"Perhaps now that we have defeated the guardian, the plane we are in will conform to our will?"
Imrana closes her eyes and concentrates hard on the Venture-Captain appearing here with the party.
If there's anything we can figure out with knowledge, I'm just gonna go ahead and roll. My bonus is the same on all except dungeoneering, which is 1 higher
Knowledge (any) or spellcraft: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28

Dunkel stands waiting for the world to shift and change yet again, and breathes a sigh of relief when it doesn't.
"Maybe we should try th' door?"
Returning his waraxe, he hoists a shovel and considers explaining how sometimes diggin' is needed when you find a dirt wall behind a door, but in his tired state, simply opens it.

Dunkel opens the door and sees, yet again, the meeting room of Farseer Tower. The windows are closed, as you remember they were when the seance started. You see the bodies of yourself, Wulessa, and the others lying unconscious in a circle, much like before.
"Are we back?"

Imrana smiles and nods at the Venture-Captain.
"I think that we are indeed back, Venture-Captain Wulessa, but I agree with Doubtful that we should probably remain until further tests have been performed."
Imrana peaks out the window to test for the wind, then scans Wulessa for any lingering magic effects.

            The pillows seem comfortable.
Imrana sees the breezeless city of Katapesh just as it was when you left. Nothing seems out of place.
You get a number of magical auras from the Venture Captain, but not the strong divination you might expect from an attempt at transcribing thoughts, or the illusion associated with shadow conjuration.
"I really must apologize to you all for this, and thank you for rescuing me. You performed remarkably well in a unique environment." Wulessa says as she returns the scroll back to the Archive's chest. "Clearly more research is needed into proper safeguards. I will reach out to some of my colleagues and allied scholars to make sure we are prepared for any future expeditions into the archive.
Should you ever find yourself in Katapesh again, remember you have a friend at Farseer Tower."
Someone knocks on the room's door. The Venture-Captain opens it, revealing one of the tower's servants. He hands Wulessa a note before silently departing.
"I see...It seems you're being called away already. Sometimes I miss those crazy days as a field agent. Is there anything else I can help you with before you depart?"
Providing a chance for any last RP or IC questions for her. I'm also happy to answer (in spoilers) any OOC questions about scenario events.

Amiri shakes her head, as if arising from sleep.
"Well, I can honestly say that I have never had an experience quite like that before! Hopefully, there will be a way to access the Archive that is not quite so dangerous... Good luck! Did you learn anything interesting during your experience?"

"I learned a little bit about the Archivist. It seemed unable to comprehend my objections to being transcribed. It had no ill intent, and in fact I believe it is incapable of harboring any true malice. It didn't see the change from one state of existence to another as harmful or negative in any way.
Though I was not directly in contact with any of the Jistkan minds, it is clear that there are many dormant within. Presumably there must be a way to access the Archive without being added to its contents. I'm afraid it may take some time to determine those methods, though.

            Imrana bows to the Venture-Captain.
"I would very mucn like a chance to assist you in your research, Venture-Captain, whenever I am able. I am searching for knowledge that may help me allow the Great Nex to return from wherever he is currently trapped, and the magic of this mindscape and the guardian within may provide insight, as you yourself were almost trapped."

Dunkel offers the venture-captain a slightly dirty hand before bowing awkwardly, offering the hand again, the bowing again.
"Err, happy 't help ye, Cap'n. Especially if ye be needin' any diggin' or such 'n the future. Ah' find lodges can always be improved upon with a little underground expansion..."
Dunkels presses a discount coupon into the venture captain's hands before turning and rushing out the door in response to the next summons.
"Where we 'eadin'?"

I'm sure Lady Dralneen will be more than happy to help you figure out how to take care of these scrolls. If you want her help, don't hesitate to ask, it his her job to take care of dangerous artefacts like that.
Nevertheless, I was happy to offer you my help in this matter.

It appears The Grinning Pixie has arrived in the harbor, and has requested you accompany Venture-Captain Benarry. While I'm sad to see you leave so soon, I'm glad she has such competent agents serving under her
