Following the melee, Rumple moves out of the stairway and into the next room. Aiding the party as best he can right now, he fires a ray of frost at the red trog.
ray of frost: 1d20 ⇒ 17
cold damage: 1d3 ⇒ 2

GM Nowruz |

Ruslo's attack with his reach weapon does not connect.
Rumple sees that the red troglodyte is standing in the next room when the ray flies in its direction and unfortunately due to the cover the opponent has the ray hits the wall.

Llovra moves up to the back of Ruslo and again calls on the aid of the gods, Oh benevolent gods of of the good Pantheons, be kind and heal this person...i beseech you! cure lt: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7 FYI guys... only have one first lv. spell left..(ie. almost out of healing): probably best to back off and let them come to us or work from range..we don't have the resources necessary to send one person through that door and melee with these Trogs

the only weapon she has in hand is the ax

Moved the icon

![]() |

If that was a double move then she would get close enough at the end of that turn so that she could spring into action this coming round

![]() |

Fuzzzy moves over beside Ruslo. "Crouch down, friend, I can't see that green fellow!"
Then he waves his arms through the air and....
"Bobby, what was that spell called...? It's been so long, I can't remember..."

![]() |

"Ah, yes! That's it! RAY OF FROST!"
A blast of cold air fires from his hand into the strong looking troglodyte!

"Blast, these damm walls and bobbing heads!". Looking around in frustration, Rumple spys the bed behind him and leaps up for a better view. He then fires another Ray of Frost at the blue trog.

Round 5
1. Rumple (miss), Kwannon (miss)
2. Troglodytes
3. Fuzzy, Llorva, Ruslo
Unfortunately, neither Rumple nor Kwannon hit the large blue troglodyte and he uses all his power to strike once at Ruslo that hurt him very badly but he misses and then drops to the floor.
The already injured red and the now not fearful yellow troglodyte throw a javelin at Ruslo that only hit the floor.

Unfortunately, he is just as bad with the sickle as he is with frost rays. "Stand still, you big oaf!"

Knowing the shot is almost impossible with two of her companions between her and the red Troglodyte...Llovra with little choice, take's aim and fires anyway with her longbow longbow: 1d20 + 3 - 4 - 4 ⇒ (16) + 3 - 4 - 4 = 11dmg: 1d8 ⇒ 4 Llvora's aim is good but the chaos of combat and the fact that, two of her comrades are between her and a clear shot...causes her to miss yet again. I can't get a clear shot from beyond this door with everyone in the way! Llvora announces desperately.

![]() |

Ruslo approaches the yellow troglodyte swinging his hook.
Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

![]() |

Fuzzzy looks at Llorva funny. "Then come on in, strange woman. All the troglodytes are dead except for that yellow one! There's a perfectly clear shot shot over here. See?"
Fuzzzy moves forward and throws his longsword at the yellow troglodyte. Hand of the apprentice
Ranged Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 5 + 1 = 12
Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 1 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 1 - 2 = 8
And then it appears right back in his hand!

Lol I thought Rumple was a Trog! sorry his pawn looks like a monster...:( oh well

She moves out of the door way and attacks the remaining yellow trog with her ax
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
1d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

![]() |

When she hits she doesn't do too bad :)

![]() |

Llvora moves in to the room ready to shoot the Trog should Kwannon's blow not have taken the creature down.

GM Nowruz |

The first attack of Ruslo almost brought the troglodyte to his knees but when Kwannon's axe hit him he fell to the floor bleeding.
9. Barracks
Crude bunks line the walls of this room, which is filled with the nauseating stench of troglodytes.
It seems as if this room is the main living quarters for most of the troglodytes in the tower.
10. Big Blue Trog's room
A brazier of glowing coals sits in the center of this room, its acrid smoke mixing with the ever-present troglodyte stench. A few knives, pokers, and other metal implements lie atop a rusty iron box nearby.

