop her from going to the world-wound in her original Lore, quoting a bit of Iomedaen scripture to make her feel better about going 'home' instead.

Gm Rednal

Roger that then that would be the route I pursue if chosen.

Shadow Lodge

I need an Oracle curse, and I don't want to pick it myself, so GM Rednal, if you would please select the curse for my perspective character I would appreciate it.

This is my character currently a work in progress.

Rowan's background:

Ascendant Rowan

Born a native of the land of Sarkoris, her mother was from the City known as Dyinglight and Rowan never knew much about her father. Save for the fact he was a rather charismatic adventurer at the time and a servant of Aroden when the god was still alive. Her mother however was a proud Kellid Druid and raised Rowan in the ways of the druidic society up until the time of the death of Aroden and the coinciding opening of the abyssal portal, which, became known as the Worldwound today.

She was around thirty years old, a budding teenager when the battle for Sarkoris came to a head in the final battle at Storasta. The same battle when she last saw her mother alive before she was shipped off to Gundrun for her own safety. The Song of Sarkoris is something Rowan has come to hum at times in remembrance of her mother’s brave stand against overwhelming odds among the remaining witches and tribal druids of her fallen people.

However her caravan was attacked on its way to Gundrun and she was captured along with many other youths by demon worshipping cultists. She was forced to take part in a demonic ritual. But whatever the ritual’s purpose may have been, it didn’t work out the way her captors envisioned—rather than corrupting her soul, she absorbed the ritual’s energy and made it her own. she doesn't remember how she escaped that vile place but in dreams she remembers calling out and being answered by something beyond her reckoning. She remembered a golden light and... a Flaming Sword. Ever since, she's been haunted by strange nightmares about the ritual, and has long felt that the energies it bathed her in have changed her.

After her narrow escape she arrived in Gundrun but she didn’t remain for long after word of Storasta’s fall and, the inevitable death of her mother at the hands of demonic forces, reached her. The news saddened her at first but inevitably drove her to action. When Iomedaian paladins swept through the region, the Sword of Iomedae called to her in a way she couldn't understand at the time. These paladins were calling for volunteers for the first crusade she was quick to join their ranks. Being underage however, she was sent to Lastwall for training and despite her best efforts was unable to secure a position higher than squire until reaching adulthood. Because of the delay’s she missed the opportunities’ to join the initial crusades against the worldwound.

Around the time of the second crusade she was granted a transfer to an outpost in Nerosyan to study topics dealing with demons and their origins in an attempt to better understand her planar enemies. She attempted, in vain, to find information on the ritual she was exposed to years prior. She spent many years in Nerosyan until she eventually transferred to Inquisition in Kenebras. However she worked far harder in aiding in curbing the bloodlust during the fourth crusade and minimizing the innocent lives lost due to paranoia or lack of real investigation. Her efforts met with limited success as the Inquisition wielded far more power than a young paladin and she found herself at odds with her superiors. She was assigned to guard duty at the city gates until the crusade winded down to its disgraceful close.

As the fourth crusade petered out she turned to learning the magic that was utilize in combating these evils in her spare time. Both facets left her in awe, divine magic and arcane were two sides of a somewhat similar coin. Although they were approached in different manners. Of which she was very interested in learning and hopefully utilizing in her research. It was during this research she found the calling as an Oracle of Iomedae and sought to ensure the goddesses acts were not forgotten among the disillusioned and spiritually crushed crusaders of Kenebras.

She often sought out the Silver Dragon Guardian of the city, seeking answers to questions she thought the dragoness knew and planned to, overtime, create a partnership with this powerful guardian. Lest the dragon, like many stalwart defenders before it, fell into apathy as the cause yet again wained from lack of success.

Recently, the energies she was exposed to have started to change— as if she finally managed to come to terms with her past and turned the ritual’s aftereffects to her advantage, following the old adage of what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. However despite her best efforts and years of research she has been unable to learn more about the ritual or what it was for, but the question lingered in the back of her mind to this day. This nagging instilled in her a fury against demonkind.

All of her efforts nearly exploded in her face when the city came under attack during Armasse. The death of the draconic guardian broke her heart and the deaths of so many innocence’s sent her into a rage she hadn’t felt since being forced to Gundrun. She vowed to make her stand in Kenebras, no matter the outcome and weather this demonic incursion to its end. The energies from the demonic ritual from years ago further bolster her resolve as she turned the energy she absorbed that day against the demonic incursion in Kenebras...

Haunted is great all-around for the spells it gives you, though its drawback is fairly painful if you're the type to use wands and such. You can also go dual-cursed - taking Tongues or Legalistic as the second curse tends to work out fairly well (although the theme of the latter may not be quite right for this campaign), especially with the special revelations you can receive.

And now she has a profile~

:) Gestalt is fun~ The combos can get crazy interesting and as I notice only one PrC period right?

So here she is, from the above info put into one place. Will pursue the build I spoke of above and go for a well rounded caster/frontliner. Probably pursue Item Creation if I'm not too feat starved but I think I will be. Edit: although I see one of the party plans on that already. which is great~ :D

Either way it'll be fun!

@rowan: you can have PrCs on more than one side but not at the same time.

