Well...that's why I said technically. We'll see what we can do, but you'll have to wait a little while longer :3
And yeah, you prooooooobably don't want to depend too much on satyrs for help, unless you want to be helped out of your clothes - in which case they'll happily oblige you. But there's a plague on which is kind of a buzzkill and this really isn't that kind of roleplaying game anyway...

GM Ladile |

Oh no.
This felt like such an understatement that it had me laughing and laughing and laughing!

I shouldn't have eaten so many red herrings...

GM Ladile |

Hey guys, I've been feeling a bit run-down lately and have spent a fair bit of my free time sleeping and catching up on sleep. This is my weekend to work though and so I'll aim to get an update done either before I head to work tonight or perhaps later in the evening if my shift isn't too busy. Thanks for your patience!

![]() |

Don't overdo it, MiLady. We'll wait. Truly, we will. Go get some snuggle time from Dyer and some {hugs} from the hubby, and when you're ready we'll be here.
I'm actually in the simulator thru the weekend, so it's a good time for a slow down for me, too.

![]() |

Sleep is important. We'll be fine here.

GM Ladile |

Guys! We're almost done with this scenario! :O
But I've already got our next one prepped and ready to go! :D
Paladins and other characters who feel SUPER STRONGLY about dealing and/or possibly cooperating with shady characters might find this one a bit awkward, tho. I mean, it's kinda in the title and all.
Just sayin'.
>.>

Vosk Lazav |

Sounds like just another day in the life! ;)

Vosk Lazav |

Long day with Open House (parents meet the teachers, so we have to put on a bit of a dog and pony show) after school today, so no posts. Please bot as needed!

![]() |

By the way, we have a surprise round- is that move or standard action only? Because if it's full, Meredith and Denair would double move.

![]() |

Okay, then my actions haven't changed. I'm just making sure.

GM Ladile |

I'll give Annea a little more time to post and Vosk a chance to redo his Surprise Round action if he likes. I believe Frankie's player may be out of pocket this weekend so I'll bot/delay him if necessary.

GM Ladile |

So, apropos of nothing...who here is interested in doing some PFS2 stuff at some point in the next few months? While I was thinking of maybe taking the month of December off from GMing, I think I'm also about ready to try my hand at GMing some PF2 stuff - maybe during December or maybe just after the New Year.
At this point I don't know if I'd be starting another 'set' group like this one and TL;DR but depending on response it's something I'd be willing to at least consider.

Vosk Lazav |

No PF2 for me, but thank you :)

Bring on all the PFS2 you can handle! I can't wait for Summoners to become official so I can roll out my synthesis idea that I can't do in PFS1.
Also, my Sorceress and her pet wolf are ready to go.

![]() |

And that's how you do Strike Team Tactics.
...unless it turns out she's a nice lady and we interrupted the ritual to cleanse the filth. Whoopsie!

GM Ladile |

Yeah, that was SUPER effective :O
Re: PF2 - Hokay! To those who expressed interest, I'll hit you up via PM later on when I'm nearing ready to begin. And to everyone, I'll offer some reassurance that I still plan to continue GMing PF1 stuff too so there'll hopefully be something to suit everyone :)

A rain of thorns and arrows falls from the sky. Seven down by the end of Round 1. Wow.
But who is she? And Why?

Mysteries~
(More seriously, there'll be some Villain Exposition because, I mean, why not?)

![]() |

Maybe I couldn't find it, but I didn't see that you said what the Save was. I assumed Fort, but didn't know if I should include the +1 from the black cumin or not. So I peeked at the Spellcraft OOC, and then looked up the spell.
So, first off, it's a Will save. Second, the spell says: "The spell deals only half damage to creatures who are neither evil nor good, and they are not sickened. Such a creature can reduce the damage by half again (down to one-quarter) with a successful Will save."
QC is LN. I'll roll the save to reduce the damage, but I don't think he's subject to the Sickening. Correct?

GM Ladile |

Yes. I did not type that post under ideal circumstances, so apologies for the confusion.

Vosk Lazav |

Yes. I did not type that post under ideal circumstances, so apologies for the confusion.
Lol that's when I make most of my mistakes too :P

GM Ladile |

Yeah, it's hard to hold a conversation, play with the cat, and try to write a post all at once :P

Vosk Lazav |

...yup, totally what I had in mind... :P *pushes the gin and tonic out of sight*

![]() |

Bah, just when I was gonna high five my Great Fortitude feat!
Not that it would have affected the results, since Meredith made it by 3.

GM Ladile |

...yup, totally what I had in mind... :P *pushes the gin and tonic out of sight*
Ooooh.
Not in my particular case. I don't like the taste of most 'adult beverages' so I can usually count the number of times I have any in a given year on one hand :)

I gave up beer many years ago when I realized I actually hated it. I'd only been drinking the stuff because everyone else was.
Though if I ever meet Gummy Bear at a con, we're clinking glasses of G&T!!
Yeah, it's hard to hold a conversation, play with the cat, and try to write a post all at once :P
Play with cat. Type post. Play with cat. Fix post from cat on keyboard. Answer Hubby's question - from 2 questions ago. Play with cat. Type ... something....? Repeat.

