Sorry for all the inconvenience. I'll try to be nicer to the rules next time.
No worries! I should have asked you. Your actions were awesome.
By the way, the quick entrance of Lamm is fluff. You attacking didn't keep from RPing with him.
GM Mason |
Sorry for the delay. I was gone yesterday.
I see Silvio as younger than everyone else. Maybe 16, maybe 15. Teron was older than him and Mouse called Teron an 'up and comer', so I figure he's about 18. Silvio is right at the age where he stops really being a 'Little Lamb' and this is his first time of seeing the real horror of Lamm's operation. He's still naive about what the world is, especially his part in all of Lamm's work.
No problem. I know that the pace started out a little hot due to being a new game and me having a couple of days at home.

I'll keep it in mind. :) I'm only twenty, so not a ton older.

It's Monday on my side and I'm at work. Please excuse me if my posting isn't as fast/timely during my work day.
And Silvio, thanks for answering. :)
And Garvid: Hate you and your Nat 20's!! Ha. ;) (Nah, just dice envy is all!! Share the luck, friend! And finish them off.)
Garvid Krein |
Hah. Those were indeed some massively awesome rolls to start the campaign with. Although, I think we've kind of turned into Gangster Squad a bit.
Which is fine-ish by me.

Save those natural 1s for save or sucks spells Garvid. Muhahaha!
I'll post an update in about an hour. I am cooking some dinner for the fam.
GM Mason |
@Orcsson Feel free to post your turn if you want. The bartender is going to drop his club when I post.
GM Mason |
Damn...that card couldn't have fit better if I'd planned her that way...and it's matching alignment and primary attribute to her...o.O
Yep. That is awesome.
The AP says to pick them that way, but I went with the card that I felt like matched everyone's backstories. I think you were the only one who lined up perfectly.
Calcedon |
I had a fortuneteller in a Jade Regent game. I only did two readings, but I picked their alignment and grabbed the cards that matched their highest three scores. Both of them were crazy accurate, however if I had done anyone else in the party, they wouldn't have fit at all.
It's just funny that way.
GM Mason |
And just like that, the magic's gone.
To bad it wasn't a save or suck spell :)
GM Mason |
Yes, I'm aware that Mouse is fairly cocky when it comes to the other enforcer Lambs after beating Teron. It is totally fair for that to come back and bite her in the ass. X)
Haha! I love it. One of the many reasons that you were chosen. Let's see how you do against Teron! Muhahaha!
Manius 'Orcsson' Archton |
Yeah... Manius isn't touching something covered in piss unless all other options are expended. That's, like, totally gross man.
Also I've been thinking Manius has probably increased his 'orciness' for his vigilante Orcsson guise: he's probably got some kind of tusk enhancers (his are not terribly large), darkened his skin and thickened his brow. Given I haven't actually explicitly described what he looks like right now, I hope this is okay?
Garvid Krein |
Everyone else is being reasonable and eloquent, meanwhile Garvid be like
He also doesn't actually sound anything like good ol' Vinnie, just thought it appropriate.
Also, about the card, can I get some more explanation about Harrow? That's one of the mechanics/lore that isn't terribly well explained on the wiki, and the books I'd purchased for Pathfinder may be exclusive to People of the North. (I admit to being THAT guy and buying it mostly for my PFS sorcerer. Snowball too good.)

You guys go through a reading soon. I'll take the time to explain the rules then. It will take a few minutes to post. It will have in game effects including possible buffs.
Emilia Zorzi |
I think Garvid's language/reaction is wholly within his character. Em grew up in upper middle-class society (dealing with minor nobles) before her family's fall from grace and ensuing change in circumstance. Thus her more refined speech and attempt to smooth tempers. Though, really, she would have loved to have thrown a chair at the barkeeper. ;)
Loved the vid.
Marial "Mouse" Redfist |
Short version on the Harrow:
It's basically the in-game version of tarot cards, used as a fortune-telling device. There are six suits, one for each major character attribute (Strength, Dexterity, etc.). Within each suit, there is one card for each alignment (lawful good, chaotic neutral, etc.). The cards are placed in what's called a spread, and how they fall in the spread is supposed to speak to the past, present, and future of the subject(s) of the reading.
GM Mason |
Crap, posted while on break at work and now I wanna change it and can't :(
Also, while I remember, I have deducted 2gp from Manius's stats.
What do you want to change?
Manius 'Orcsson' Archton |
Nothing major, would probably just be adding some dialogue and an actual perception roll for his peering out the Tavern. I'll just put that below in case it's relevant.
Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Marial "Mouse" Redfist |
Oh, I expected no less than fisticuffs, at least with Teron. :)
So I've just realized a sort of odd reversal of my usual situation - in character, I know Teron quite well: strengths, weaknesses, style, etc. But out of character...I don't even know what class he is. X) You don't have to tell me; I just found it funny, considering that it's usually quite the opposite.

