So...realistically, is there any way Barundar could affect the Vescavor Queen at this point? I'm thinking there isn't. The only weapon he could use is a thrown handaxe and I'm really doubting that would get through any DR the beast might have.

On the other hand, some preparatory action might not be a bad idea. Barundar will stay directly adjacent to Victrix and ready a Swift action to use Sudden Block if the vermin attacks her and give her the free extra attack.

Barundar gives a loud whoop as his use of his mythic energies allows Victrix to score a good hit on the Queen, followed quickly by a grevious wound at the end of her blade. The dwarf takes the opportunity to take his own shot at the queen, though he is well aware that he has little chance of scoring a wound. Any little bit helps though, right?

The scream feels quite cathartic for her--it's given her resolve to push forward.

She starts moving towards the Queen, her blade still readied. If she could taunt the creature into coming down again, she would. Unfortunately, the silence spell on her prevents her from doing so.

Would my Renewed Vigour rage power be considered magical healing? It's an extraordinary ability, so I'm guessing not...

Actualy, thanks to me having to use Mythic Power to cast it in the first place, I have a better way to bypass the Silence.
It is possible to 'hold the charge' on a touch spell. Nobody ever does it because it screws with action economy, turning one standard action into two. Since I will be casting it as a swift action, I can use my standard action to apply it on Victrix after I move next to her.

Once more calling on her mythic power, Belledonna summons arcane energies to her touch before quickly moving to Victrix' side, infusing her kinswoman with the power if flight temporarily.

Swift action: expend one Mythic power to cast flight.
Move action: move next to Victrix.
Standard action: touch Victrix, 'imbuing' her with the spell.

Konny:
A long, rippling crevice of nauseating mauve energy splits the southern wall of this otherwise empty cave, a tear in reality through which roiling clouds of mist churn and twist. The edges of the rift pulse and writhe, widen and contract, almost as if it were an organic thing. The temperature is noticeably hotter here than elsewhere in the caves, and the air carries on it the foul stench of burning flesh. As you watch a few vescavor flit back and forth through the rift. Seems you found an Abyssal Rift.

Though her rage eases the pain somewhat, Victrix's instinct switches from 'fight' to 'flight'. She takes one last swing at it, her mythic power surging to the fore...

...then racing as far away from the queen as she can, back to Brighton & Sosiel. She's covered in blood...

Regenerative Vigour gives me Fast Healing 1 after I've used Renewed Vigour.

Drawing forth a wand, Belledonna levels it at the grotesque creature that is the present source of all their troubles. In a bid to distract the fiendish vermin from her companion long enough for their friends to heal her, Belledonna unleashes the force within.

Wand of Magic Missile: 3d4 + 3 ⇒ (2, 3, 3) + 3 = 11 Force damage
Penetration: 1d20 + 6 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 4 = 20, to beat SR, if it has any.


Drezen Citadel Drezen Dungeon of Drezen

Victrix smacks the Queen hard and then rushes away suffering an AoO 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (11) + 12 = 23 Damage: 1d6 + 9 - 3 ⇒ (5) + 9 - 3 = 11 this drops Victrix to -3 she also drops out of rage, dropping her to -25. She floats to the ground unconscious and close to deaths door.

Belledonna levels her wand and blasts the Queen she has SR 19...so good roll. ending its foul existance.

Brighton rushes over and heals Victrix for 3d8 + 8 ⇒ (4, 2, 8) + 8 = 22 with a mythic cure serious wounds. Sosiel channels and heals everyone for 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 1) = 8. Vic is conscious again.

The Queen drops to the floor besides Vic with a meaty plop and explodes into gore. Half formed vescavor eggs slop about from her innards....the insane gibbering in the cave reaches a crescendo and then begins to fade...

Victrix gasps for breath as Brighton's and Sosiel's healing revives her. Every part of her hurts, but somehow she's alive.

I do have Diehard as a feat. Still, it's appropriate that she fall considering what happened.

The vescavor queen's corpse beside her gives her a sense of joy... but also of disappointment, oddly enough.

I'm alive after all, huh?

"...we won?" Is all she can say, still too exhausted to speak.

"Aye, lassie. We won. A' thanks tae ye 'n' that eviscerator ye ca' a sword."

Belle's fingers feel warm against Victrix's pale, cold face. Barundar's mailed hand on her shoulder offers her reassurance.

It brings a dazed smile to her face. "Yaaaaaaaa~aaaaay!" She tries to sit up, but her ravaged belly refuses to cooperate with her.

"Hey--I got an' idea. Let's--let's not come in tomorrow, eh? Maybe--uh... maybe get a good feast together 'n' party it up? O' course, no guarantee that I'll be able ta make it... maybe it can wait for a bit. Jus' a thought." She rambles, the pain she's in still leaving her rather out of it.

Sosiel heals Victrix CSW: 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 7, 2) + 5 = 16 and CMW: 2d8 + 5 ⇒ (3, 5) + 5 = 13 closing her most serious wounds.

Kn:Arcana or Planes DC 17:
Dispel Evil or Dispel Chaos, Dimensional Lock or Dimensional Anchor would be enough to seal the breach.

Kn:Engineering DC 15:
You could always cause a cave in and bury the breech. It wouldn't be that hard to bring the roof of that small cavern down.

Sosiel's healing fixes Victrix's wounds enough that she can stand.

"Thanks... I 'ope I didn't say anythin' too weird. I sometoimes do that when I'm knocked fer a loop." She gives the priest a grateful nod.

She listens to Konny when he explains how the rift may be sealed. "Uh... can anyone 'ere cast any o' those?" She scratches her head.

Shaking her head in disappointment at Konny's query, Belledonna considers Brighton's idea.

Dimensional Anchor is the one of those I will be soonest able to cast & that not for another two levels...
The two Dispells, I will never be able to cast because they are only on Paladin & Cleric lists.

The dwarf looks around at the cave they are in, thoughtfully stroking his beard.

"I ain't na engineer, but it likelie wouldn't tak' much work tae bring enough o' this cave doon tae mak' it impossible tae come thro', anyway. Ah say we go wi' Brighton's idea."

Stonelords lose all ability to cast Paladin spells in favor of the Defensive Stance ability, so Barundar won't be able to help, either. Regardless, I don't think any of us could cast the appropriate spell right now; both the Dispels are level five and we are not really even close to casting spells of that level yet. I think the best we can hope for is keeping it physically sealed off until we can get an appropriately high-level crusader here.