As a note my character gets four item creation feats as bonus feats (already have brew potion, craft wondrous comes next level)
I do wish that you left the party total at four like you originally started with, but that's fine.
As a note I'm swapping weapon focus for extra traits to get

traits selected:

Ancestral Weapon

Source People of the River pg. 7 (Amazon)
Requirement(s) Numeria
You have inherited a sacred tribal weapon wielded by your forebears since the days before the Rain of Stars, and you were trained in its use from a young age. Select either cold iron or silver. You begin play with a masterwork melee weapon made of the material of your choice. You must be prof icient with this weapon, and its combined cost cannot exceed 500 gp. You gain a +1 trait bonus on attack rolls with weapons made of the selected material.
Blood of Dragons

Source Ultimate Campaign pg. 62 (Amazon)
Requirement(s) Any
Long ago, your ancestors’ blood mixed with that of dragons. Choose one of the following: gain a +1 trait bonus on Perception checks, gain low-light vision, or gain a +2 trait bonus on saving throws against effects that cause sleep or paralysis.

Ok, here is my tiefling sorcerer. To make him gestalt I will add barbarian to him. Will do the bloodrager the old fashioned way.

See background for his story. If you read HP Lovecraft he is a tormented Lovecraftian hero.

Shadow Lodge

Just remember you can't cast while ragin, and you generally can't cast while wearing armor.
Also he said two days, 48 hours, 3 miniutes ago so...

That's correct - recruitment is now closed, and I'll be making a decision a little later today. ^^

Shadow Lodge

I have pins and needles I am siting on
Question:
How does the party dwarf feel about a human worshiper of his deity?

As long as folk venerate him properly, Tarov doesn't care what race Torag's worshippers are. He's a very egalitarian fellow, but you should always assume he's going to act like a Toragian Paladin (ie: ends justify the means).

Shadow Lodge

Cool, I just figured the forgemaster fit well as a deity for my character to venerate, being a LN deity, and being the god of smiths.

Torag's LG. But yes, he is definitely the god of smiths.

Shadow Lodge

Typo sorry.
I do wish we would have two join because then we could have me and a paladin join
The two primary niches you lack are divine casting and trap breaking
In a pinch you can do without divine if you have other healing though. I have a d6 healing touch ability from my repair flesh machine smith thing, and I generally prepair 3 or four castings of cure light, and have a +10 to heal checks, we won't need restoration/raise dead/remove curse for a while.

Tier one: Perfect Aid, Advance, Mythic Combat Reflexes.
Tier two: Loyalty
Tier three: Confidence or Mythic Bond or Mythic Mercy. Feat probably to take one that I didn't pick. Possibly to take mythic paragon. Because it's awesome with perfect aid.

After that, I don't know. I plan to use my ranger bond to affect companions and take a neat cohort via loyalty, rather than having a companion as per normal. Ary will have decently solid healing from ranger and paladin overlap, and may take mythics for temporary hit points to the team and so on. I'm not sure whether to take paladin spells or take the warpriest blessing for sanctuary on allies (glory).

At tier one, she will always be able to use combat reflexes to aid adjacent AC, or to strike an enemy. She'll add 2+tier, and can surge that. She can still use standards to aid attack or saving throws or skills as well, for incredible boosts to the party. Seems really fun, as she'll constantly be making the party better at what they do.

Add in the tactical stuff from marshal, and the built in niceties of paladin and ranger, and I feel I've done a pretty good job of honoring Iomedae.

Any suggestions?

Shadow Lodge

What mythic feats are you lookin at? The first one I'm taking is eldritch heritage (nanite),

1 is combat reflexes. 3 is either extra power, or Mythic Paragon. Planning beyond 3, I think, is probably not a very good idea, because that's a -long- way off, and the characters will change beyond that. In fact, planning to two is kind of difficult. :P

I do like eldritch heritage, it's just such an amazing feat. I do plan to take the Iomedean Obedience at 3. The Deific Obedience feats are super neat and another of my favorites.

All right, after reviewing the submissions we've received, I'm glad to welcome Rowan to the table - honestly, the combination of magic and knowledge skills is what the party needs most right now. XD I'll have a few notes for you in the discussion thread, and PM you the details on when and where to make an entrance.

The rest of you, thank you for applying, but don't lost hope just yet - I'm thinking of putting up a recruitment for a higher-level game sometime in the near future, and you're more than welcome to apply to that if I move forward with it. ^^

Just for the record, Tarov is built around AoOs and buffing friendlies with Aid Another, while keeping enemies focused on him. So your concept might overlap with mine a bit much.

Strange. I didn't see any of that in your build. :) I never meant to step on your toes, either way.

Good luck, Rowan.

There goes my third attempt at a Rednal game... curses...

Shadow Lodge

Congrats Rowan, have fun for us ;)
Aah well, I can try again if he or one of the others die/quit or you guys decide you need a trap person (it amuses me that you are dealing with a trap right at this very moment)
If none of those things happen I at least have a backup character for your rise of the rune lords game, in case Cale'anon dies

Thanks for selecting me and good luck everyone in your future endeavors! I will hold off in applying in other gestalt games as two games is my limits for now~