You know that he is very persuasive and good with a shortsword. You have seen him inspire and rally the lambs before. You have even seen him play a wooden recorder whistle before.
Manius 'Orcsson' Archton |
I was thinking of having Manius thank Emilia for her good work, then I realised he's probably not been paying any attention to what's been happening in that corner of the room. He'll have been too focused on his own heroics (and trying to upstage Garvid, damn him!)
GM Mason |
(and trying to upstage Garvid, damn him!)
Never fear "Rabbit Prince"...the campaign is still young! You will have many more opportunities!
Garvid Krein |
Ah.
It was indeed.
Bah.
I do apologise, I try to miss as few things as possible, but sometimes I only find the time to post late at night or early in the morning. Which isn't me at optimal conditions.
I wonder if the other fight is happening somewhere around the tavern.

I will post for the tavern crew in the next hour.
@Em Great question. It is between 8-9pm. The back of the card should read "Meet at dawn" instead of dusk.
Emilia Zorzi |
@Garvid: No worries! I just played it out like you had spoken to Em and she healed your guy for 6hp.
@GM Mason: Thank you for the answer. And I'll play it out like the card said 'dawn'.
Garvid Krein |
Suddently, a wall of text appears!
If the GM wants to say something about that, I'm fine to feedback or name changes.
Angry ex-guardsman is angry. May also be extremely tired, injured and pissed off.

And just like that...Garvid takes the RPing to another level and gets a reward...BAM! Take a roll on the Wheel of Fortune buddy and enjoy your prize:
1- Swan Boat Token
2- Potion of Feather Step
3- Kit that contains one of each weapon blanch (adamantine, cold iron, ghost salt, and silver)
4- One set of Masterwork Artisan's Tools (your choice)
5- Potion of Spider Climb (20 minutes)
6- 100 gold
7- Wand of CLW (8 charges)
8- One Free Reroll (Saving Throw)
9- One Free Reroll (Attack)
10- Roll Two More Times and Pick the Better of the Two
Garvid Krein |
1d10 ⇒ 6
That's cool. Masterwork halberd fund is now in a surprisingly better condition.
Also, I'm glad people are enjoying it. It's one of the moments that I feel one with the character, the words, and the place. I've felt like that with not as many characters as I'd have hoped. (I believe this is the third.)
/bows.
GM Mason |
I think Manius might be spending the rest of the night being very, very quiet o.0
Please don't. Em needs help reigning this in. Haha. We've got two woman in need of a hero.
Emilia Zorzi |
Would Emilia know any higher level clerics in town who she could talk to about helping Lily get over her addiction? Em doesn't have Remove Disease as that is a higher level spell ... Shame. But maybe another cleric could help Lily....?

Layout & Construction
The Grand Cathedral is surrounded by a small, fenced-in plot of holy ground, and is the only structure that is home to the living within the city's graveyard district. It has imposing, black marble walls and few windows, especially on the first floor, and even the windows on the upper floors are largely arrow slits. The defensive construction of the Grand Cathedral is practical, as the church of Pharasma has had to fight numerous battles throughout its history to keep risen corpses from breaking out of the cemetery and attacking the living. Numerous extensive vaults are located beneath the Cathedral, and are used as reliquaries and ossuaries. The latter is said to house the remains of Saint Alika.
Inhabitants
The Grand Cathedral is inhabited primarily by the clergy of Pharasma: a mix of laypersons, clerics, and faithful warriors, who are led by Bishop Keppira d'Bear.
**You would know the Bishop well. Next post in discussion will be your knowledge of her. I'll post so you won't see spoilers.

Here is a PIC
I'll have to give you more details later, but you are in good standing with her. As a matter of fact, you know the temple would be a safe place to rest and would take you guys in, especially Lily.
Emilia Zorzi |
Not that I mind your guy stepping up, but Emilia hadn't finished her part with both women, so my latest post is finishing up what needed to be said before your character said what he said. So time wise, it would be better if my post was read before yours... I hope you don't mind.
