I'm going to give you guys time to discuss what you've learned about the town so far, and then I'd like to fast forward to rumor gathering in the evening.
I’m not going to get to a computer today, so consider this an early US Thanksgiving break. Happy Thanksgiving to those who celebrate.
I will update again Friday.

Hey all,
So, with the holidays coming up, I wanted to schedule out a holiday break.
Due to events with family, I'm going to say we're on a holiday break from December 25 - January 1. I may get a post or two in there, but otherwise I will probably be too busy to do so. During that time, there will be no posting expectation, and we'll get things rolling again on January 2. Sound good?

Well, we sure as hell wouldn't be inducting Barhold into our plans, but even a hint could prove disastrous. I may not be available to post at all tomorrow.
Cole just laid out a good plan - definitely something you should discuss more and try to refine. However, it's not a "what are you doing today" plan, and that's what I need right now.
This part of the AP is very "you" driven - you need to tell me what you're doing so I can set up and resolve the scenarios for you. The Inn is pretty much deserted during the day, except for a lunch rush, but you can always try to gather information around town or do something else, if you wish. Some suggestions:
1) Gather Information about any rumors you have discovered.
2) Explore the area surrounding the town.
3) Do some more external reconnaissance on the keep.
I know Cole arranged to meet with the Reeve to view Osterman Manor with Hel today, so if there's nothing else anyone wants to do at the moment, I'll move ahead to that.

Thank you GM. I know we would like to get our new party member. Assuming we kill her escort to Brandiscar we are awaiting that time and gathering info it seems.
One of the priorities is dealing with the captains. We need to gather more information about them to plan.

Is there any usable gold that I've overlooked? Lutor would have to leave without copying or buying much of anything as is.
Well, you've got a chest of 8000 gp that was paid to Kargeld. You could see if the party will give you some of that, depending on what they want to do with it.
I also don't think you've sold the walrus ivory, seal pelts, or narwhal horn yet.

HERE is our current loot page; notice in the distribution tab the 'knot pool' section, which is where our current reserves are listed (6,666, semi-appropriately enough). While we have not yet sold a whole bunch of stuff, I wasn't entirely certain there was somewhere to sell the arms and armor (or how well it'd be taken until we got 'a shipment in'), and we're not entirely certain (or at least agreed) as to the value of the ivory and narwhal horn.

From one SCAdian to another, 'Have fun in the battles!!' ;)

Cole, enjoy your time fighting a war in Mississippi. I'm gonna get Wesh drunk.
Since Wesh is playing a drinking game, I'm going to post my house rules for heavy drinking.
1) After each drink, attempt a Fortitude save with a DC based on the amount of alcohol in the drink.
2) If you pass, there is no effect. If you fail, you take a -1 penalty on all rolls involving Intelligence and Dexterity. You also increase the Fortitude DC for all subsequent drinks by 1. This penalty is cumulative for each failed saving throw, and the DC increase is cumulative for each failed saving throw.
3) After a number of drinks equal to your Constitution modifier, the Fortitude DC increases by 1. This happens every time you have a number of drinks equal to your Constitution modifier.
4) Alcohol counts as poison, therefore any bonus to saves that applies against poison applies to the save for alcoholic drinks, as does immunity to poison.
5) If you fail a total number of saves equal to your Constitution modifier, you gain the sickened condition. If you fail a number of saves equal to double your Constitution modifier, you gain the nauseated condition. You can make a DC 18 Fortitude save to ignore the effects of the nauseated condition for a "round".
6) If you fail a total number of saves against drinking equal to three times your Constitution modifier, you fall unconscious.
The goal is to replicate the effects of heavy drinking, while not penalizing classes and races that get bonuses against poison. Admittedly, this does favor classes with a high Fortitude save and Dwarves, but I think that makes sense over all.
As for playing darts, each time a player is up, they throw three darts. Competitors stand 10 feet away from the dart board, and each makes three ranged attack rolls. The dartboard has three rings plus the bullseye, and the result of each ranged attack roll determines the number of points:
10 or less = 0 points
11-13 = 1 point
14-16 = 2 points
17-19 = 3 points.
20+ = 5 points