![]() |

Rumple helps search the room and the trogs. perception (aid other): 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (14) - 1 = 13. If any of the trogs are unconscious but dying, he will watch them curiously (neither helping nor harming). He takes notes.

![]() |

Llovra searches the Troglodytes bunk room carefully before continuing onward. She also searches the bodies of the Troglodytes equally carefully...'taking 20' on perception for a total of 22 to search the Barracks room and the bodies..if someone wants to search the 'Big Blue room' it will save us time.

GM Nowruz |

You check the whole area and you see that the large troglodyte carries a key that does not fit anything in this area.
The rusty iron box holds a lot of equipment.
I assume you use detect magic and spellcraft.
A suit of masterwork studded leather armor, a masterwork buckler, a masterwork rapier, a shortbow with 15 arrows, a scroll of cure moderate wounds, a scroll of invisibility, a wayfinder, and a climber’s kit.

![]() |

Fuzzzy wanders around the stinky bedroom. He sits on one of the stinky beds. Then he lays down.
After a minute, he asks Bobby, "Bobby? Why does my bed stink so much?"

![]() |

"What?" Fuzzzy exclaims. "It's not mine? Well, then why am I sleeping in it?"
He laughs as if his owl is being silly. He gets up and wanders around.
"Ah, what a lovely key! I wish I had one like that. I think my house might have an key like that, but, I can't seem to recall where I've put it."
He looks at the trunk and then tell Llorva, "What an ugly trunk you have, strange woman!"

![]() |

Fuzzzy looks at his owl. "Really?" he asks it. "Well, if you say so! DETECT MAGIC!"
Fuzzzy inspects the gear and tells everyone what it is.
Then he takes the very nice looking Wayfinder and puts it around his neck. He also takes the scroll of invisibility.
"What nice things I have!" he says. Then he points at the stuff left over. "You fine strangers are welcome to take some of my things if you want!"

![]() |

“Ack! It really stinks in here! Hey, we didn’t do too bad.”
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
“Heh, that armour looks pretty good. Nice!”
Ruslo picks up the armour and inspects it closely.
“Look at that! A wayfinder. Think that’s Balenor’s?”

![]() |

I would assume so she says. He may be near but in what state we do not yet know

![]() |

Llovra dawns the MW buckler...She also takes the scroll of cure moderate wounds and re-fills the arrows in her quiver...She tells everyone, There is some more magic here... Noticing that fuzzy already has read the scroll she says, Good Ok then this other scroll is relatively powerful healing magic..since I only have one spell left it may come in useful if we face more enemies. She hands the masterwork rapier to Kwannon.. I think you will get the most use out of this. Hefting the climbing kit she says, These things probably belong to our wayward Pathfinder..we'll return them when we find him. For now let's keep moving...but, first are any of you seriously injured?

![]() |

When everyone is ready, Fuzzzy wanders over to the door that he has not been through that is off of 'room 10'
"I wonder what's through here!'

![]() |

"Yeah.... We'll return the stuff when we find him. Sure thing."
Ruslo dons the armour.
"Yup, really nice."
"Nah, just a scratch Llorva."
"Hey old man! Wait for the rest of us!"
Ruslo takes lead and inspects it before anyone goes through. Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6

GM Nowruz |

Ruslo cannot detect any traps and Fuzzy opens the door.
11. Cell
It seems as if the troglodytes used this tiny room as a jail.
In the the northeast corner of the room lies a man bound in manacles who is not moving. Suddenly, you see him breathe heavily as he is obviously sleeping.
It seems as if the man has been regularly beaten and has not been given much to eat. Blood stains are visible all over his body.

![]() |

Although you normally think of dwarves as being sturdy, unflappable rocks, Rumple Dergskin breaks the mold. In this case, he does it with a squeak as he leaps about half his height into the air when the man breathes. "Bah! It's alive. I wasn't scared... it just surprised me. One of you healer types should probably make sure he stays that way."

![]() |

The magus will keep an eye out for danger and as the man wakens will ask Who are you and how came you to be here ?
