Cole has a flask but they have a range increment of 10' and since it is a thrown object a max range of 5 times so 50. The thing is 60 up so not in range. Also would be at -8 to hit if it was in withing 50. Only have one flask. If it comes down then yeah will probably try and catch it on fire :)

Hey everyone, just a heads up that I'll be out of town this weekend (7/5 through 7/8). I'm going to Canada so I expect to still have internet, but there's a good chance I won't be able to post as often as I normally try to. So if I disappear during that time, that's why.

Question -- is the signal rocket the equivalent of a skyrocket firework? Wanting to know for possible crafting. (DC 25, which currently would mean I have to roll a 15+ ... might want to get another rank or two. Maybe have some help. ;) )


It does not say. It just calls it a signal rocket. The skyrocket firework does make sense as an equivalent, however.

The first book of the AP was published in 2011. Ultimate Equipment was published later, which is where the skyrocket was first published (or was it the Adventurer's Armory? Either way).

Well, though I haven’t made any rolls for Hel, I suspect Timeon is too afraid to run away and tell someone, not if Grumblejack is right there. And Timeon’s our brake on Grumblejack, basically; put them both in a cave or hidden camp, check up on them via familiar every few days, and no problem. Not being wanted, if/when he becomes truly loyal instead of fearful, he’ll be a good person to send into stores and such.

But like I wrote ICly, it’s Sir Gallen’s decision; he’s Timeon’s commander.

That is an assumption. If Timeon has any lingering sympathies for Mitra, Talingarde citizenry, or his *own family*, he has reason to turn on the knot. Until he commits past the point of no return, he is a risk and should be judged accordingly.

Well done, everyone. Timeon is now yours. His alignment can be adjusted to Lawful Evil. He doesn't quite yet serve Asmodeus, but he will be a loyal follower.

I'll continue RP'ing Timeon going forward, but Gallen, you now have control of leveling up his character. You may choose which heroic class he takes once he can take his second level, keeping to the restrictions of the Squire feat.

I am reminded to say -- I've decided that Hel's statement about the worship of other good gods being illegal is an out-and-out mistake on her part -- bad information, possibly fed to her by her 'adoptive parents'. Honestly, the biggest reason the AP says Mitra is worshiped by everyone in Talingarde is because the writer didn't want to have to create a whole pantheon, and Golarion deities are not part of the third-party publisher's licensing.

Still, we'll eventually get to the point where Hel sees someone who doesn't worship Mitra, and then we can have fun with it.

A loot list -- absolutely everything we can strip from the ship and people, from weapons and armor to ship supplies, tar, rope, etc. -- and whether or not we can find a cave is all we need to keep going for a while. ;)


D'oh. I'd never thought to check to see if Diamondust/Demlin's other aliases were active. They are; he's running a game (two games?) of Way of the Wicked. :P Have sent him a message, though.

I actually already spoke to Demlin's player about it, and they said they had already reused the Demlin alias and didn't have the character written down anywhere. It's only one game - I'm in it - the other is an old one that I kept running until they came back, and we switched over to a new game.

Speaking of games, I have a couple of announcements. In about five weeks or so, my wife will be giving birth to our first child. This is why I've been doing work on my house to get things ready. While it would be foolish to assume nothing will change regarding things, I did want to say a few things:

First, I will NOT be ending this game. I absolutely intend to see this game through to the end. If my current PbP load proves to be too much, I have games I am a player in that I will drop out of first.

Second, there will likely be a slowdown from the posting rate prior to last week, simply because I'm not sure how much time I'll have to post and how much energy I'll have. Things will keep going, they just might be a little slow for a bit.

Third, combat may get a bit more Theater of the Mind-ey. Most of the maps that are previously published by FMG are 10' squares, as opposed to 5' squares. I've re-made some of them to be more useful, but might not have time to do so in the future.

The second announcement is that someone has reached out to me about stepping in as a sixth player, and I might be able to work them in in Aldencross. I'm working with them on a character, and we'll see how we can do with bringing them in.