GM Ladile |

Once again, I had a bunch of interruptions while typing that post so I hope I accounted for everything...but who knows...

GM Ladile |

Hubster just approved my motion for the acquisition of a New Pal for Dyer, so maybe once that happens there'll be a few less cat-related posting interruptions?
Nah, probably not. But at least he'll have another cat to interact and play with when we're asleep/at work :)
Not that we DON'T play with him but he's got that Young Cat Energy that can be hard to burn off, even with multiple play sessions with his humans...

Yeah! This Hubster sounds pretty awesome. You should probably keep him, too.
Oh, and don't forget to spay and neuter.
The cats. Not Hubsters....

Be prepared for craziness cat racing, rumbling, tumbling, biting, and fun. Probably a bit less sleep too.

So, this is the girl I mentioned in This Spoiler? QC doesn't know about this, because he wasn't in the shop when the story was told. I'm just reminding the players of what everyone else heard.
Also, if you're a cat fan, check out Breaking Cat News. No, the People don't understand what the cats say, but the cats understand People-speak.

Vosk Lazav |

Damn Quang Chi good call on that question!

GM Ladile |

Yeah! This Hubster sounds pretty awesome. You should probably keep him, too.
Yeah, he's pretty spiffy :)
Oh, and don't forget to spay and neuter.
The cats. Not Hubsters....
That said, while two cats are certainly better than one, one Hubster is PLENTY :P

![]() |

Not trying to derail the conclusion but there is no way Annea would be alright with just letting her go with absolutely no consequences given the amount of pain, suffering and death she has caused.

![]() |

Meredith wasn't gonna let her go but rather put her in the custody of the Pathfinder Society. Falcon's Hollow is too corrupt for Meredith's tastes, they'll just blame the fey for this.

GM Ladile |

Oh, of course she shouldn't get off scot-free. Her actions have definitely resulted in a number of deaths: most of the loggers from the logging camp (minus the 3 or 4 you escorted back to town for treatment) and who-knows-how-many fey in the forest. And also the crazy ex-druids that she roped into her scheme, if you care about those guys.
I'll try to get another Vondrella response up shortly (working this weekend) but on the whole, I'm going to let you guys work it out among yourselves as to what you do with her. You can absolutely turn her over to the authorities in Falcon's Hollow, you can place her in the custody/care of the Pathfinder Society, turn her over to the fey, or basically warn her to leave and never return to the area.
Technically the scenario assumes that you either kill her or that she manages to get away. I'm allowing for a more RP-driven resolution here because Vondrella's fate doesn't affect your scenario rewards and because I think it adds to the story of your characters, especially Meredith/Denair and Annea.

![]() |

Sounds like we have a lot of options, here.
- Falcon's Hollow
- Queen Syntria
- Pathfinder Society
- Let her go
I'm fine with anything except letting her go. I'd prefer the Pathfinder Society most of all, as Falcon's Hollow will turn to mob justice, and the fey punishment will be quite cruel.
Meredith sees the similarities between Vonderella and the Queen of Thorns. Both slighted by humanity, they made a swift and brutal retribution amongst the people and those nearby. Meredith was granted a second chance as a human, and she'd like to offer the chance to Vonderella. She wants justice, not revenge, and worries about Falcon's Hollow or the Darkmoon Wood dealing cruel punishments.
Also the Pathfinder Society will be able to get some good information about Urgathoa's rituals out of Vonderella.
For Denair, the blood of the fey (and the humans, too) are on Vonderella's hands. But Denair is so fed up she can't think straight. (also I don't get 2 votes just because I play a PC and eidolon.)

![]() |

Frankie would side with whatever seems the least cruel and brutal. But he is gullible and can be easy convinced by anyone in the group, assuming he doesn't see her killed. Frankie always will see the good in someone and assume they deserve a second chance, in some form.

GM Ladile |

Btw, just so we don't drag out the conclusion too long, I'll probably run with Rule of Two (or definitely Rule of Three since that'd be the majority) as to what happens to Vondrella.
As I mentioned maybe a week or two ago I've got our next scenario prepped and ready to go but I'll likely take my usual week-long break between scenarios before I start that one up.

![]() |

Gaah! Paizo ate my post from a couple days ago. I blame the 2E goblins.
I was kind of angling to get us an audience with the Queen. Principally for Meredith's RP and character development. This was supposed to be the "fey adventure" but all we did was meet some satyrs. I get that it's waaaayyyyy off the rails of the printed scenario, but that's never stopped us before :)

![]() |

Annea is also in favor of meeting the Fey Queen. Like Meredith Annea's background is nature orientated and a chance to meet the Fey would be great for Annea's own backstory and character development.

GM Ladile |

Yeah, off the rails a bit but that's okay! Let me see what I can wrangle and I'll hopefully be able to get you guys a satisfactory update either later this evening or possibly tomorrow. Technically I'm off work tonight (until next Tuesday night) but posting is always hit-or-miss that first night off because I'm usually still kinda tired.
