Mic Chuffy |
Mic continues to move around the house, as if nothing is happaning.
GM Paladin |
Note to Chuffy: I assume since throwing a stone would provoke, you stepped back away from her before throwing. I also moved Goog as he indicated.
Seriously hurt and panting for breath, the woman decides to focus on the goblin who cast a spell on her. She is only able to hit Goog with a glancing blow. She shrieks curses and other words that would probably sound very unladylike if the goblins could understand her. 1 damage to Goog.
All PCs are up!

Mic Chuffy |
Mic finally comes around the last corner and sees his goblin buddies battling this woman. He picks up a rock and throws it at her.
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18 damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
Some Random Goblin |
Sorry, somehow, I missed that I had not posted...
Chuffy tosses a rock at the woman.
Rock: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (6) + 4 = 10, for 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0 damage.
Once again, proving to be fairly useless...
GM Paladin |
Goog steps back and tries to defend himself from the attacking human.
Greta throws a rock as well, scoring a hit.
Botting Goog: 5-ft step back and full defense. Botting Greta: moving forward and throwing a rock.
The human backs away and attacks Mic, hoping to clear her escape route. The crafty goblin ducks under her swinging frying pan.
All PCs are up!

Lottie vs. Mic: 1d20 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 2 - 1 = 8

Mic Chuffy |
Mic will have to drop his sling and pull out his weapon. He attacks with the flank.
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10 damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (3) - 1 = 2
And almost hits his foot in the process.
GM Paladin |
Mogmurch's attack hits because he has Throw Anything, eliminating the penalty for improvised weapons.
Badly hurt and fatigued, the human backs away cautiously, then turns and runs for the river, hoping you won't bother to follow. she dives in and starts swimming away, joining her dog who does the same. Taking a withdraw action as a full-round action.
This combat is over! There's still lots of fighting going on around the farm right now. To save time, let's just say which part of the farm would you like to go to - barn, animal pens, or the outdoor chapel?
GM Paladin |
Sorry, should have explained, the rows of chairs with an aisle down the middle and a platform at the end -- directly south of where the PCs are now -- is an outdoor chapel where a wedding was in progress when the Licktoad goblins attacked. The goblins would only think of it as a bunch of chairs where halflings and humans were sitting, with a big, tasty-looking cake on the table to the side.
Mic Chuffy |
Mic jumps up and down. "Woooow, Scared woman runs away, just like her dog."
Mic looks around. "Time to loot!!"
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 8
GM Paladin |
Barn it is! I've moved all the characters near the entrance to the barn.
The six goblins sneak around behind the house and through the crops, approaching the barn from the opposite side of where the main fighting is going on. Approaching stealthily, they can see into the building and notice that there is large piles of hay and grain stored inside. Also inside is a large human, standing with his back to the six, facing towards the large group of halflings in the field that are engaged in a battle with the rest of the goblin tribe. He has one hand on the hilt of his sword, and the other is holding a clay pipe with a bit of smoke rising from the bowl.
If you want to approach sneakily, roll stealth. Otherwise we'll go into this with the assumption that he hears you coming. All of you beat his initiative.
Goog init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23
Greta init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9
Mic init: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Mogmurch init: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (9) + 2 = 11
Poog init: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26
Corpule init: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (7) - 1 = 6
Some Random Goblin |
Stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (1) + 15 = 16.
Chuffy stealths forward, and tosses a flask of alchemist's fire at the man (incidentally hoping to set the barn on fire in the process).
Alchemist's Fire: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20, for 1d4 ⇒ 3 Fire damage.
Mic Chuffy |
Mic also moves in stealthy like and tries to aid in the attack.
stealth: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (18) + 15 = 33
Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21 damage: 1d3 - 1 ⇒ (1) - 1 = 0
GM Paladin |
The human isn't really paying attention well until suddenly a bottle of alchemist's fire smashes across his back, and he whirls around, giving a shout of pain.
Mic didn't specify a weapon but since he wouldn't be able to get close enough for a melee, I'll assume he throws the dart in his stat block.
Mic's dart pierces the man's armor but doesn't go in very deep. Mogmurch misses with his stone. Goog and Greta sneak up but aren't close enough to engage. Poog sneaks around the side of the barn and finds lots of straw he could try to light on fire, pretty easily. Actually, some of the stuff around the guy that Chuffy hit with the fire is starting to catch on fire too.
The human angrily runs forward, drawing his sword, though he looks a little unsteady on his feet. He moves to attack Chuffy in retaliation for the fire, but as he approaches, Goog is able to attack him. Not sure what weapon Goog is using. Go ahead and roll your readied attack.
After Goog's attack, the human slashes Chuffy across the chest, breaking through the goblin's leather armor and severely wounding him. Chuffy falls to the barn floor, bleeding heavily. 9 damage to Chuffy, so he's at -2 now. Ouch! Just be glad this guy can't use his Power attack feat right now... due to fatigue from smoking flayleaf.
attack with charge: 1d20 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 3 + 2 = 22
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Mic Chuffy |
I say wait till Friday. If we haven't heard from him then, then sure. Has anyone sent him a direct message?
Cartmanbeck's Gob Pregen |
Yeah, hopefully we can keep it going, we're pretty close to the end! FYI: I'm leaving tomorrow morning for a conference through Saturday, so you will likely see less posting from me this week than normal. Feel free to bot my character as needed!
Luke_Parry |
Alright then!
Round 2:
Chuffy continues to bleed, whilst the man is badly scorched by the alchemist's fire, before the flames gutter out.
Goog tries to club the man, but his weak blow is easily dodged.
Poog fans the flames in the straw, which start to spread like wildfire.
Mogmurch tosses a stone, which the man easily dodges.
The man curses.
"F~!& this. I ain't getting paid enough! Those half-pints can deal with this, themselves!"
He then runs out the other end of the barn, without a backward glance.
Combat over.
1d20 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 1 - 4 = 1
1d20 + 1 - 5 ⇒ (6) + 1 - 5 = 2
1d20 + 1 - 6 ⇒ (2) + 1 - 6 = -3
1d20 + 1 - 7 ⇒ (17) + 1 - 7 = 11
1d20 ⇒ 13
Luckily, Chuffy eventually manages to stabilise, and will eventually be able to stagger back to the tribe (although long after all of the fun is over).
Glancing around the farmstead, everywhere is utter chaos - goblins randomly setting fire to buildings, hounding wedding guests, and one particularly adventurous goblin even opening the gate to the pigsty, letting frightened pigs cannonball all over the place.
The only remaining knot of resistance is the bridge and groom, a pair of halflings that are vigorously defending the wedding cake and presents against all comers.
Let me know what you would like to do :-)
