Barundar, realizing the danger that the bridge is in, makes the decision to help, believing Vic well able to care for herself and her opponent. As such, he breaks into a full-tilt run, trying to get to his fellow dwarf to assist him.

So...yeah. Move as quickly as possible to attack the auroch engaged with Konny. I doubt seriously that I'll have an attack at the end of that, but if I do, let me know and I'll roll it.

On my phone so I can't move Kaladin on the map.

Kaladin rushes so he can see the aurochs to the east, heedless of any attacks from the dretch.

Assuming he gets line of sight, he'll burn a mythic point to cast Deep Slumber on red. DC18 will save.

Why purple, it is already loose - so no danger for the bridge. The only one still able to pull is the green one that Konny is trying to engage.

Looks like I'm not close enough to attack the last demon, or do anything useful this round.

Kaladin dismisses the river of wind, and starts moving to the other side of the bridge where the injured knights are long with the last demon.

Seeing that Konny likely has his beast well in hand and will be done with it before's able to reach the thing, Barundar changes tactics, moving swiftly underneath the bridge toward the undamaged Auroch (Red).

With the crazed animal put down and Barundar dealing with the far beast, Victrix looks over to see how Konny's doing...

Turns out, he needs help. Badly.

"HANG IN THERE! I'M COMIN'!" She breaks into a sprint, running as fast as she can to get to Konny's side! "Belle! Can yeh do somethin' ta help him?!"

Navi who had been flitting abound above the battlefield suddenly rushes down and tells Kaladin, "One of the knights below the bridge is getting badly mauled! You've gotta help him!"

Kaladin nods and runs to the edge of the bridge and sees a dwarf below (Konny) fighting the Auroch. He's fighting well but he's been through the wars and is bloodied and singed. Kaladin whispers a prayer and motes of warm holy light surround the dwarf, closing the worst of his wounds.
Cure Serious Wounds: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (3, 8, 1) + 7 = 19

Thanks to Faith's Reach he can cast healing spells from 30' range.

I hope that that trend continues throughout the campaign! I can't hit hard but this is probably the least I've been hit and damaged in a game since I started playing tabletop RPGs.

I'd forgotten about not being able to run in heavy armor, though. Need to invest in some mithral full plate as soon as some becomes available and I have the resources to do it.

As he has previously, he sets his feet against the dirt, entering his defensive stance and simultaneously drawing on the power of the earth, determined that if there's going to be a pushing contest between him and this beast, he won't be the first one moving!

Seeing the dwarf get gored, Kaladin races down the hill and whispers an urgent prayer to Pulura. In response, motes of holy light surround the dwarf and some colour returns to his cheeks. In addition Navi races towards him, wand in hand.

The combination of attacks brings the Aurochs facing Konny down. The Thoxel, seeing their leader gone, teleport away in fear. The other Aurochs is easily dispatched, all is quiet the bridge has been taken.

A few minutes later, a force of Paladins led by Sosiel arrive to fortify the bridge and hold it from counterattack.

Lady Irabeth herself will want to debrief you and speak of today's successes. We are close to retaking Drezen!

Barundar huffs and pants, breathing heavily in exhaustion from his efforts at bringing down the auroch quickly. Still...all the enemies dispatched, there wasn't any need for him to use some of his healing magics to remove it, so he let it naturally wear off after a few seconds of rest. He slowly made his way back up to the top of the bridge, and before Sosiel could say anything else about re-taking Drezen, he points out the stranger at the opposite end of the bridge that aided in the fight.

"Before anythin' else..we need tae talk tae him. Th' battle might've gaen very differently if he hadn't helped. We need tae fin' oot who he is, how he got 'ere, 'n' whit his intentions are."

Standing triumphant over the auroch's corpse, Victrix feels the adrenaline fade from her body, replaced by pain. She winces and wobbles on her feet.

"Aye... who is 'e anyway?" She asks, scratching her head and glancing in the newcomer's direction.

You examine the man you helped you in the fight, he's of middling height with dark brown windswept hair. There are various strange shamanistic feather tokens woven into his hair an clothing. He carries no armor or weapons of any kind. Yet there is an intensity to his presence that hints of strange and unknowable powers. Around him a susurration in the very air that is seemingly bound to his will...

To Kaladin's senses the spirits of the assembled host blaze like the sun. Navi who had been flitting about returns excitedly to Kaladin and points to Victrix, "Kal, could she be the one?"

Kaladin looks at Victrix and with a dreamlike expression he replies, "Aye lass, there's no mistakin it. She be the warrior maiden from tha dream!" Barely aware of what he's doing, Kaladin approaches Victrix and falls on one knee before her to say, "I listened ta tha spirits o' tha mountain and o' tha storm, they spoke of a warrior maiden, peerless in battle. I saw tha aurora. It spoke to meh, told me ta find ya. Aye Pulura bade meh to help ya fight daemons, and ta shoield ya frm harm, to share in ya pain literal like."

Victrix looks up as the newcomer approaches with a dreamy look in his eye and falls to one knee. He has a ball of light flitting close to him.

"Uh... pardon me? What?" She replies to the man's... odd manner of speech.

Kaladin sighs, "Oh by tha North Wind, she has nae idea what I'm talking about... Navi are ye sure we dinnae make a mistake?"

Navi flutters about and inspects Victrix closely, and replies "She's defiantly the one Kal, I'm sure about it. Only thing is it seems Pulura kinda forgot to tell her we're coming."

Kaldin rolls his eyes, and picks himself up muttering, "Ach! How awkward." Standing now he tells Victrix, "Lady it's like this, ye and mayhap some of yer companions are touched by destiny. There's sommat you have ta do, but ye may nae get there without help."

Victrix blinks as the man's talking light companion flits up to her face. "Excuse me--I've more-or-less exhausted myself from carvin' demons up on the way 'ere--if Pulura 'erself sent me any messages, they probably got lost in th' shuffle. Don't worry about it so much."

Kaladin nods at the Dwarf, "One moment afore ye turn in sir Dwarf. Allow me, well Pulura really, to tend to yer wounds. And thee too my Lady, an' those at tha back, crowd around!"

Kaldin utters a short prayer, "Pulura, shining maiden o' tha stars, yer children seek yer aid" The response is immediate, a nimbus of positive energies rushes out causing assorted scratches and bruises to noticeably fade. "A wee bit more, if it please yer Pulura..." whispers Kaldin and the same thing happens and yet more wounds vanish.

Seeing that the warrior Lady and the Dwarf need extra attentions, Kaladin produces a particularly colorful feather and mutters a peculiar incantation and yet more wounds knit closed - first on the Lady and then on the Dwarf.

Healing Hex Konny: 2d8 + 7 ⇒ (6, 5) + 7 = 18

In answer to her earlier question, Kaladin says "I know a trick or two fer figntin daemons, but healin is meh day job. I can ev'n share meh life force, to heal ya while I do summat else. Hurts lik ell but gets tha job done. Anyway name's Kaladin. May I ask fer yer name lady?"

Noting the size of the force coming up the road, Kaladin remarks "Quite tha army yous ha'e ere. Need a hand cleansing yonder town?'

Without a hint of irony Kaladin replies, "Sommat like that aye, it was uh impressive. I ah, I also saw what happens if ya fail, gave meh nightmares." He shudders involuntarily at the memory.

Kaladin nods to Barundar, "Pleasure ta meetcha, Sir Barundar." He suddenly gives the dwarf a speculative look, "Doya know, I think I did see ya in teh scrum. Roight next to tha Lady here, but you wha buried up ta ya beard in daemon parts. Dinnay recognise ya at first."
