In terms of strategy, who would be on board with being Enlarged? It's the only buff I pedal in at the moment, and not everyone likes it, so I like to ask.

Laufey Gemshrike |

I've actually never had it cast on a character of mine so I'm game. But, Laufey does have trust issues where magic is involved. How about after she knows Rasmorn better and has seen the spell at work a couple of times?

Isabella Monstrance |

I volunteer as tribute!
Won't that be really bad for hitting with your bow? You'll get a size penalty and a Dex penalty.

Yasu the Blue Hood |

Ehh... In the long run, no. Typically because I hit like I'm shooting freight trains. But yeah, I would take a penalty, but in like 2 levels it won't be much of a hindrance.

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

Also, ranged weapons don't benefit at all from being Enlarged, because the arrows revert to normal size as soon as they leave your person, so you would not get to increase your damage dice at all. It will only be effective in melee, and all it will do is increase your short sword damage from 1d6 to 1d8. Now, if you can grab a reach weapon, particularly if you can already use a Large reach weapon, we could easily see you threatening a tremendous amount of space.

Makes sense to me. I actually just used it for the very first time in a PbP game a couple of weeks ago, and it was awesome, so looking forward to doing that again. The guy in question was a Soulknife, who started the battle with a 1d8 blade, then changed it to a 2d6 hammer, which enlarged to a 3d6 reach weapon - suddenly, the DR on that beastie wasn't nearly so bad :D

Since i can use large weapons, that would be great. I am not against melee.

What is the total threatened space of a Large person, wielding a Huge weapon with Reach? I'm not sure, but it sounds fantastic. We definitely need to find you a big tree trunk or something to swing at people :D

Laufey Gemshrike |

Once Laufey has a few things that are coming down the road: Disruptive, Spellbreaker, Combat Reflexes, enlarged will be very good for her. She already has a long spear, but didn't bring it today.
Enlarged + self-hasted + self-blurred + disruptive + spellbreaker + combat reflexes + reach should be very wicked!

Yasu the Blue Hood |

It would be at least 15 feet.

Isabella Monstrance |

Sorry if the business of equipping Isabella is slowing things down - it just didn't make sense to me that she'd go to a festival day in armor and with heavy weapons!

Talia Burrows |

No worries, I thought it was a reasonable touch myself. Talia was in her gear because she doesn't have much else to wear and isn't a local.

Hey everyone: I am currently hosed by the massive internet service outage. I can update on my phone, but it is extremely tedious and I'll only be doing so if absolutely necessary (I.e. a round of combat).

GM Phntm888 |

Paizo's website actually wouldn't load for me for a brief bit. Everyone's getting hammered.
For those who are unaware, it's a massive DDoS attack on Dyn, on of the main internet DNS companies, and its affecting a lot of websites (Twitter, Reddit, Spotify, New York Times, etc.). If posting slows down while this is occurring, I will be very understanding.

Wenona Ordescu |

Y'all, I literally whooped aloud when I saw that crit come up.
A single tear rolled down my face, such was the beauty that confronted me.

Laufey Gemshrike |

51 points? Wow. Just wow. I have never seen anything like that before. There's nothing left of that goblin to even kick, it's completely atomized!

GM Phntm888 |

Scythe crits are brutal. There's a reason it's limited to only on a nat 20 without magic or feats. Combine it with Strength and Power Attack...
I've got a friend who made a scythe-wielding Ogre chieftain as a bad guy for his party. Without crits, he dropped the ranger completely. If he'd crit...someone would have had a bad day.

Loot can be discussed in character or out of character, and someone can grab whatever they want as long as the rest of the players agree. If no one wants something, we can assume it gets sold at the most convenient opportunity, and I'll convert it to the relevant gold piece value.
If two people want the same thing, I'll let you guys decide who gets it. Some suggestions:
1. Each player can bid from their share of gold pieces for the item.
2. You can create a "waiver list" where each person is on the list in order of how many magic items they have. Each person gets the opportunity to claim an item. If you pass, it goes to the next person to choose to claim. If you claim it, you drop to the bottom of the list. If no one claims it, it gets sold.
3. You determine a random order everyone gets to pick items in each time, by rolling a die.
Or anything else you want to do.

Just so you guys know, I may be somewhat spotty over the next few days. I will likely still be able to post somewhat, but I don't know how much. Will be back to normal Monday.

Wenona Ordescu |

Not much of an issue, but today's been pretty busy for me. I'm digging the liter table-talk at the moment, I just might not be able to post until late tonight!

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

I was updating my character sheet for new daily spells, and it got me started to thinking materialistically again :). Had a few questions:
1) Did I successfully identify that vial that the goblin leader was carrying? I made a Perception roll of 17, identifying potions with Perception is DC15+spell level
2) GM, you have not created a loot sheet yet, right? Are we going with the Waiver idea? I thought that sounded pretty good.
3) Do we get to add any gold for the other loot from yesterday that we presumably sold?

Wenona Ordescu |

Sorry my interaction has been sparse. A fair bit of chaos has reared it's ugly head for me that last few days. Things are dying down, however, so should be back usual posting involvement.

Bump?

GM Phntm888 |

Yes, sorry, I'm getting there with that. The vial was a potion of cure moderate wounds. I have not yet made the loot spreadsheet, but will try to do so today (depends on how work goes). For the official vote, I would like everyone to chime in with a yes or no vote after this post. If everyone agrees, that's what we'll go with.
You haven't yet sold any of the goblin loot, but I will include all of it in the spreadsheet when I get it up. You'll have time to do so.

GM Phntm888 |

The Loot Sheet has been posted. I included the loot from the Goblins of the first two battles, even though you didn't technically search them.
Most of it is goblin-made, so it is considered poor quality. I did not automatically sell any of it yet, since you didn't specify you sold it. You will, however, have time to do so.
Also, the equipment is entirely Small-sized.

Rasmorn Nikas Nesvyn |

Yeah, my PFS character is an illusionist, so I had to study up on those rules a lot; was quite happy to learn that silent image still works :). I wasn't sure here, with them being mindless, if they would even try interacting with the wall at all. At least one failed the save, I'll take that!
