Infuriated at being caught, Lyle leaps up onto the table in front of him, and stabs down at the gawking goblin.

Should that goblin fall, Lyle hops down, stabbing at the next one in line.

Surprise round to move in and stab, round one to stab the next available goblin (either green if its still alive, or yellow.

Lyle is stabbed twice by the goblins that rush in on him, and he suddenly remembers that he is not a front-line fighter.

Parrying as best he can, the grievously injured halfling runs under the table, and to the back of the group.

Round 2 he moves to next where lyle is retreating from and goes on Full Defense.

Bec moves to intercept the goblin and preventing it to chase the already almost dying Lyle.
”Let’s see how you fare ‘gainst me you little!” he yells attacking with his sword with vengeance putting his entire weight against the blow.

Morgran hurls a handaxe which sticks in a goblin face, the stupid creature makes a Urk sound and falls dead.
Lyle withdraws a safe distance, he hears Stop all your damned bellyaching ye damned little gits from the area beyond the flimsy curtain I noted it on the map
Duncan moves up, but no one is there for him to pummel.

The Grey goblin you can tell is a bit bigger and seems to be in "charge" of the others,

"Hush now my darling, we'll be leaving at first light. Papa's buying you a mockingbird to lull you through the night. Across the den by morning, here's a blanket for you to share. They're building down in Magnimar and I think I'll find work there..."

Despite his injuries, Lyle's rich, sonorous voice strikes an odd counterpoint to the battle as he weaves his hands.

"And the mockingbird can sing like the crying of a dove, and I can't tell my daughters all the things that I'm scared of..."

Sleep: 5d8 ⇒ (3, 8, 2, 3, 6) = 22

Lyle casts sleep behind the grey goblin. It affects 22 hp of creatures in range, starting with the lowest hit points. 20' range, it should be far enough out to get the goblins but not hit Duncan.

"I've no use for a gaggle on goblins trailin around after us, but no desire to kill em in their sleep either. Do what ye want with em. Although the biggun did seem to be somewhat in charge, might wanna talk to him after a bit. Nice work Lyle with the sleep spell."

Morgran comments to seemingly no one in particular, with the exception of the last part, as he cleans the gore from his axe. Turning the axe over he walks among the sleeping goblins smacking them with the flat of it to make sure they'll not be waking up anytime soon.

Well what can I say...I have awesome adventuring friends who protect me from harm..lol

Duncan will strip all the goblins of their weapons and possessions, piling it all in the centre of the room.

"I agree with Morgran. We do not need goblins trailing us as we explore. If you want to try and question one, that is fine I guess, otherwise I will take my sword to their necks."

There were seven goblins, so that's seven rusty scimitars and 7d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 4, 5, 1, 6, 1) = 21 GP in coinage. They have leather armor on...

Having searched the bodies, Duncan goes on to search the room, including the door leading out of the tower the creatures slept in.

Will search the bedding, as well as the floor/walls, and then finally the door.

Lyle nods as Bec kills the goblins. He then pauses and listens for a moment. He looks to the group, puts a finger to his lips, and points to the northeast.

Lyle spots a well armed and armored goblinoid he recognizes as a hobgoblin. It doesn't seem to notice him as it moves forward Hey, you little gits. The boss wants his supper!

Lyle ducks back and motions to the rest of the group. He places a finger to his lips. Not making any noise, he points a finger to the northeast, and then makes a mean face and mimes slapping a sword against a shield. He then crouches beside the door, ready to spring on the unsuspecting bad guy.

"We no gits! You git! We eat supper for us!" shrieks Lyle from his hiding place, trying to do his best approximation of a goblin.

Deception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17

Bec watches it all passively.

I was in a car accident yesterday and unable to post. Also, for courtesy I think you should give us at least Sunday off.

Being hurt and hurting, Bec moves to stay just besides to door.
"Move back!" he yells at Andrey, currently blocking the others from attacking the new enemy.

With that, he stays ready to attack as soon the goblinoid walks into the room.

Andrei hacks at the hobgoblin who easily blocks the attack with his shield. Andrei backs up and suffers an opportunity attack 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (11) + 3 = 14 that misses.
Bec moves up and hacks the hobgoblin down into the dirt!

Combat Over...wow that was fast.

Everyone gets 20XP for the hobgoblin, he is wearing Chainmail and a shield as well as a longsword and 1d10 ⇒ 6 GP.

You hear commotion from two spots as the hobgoblin's cry was heard by the denizens of the castle. Map edited

Lyle lunges out from his hiding place, and stabs at the air as the hobgoblin collapses.

"Well, that worked out."

He counts out the coins and divides them.

"Good stuff. Let's see if his warning was heard."

Lyle heads out into the passageway the hobgoblin came from, looking northwards.

Lyle sees another Hobgoblin appear, this time with a couple of goblins in tow.

Behind them the party hears voices I heard them here! Luupo called out he did! And supper is late!

Everyone has a couple rounds worth of time before the goblinoids arrive to investigate.

Looking like Duncan, Andrei and Bec are holding the front lines Morgran begins to mutter quietly "Torag, bless those who would help your servant, protect them from harm and guide their hands against those who would cause us harm.

Way I read it you get this bonus for the next 10 rounds, enjoy

Niles, Morgran will cast the spell at the last moment so to keep the full effect during the fight.
