Avarus covered in blood raises his blade as he moves ahead through the downed aspis beside Dario to flank the last remaining target. Lord in Iron you have blessed me this day, claim another!

not sure about movement and combat on the ice. Movement is 15' to spot on map. If I need double movement, ok.

Dario grits his teeth and lashes out with his sword at the remaining Aspis.

Avarus' attack is stopped by the man's shield and Zanakor's attack goes wide. Dario on the other hand manages to wound the man. Ignoring Dario the remaining Aspis steps over to further engage Avarus swinging his long sword in an attempt to avenge his sister.

"Well, that was a messy welcome." Dario sheathes his rapier and then leans down to search the bodies of the Aspis Agents. He also pulls out a wand. "Skarr, are you alright?"
The Professor heals himself with the wand. "Anyone else? We probably should get inside quickly."

Avarus takes a second look over the bodies and begins to fully view the area they just brought into sight.

Once completed he views himself and his gear. Blood covers Avarus and sadly much of it is his own.
Well all that was our welcoming entourage. I am sure there are more of them and much stronger. Anyone got a little love for these scratches, it seems a few blades found their mark.

Skaarr is unconscious for another 15 or so seconds after the battle ends. Those watching see his wounds slowly knit shut and his breathing grow stronger until suddenly his eyes snap open. "Bir Orc öldürmək üçün daha çox çəkir," he mutters to himself, blinking several times and shaking his head.
He slowly gets to his feet. Seeing Westone looking at him concernedly, Skaarr says, "I'll live, but I wouldn't say no to a charge from that wand. I'll pay you for it. 15 gold, no?"

The Half-elf nods. "Fine by me. I need you alive too or this will all go south." He taps Skarr and Avarus with the wand.

The Professor casts a spell and his eyes flash blue for a moment. He looks over the equipment from the Aspis.

"Thank you, Dario," Skaar says, handing over 15 gold coins. "I do not accept charity, but I only have enough for one charge at the moment. I will pay you the rest after our mission."

"Perhaps I should hang back and let my cousin here go first this time," Skaarr continues after being healed, motioning to Avarus.

Xerance walks over, a little wobbely across he ice even though she has her cleats on. She never had to walk over ice before.
"Is everyone okay? Why would they attack us without asking us who we were. They had no reason for their aggression."

Avarus |

Avarus nods in acceptance from the aid provided by the Professor. He gathers a few of the items (Bronze Aspis badge (3), cleats, & thunderstone) from the bodies.
There are 2 more pair of cleats here if anyone wants them.
Avarus puts on the cleats, puts away his boots and other newly acquired material. (Badges and Boots in backpack, thunderstone in belt pouch.) He wipes clean his blade with the undershirt from one of the dead and stands up. Skarr, it is good to see you did not perish this first test. Eyeing the now healed Skarr he states Your magic is strong and we will need you. Looking around at the group Avarus continues, We will need you all if we are to succeed, now let's move on.
Avarus stands up and takes the lead with axe in hands. He begins walking toward the opening and heads up the stairs. Let's take a look what these dead were protecting.

Stuffy and hot, this shrine has been transformed into a guardhouse and barracks for the Consortium's henchmen. The smell of cooking food fills the air, and the poorly vented fire, burning in the shrine's southwest corner, leaves a smokky haze in the room. Everywhere there are signs of a hurried collection of artifacts-the walls are covered in an elaborate relief sculpture, its surface marred with deep gouges where parts of its face were haphazardly carved from the larger whole, and a number of niches in the wall now lie empty, their icons and relics absent.

Was Dario able to ID the potions? And was anything else magical?
Dario studies the reliefs on the walls. "Fascinating. Hopefully the Aspis have not stolen everything here."

Avarus looks out into a corridor that is cut off by the glacier. To the north there seems to be another hallway running along side a huge dome like structure.
As Skaarr has already confirmed the fire is still going. There was some stuff I left out about some faction mission stuff burning but it no longer matters since we don't use those anymore.

Dario hands one of the potions to Avarus and the others to Skarr. "For later, though I can't for the life of me seem to recognize this one." He holds up the oil.
While the others are checking the room, Dario has brought out a small notebook and seems to be trying to sketch a copy of the reliefs. "Fascinating. I believe this is the Vudran god of Charity. Meenashdu, I think."

Avarus |

Taking the potion from Dario, Avarus puts it away with his other like items. He then looks out of the rear opening and turns back to the group. "Enough of this charity god unless he intends to bless us. We have work to do. Let's move out!" Avarus steps out the rear opening and waits on the group to follow.

Dario jumps at Avarus' order, then quickly puts away his journal. "Right, right. We have a job to do." He draws his rapier again and follows the half-orc.

The temple's central sanctum rises from this wide courtyard. Bas relief carvings cover every inch of its curved surface-winsome apsaras, vanara heroes, and avatars of the monkey lord himself all seem frozen in the bone-chilling cold. In stark contrast with the celestial beings carved on the sanctum's outer walls, a carved throng of evil covers the walls of the courtyard itself-fiendish asuras, great black nagas, and goblinoid hordes are frozen in stone as they besiege the mountain rising from the temple's center.

Avarus turns to the group and whispers, "Ok everyone be as quiet as possible."
Avarus moves as quietly as possible toward the next doorway listening for any signs of life. With Axe in hands he eases forward.

Zan hangs his pair of cleats at the side of his backpack before following Avarus. As Avarus stumbles a bit over his cleats, Zan walks forward and holds up a hand to help steady him while peering over to his right and left, wary of more enemies who most likely heard their battle earlier.
I have to admit, this is a really cool place; both figuratively and literally...

Avarus hears Xerence but stops to take a second look, "Xerance you are looking good! That green your wearing suits you. It must be something in the air here."
He looks again and the visions have gone. Hmm, oh well
Avarus turns and moves out to the clearing.
"Why thank you Avarus. You look pretty today too! Why I think I have a scarf in my backpack here that would really go well with your eyes."[/n]
Xerance rummages a bit in her backpack before pulling out a nice flashy red scarf and ties it around Averus'neck.

Dario rushes up and sees the man and his pet. He slips a hand in one pocket and comes out with a ball of butter. He tosses it at the man's feet. "Scivolare e far scorrere!"
