Cool - I've sent off a message to Cree and Herald, and hopefully will hear back from them, but if not then I will seek to replace them with 1-2 new PCs.

As for loot, I have set up a google spreadsheet (linked in the header of the game for convenience) with a list of all lootables that have been found in the club and from the bodies/Ferani. If there are items you wish to claim for yourselves, please do so by writing your character's name into the 'Claimed by' column.

Feel free to discuss in here if there are items you would like or think someone should take.

I will still split the creds/UPBs as if Cree and Herald are around, as I don't want them to miss out should they be keen/able to return into the game, and if I need to recruit new players, then they will likely have a few extra credits to their name to make sure they are at the same sort of gear level that you all are.

Hey all - just to advise that it's now been about a week since I sent messages off to Cree and Herald's players, along with the few weeks of no contact from either of them in game.

I'll look into getting a quick re-recruitment up by the end of this week, if you folks are keen to get some fresh PCs involved in the game :)

Also, I am just waiting at this point on you guys to make a decision on whether you are wanting to take Ferani all the way to station security, or calling them to meet you halfway to take her into custody. I'll give one more day for you guys, but then I'll assume you want to take her all the way there if nothing else, just to get the game on the move again.

I'm just getting the recruitment post together now - just wanted to check if any of you have someone who would like to join, before I send off a general post for recruitment.

If Herald and Cree do message back and are keen to return from wherever life seems to have taken them, they are more than welcome to do so, and we will accommodate a larger group than I had planned for originally.


Ok, so since it has been nearly another 2 weeks and no response from Herald and Cree, I will sideline them at earliest opportunity and get my re-recruit on. Hopefully having a couple of new players will help inject some lifeblood into game :)

I'll be looking for 1-2 players to come in to replenish numbers - are you three still good to keep going? Totally understand if you're not keen on it as well - its been a bumpy going for the last several weeks, but I'm keen if you are.

Awesome - hopefully Darshe and Valorus are still good to continue :) I've messaged Cree and Herald both again as a courtesy to advise, and am finalizing the re-recruitment.

Regarding new material from the Pact Worlds and Alien Archive books - if there is a spell, feat, or theme from these books that better fits your character than something you have chosen from the core rulebook, let me know.

I'm happy for you guys all to swap things out if something fits your character better than the core rulebook spells/themes/feats, and there is a spot of downtime coming up that we can use to make those changes in game without disrupting anything.

@Mawgrim it's not from those books but since you're asking... the SFS scenario the Commencement has newly inducted Starfinders have the option of getting a society subdermal graft for free. We're not doing that scenario but would you mind if I got one as it's nice to have roleplay wise and isn't too expensive... though I wouldn't say no if you gave it for free I'm happy to pay for it.

:) that will be no problem - I offered the same to my home group, and they loved getting it as a reward for joining the Starfinders, so it’s definitely on the table for you all as well :)

We should also lay claim to any stuff from the loot list, just to clean it up a bit. Anything calling out to anyone? I have my eye on the autotarget rifle and artillery laser, but I am not particularly picky. :)

Going to save up the rest of the money for better armour. His weapons and other gear is perfectly serviceable for now.


If you want to claim anything on the list before selling the items, feel free to put your name against the item in the loot table and add it to your character sheet :) items will be sold in the upcoming period of downtime so if there are items you want, now is the time to claim them.

Gonna go ahead and take the autotarget rifle, longarm rounds, and all the grenades, unless someone wants some of those. If not, we can always redistribute them later. Also, Darshe will sell his hunting rifle unless someone wants it.

As far as the longarm magazines go, the rules say they hold 25 rounds each (125 rounds total?), but that's over the capacity for some longarms. Is it just assumed that they are redistributed across smaller magazines?

Yeah, that’s how I ruled it in my home game as well - that the magazines were more just cases of longarm rounds rather than ready-to-go magazines.


No problems with any of the downtime activities undertaken :) I'll update the game shortly, but wanted to let you all know that I have also calculated how many credits you'll get after selling the items taken from the Fusion Queen, as well as items claimed by people:

Welcome to the newcomers - hopefully you enjoy the game :)

In order to bring you guys gear-wise up a little bit, please feel free to add an additional 500 credits to your characters. You may choose to either use the credits now, or hold off on buying anything until a little later on - your choice :)

Also, one thing I have noticed is that the group as it stands has something of a dearth of anyone with the Piloting skill, so everyone (both new and continuing characters) has the opportunity to rearrange their skill points as you wish, should you even want to.

I'll start working on getting you all together in game shortly :)

I might take you up on the offer of tweaking my character. I'm going to drop the Fleet Feat for Skill Synergy (Computers and another skill perhaps Engineering) and shift a point from Medicine into computers. He's not contributing much for Starship combat currently I realise now that I have more experience with the system.

As far as purchases go, I have my eye on a radiation buffer and some infrared sensors for my armor, which would cost me a total of 400 credits. He'll also see about getting that Society subdermal graft that Krevlor mentioned a while back. :)

I ended up buying Pact Worlds, reading through it and found out that the Shirren love the planet that I ended up picking for Valorus's home world. Score one for me. :P
Although I will be keeping the Spacefarer Theme, I will admit the xenoarchaeologist theme is looking very tantilizing.

Trying to figure out how to say "Oh by the way, Valorus is shopping for a brain parasite." Although I really should be getting better armor or guns.


Brain parasites are not necessarily a bad thing (at least in Starfinder), depending on what they're attempting to do :) so go ahead and buy your parasites - the effect will wear off by the time you get to the Hardscrabble rep's ship.

Google slide document has been set up and its link is in the game header :) this method seems to be working well for the other group of this I run. I'll give another day for people to respond/perform actions in the gameplay thread before moving the game onward.

Hey guys. I just wanted to touch base with everyone and address the elephant in the room.

We've been dogfighting this necroglider for over a month now. My extremely crappy rolls are not exactly helping. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to speed things up now or in the future?

Starship battles tend to go a bit slower than other parts of the game, and it's compounded by PBP. I think we're doing okay as we are, but having our science officer scan them to see what their ship stats are would be helpful, especially so I can do my best to position us in the location where our shields are the weakest.

I thought we had already scanned the ship? THat's why I've been doing targetting this entire time.


You guys have actually done a lot more damage to the enemy ship than it feels like, bad dice luck not withstanding.

As for the Scan action, it only gives you the enemy's stats at the time it was scanned. So doing it later in the combat can give you a bit of an idea on how well you're doing or whether there is something specific you want to try and target.


You also end up learning more information about a ship with each successive scan, since you always learn a fact you didn't learn previously.


Also - congratulations are in order. You are all now level 2!

Please feel free to level your characters, and add your new class features to your sheets. Class features/spells/feats/etc, as well as archetypes from the Pact Worlds and Alien Archive are available to be taken.

If you can also post either in here or on your profile character sheet what features you have taken, that'd be appreciated for ease of viewing :)
