Shaeda Stormborn |

Hmmm, I'd probably toss the +1 shock kukri back into the pile, if I can get my whip magicked up with shock. It's already +1.
My wants in new gear this time around would be to add another +1 to my armor and adding shock to the whip.

Tronar HanFrum |

Ok I put both rings on (and have no qualms about giving back if we find a better use) and I loaded up on all the wands. Everything in orange I've added to my character sheet and can be deleted from the party loot.

Shaeda Stormborn |

I took the scroll of sending as it seems I'm the only user. No other scrolls like that. Green background color.
I am NOT taking all of that undead controlling stuff!
cloak of resistance +2
Anyone? I have a +1 now.
Potions and headbands?
silversheen?
Searok, any of those weapons? We should upgrade Searok's weapon, whatever he chooses it to be! Ziranu also needs a pimped out bow. Pimping my whip is much less important, although more +s on my armor is also more +s to you guys when I Bodyguard you.

Searok Ironbeard |

I do have a shock warhammer and a warhammer is the favored weapon of his god, Trudd, so unless we find a warhammer that is better than +1/shock warhammer (furious), he wouldn't be interested. He does have a heavy crossbow, so if we find a better one he might be interested.

Shaeda Stormborn |

There is a +1 holy light crossbow. Against evil things (which is probably most things), it will do more damage (+2d6) than your heavy one, AND it will be good aligned and piercing, so like it would have been smoking the rakshasha we've been fighting.
There are also headbands for +2 INT and CHA, which one would Searok like?
Anyone for the +2 cloak? I see Searok has one.

Searok Ironbeard |

That crossbow would be a good ranged weapon. The headband of CHA would also be good for Intimidate checks...
Let me know if anyone has any issue with me taking either one and I will delete it of the list and add them to my character sheet....

Shaeda Stormborn |

Searok, take those two items.
I see I'm the only one without a Cloak +2 or better, so I'm taking it, and swapping in my +1 cloak. I'll also keep the incense of meditation, you never know!
Ziranu is taking the Headband of INT and the Bull Strength potions.
I'm turning the "sell value" multiplier to 0 for everything PCs have claimed, and coloring the rows.
Ok, that means the "sell value" of the rest of the loot is 100,101.75.
Call it 25,000 each, and we give the 101.75 to the local representative of Calistria as a donation?
I have a belief that Searok hasn't gotten as much loot from the adventure as me, so I'd be good with making my whip shocking (6k), a +1 to my armor (5k), and then he can use some of my remainder for upgrading his armor and weapons as needed.

Shaeda Stormborn |

Kamro, can we do a quick spending spree then? Take the weekend for admin stuff, and then on Monday we hit the adventurer's trail again!

Shaeda Stormborn |

Searok, is your current weapon both shock and furious? If so, that's +3 equivalent, it will take 14k to make it +4, right? As stated above, I'll chip into that! We need you dishing out uber damage!

Searok Ironbeard |

Yep, both Shock and Furious, so I should rage more than I do to get that furious damage going.
I think spending 14K to make it a +2 shock and furious warhammer would be a good investment.

Shaeda Stormborn |

Or, shock, furious and another energy?
The question being, do you want +1/+1, or would another 1d6 damage be nice? Your call entirely.

Shaeda Stormborn |

Kamro: When it comes to overcoming certain DRs, where specific materials are concerned, a +3 weapon can overcome that DR. In some games, one would consider the cumulative +s including those from special abilities, and Searok's weapon would currently qualify as +3 for that purpose. How are we playing that in your game? Although, as an aside, if Searok is raging, his weapon will be +3 now anyways, due to being Furious.

Searok Ironbeard |

I do like extra energies. Maybe a Thundering property.
That would be the following:
25,000 GP
-14,000 to add thundering
-5,000 to make my +2 breastplate a +3
-6,000 to make my +2 belt of Mighty Con a +4
I think I figured that out correctly.
@GM: If I did figure these numbers correctly, are these enhancements approved?

Shaeda Stormborn |

It costs 12k to take your +2 belt to +4, but as previously stated, I want to spend:
6k to add shocking to my whip shocking
5k to make my armor +2, benevolent
I can give you the extra 6k you need for your belt.
Leaving me with 8k.
Hmmm, what to spend my 8k on?
I could make my armor +3, benevolent for another 7k!
And then maybe another 1st level Pearl?

GM Kamro |

Kamro, can we do a quick spending spree then? Take the weekend for admin stuff, and then on Monday we hit the adventurer's trail again!
Works for me.

Eh, sure, I'll allow it. It's equivalent in power and price.

Tronar HanFrum |

Ok my initial spend plan:
Up the +2 Int stat to +4 Int stat = 12K gp
metamagic Rod of Extend = 11K gp
Buy a scroll and copy Black Tentacles = 860gp (because it doesn't have SR dang it!)
and save the rest for a rainy day.

Shaeda Stormborn |

Searok thanks Shaeda for the money for his belt.
Shaeda smacks Searok on the ass saying, ”now get out there and kill s&$$!”

Ziranu Barova |

Ziranu's initial spend plan:
Lesser Bracers of Archery: 5000
Belt of Incredible Dex +2: 4000
Cracked Pale Green Prism Ioun Stone: 4000
Dust of Disappearance: 3500
Amulet of Natural Armor +1: 2000
Ring of Protection +1: 2000
Adaptive Quality on Bow: 1000
Total: 21500
Saving the remainder, for the present...

Shaeda Stormborn |

What do we "qualify" for? For example, if Shaeda chooses Whip of Vengeance, she basically gets to pick another combat feat, because she gets Whip Mastery. Does she also count as being 6th level to get Improved Whip Mastery?

Tronar HanFrum |

Shadow's Sight (Ex) (Ultimate Intrigue pg. 15): The vigilante gains low-light vision and darkvision 60 feet. If he already had darkvision, its range increases by 30 feet.
@GM yes?

Shaeda Stormborn |

Searok or Ziranu: Signature Weapon? Gain both Weapon Focus and Weapon Specialization with one weapon.
Searok: Shadow's Speed? Add 20' to your movement!
Searok: Strike the Unseen? Blind Fighting and Improved Blind Fighting.
Searok: Shield of Blades? Get Power Attack for free, and get a shield bonus to AC equal to your PA penalty.

Shaeda Stormborn |

Stick by me Searok, with my upgraded armor and such, I now have a 95% chance of giving you +7 Dodge bonus to AC with Bodyguard, and after the first round of combat that will rise to +9! You'll never die now! Of course they'll start kicking my ass instead!

Ziranu Barova |

Personally looking at Hide in Plain Sight, Signature Weapon, Shadow's Speed, Stalker Sense, and Take Em' Alive. First may be the most "powerful" from an abilities perspective, while the last may be best "lessons learned" from our near-continuous need to question folks to unravel this intrigue, vice simply kill them.

Ziranu Barova |

Ziranu Updates:
- Forgoing the Amulet of Natural Armor +1 for the present, given his current number of Barkskin potions.
- Going with the Take 'Em Alive Vigilante Talent, for the above reasons. Many thanks to Vencarlo; sounds like he would rather we dial back our kill-to-capture ratio, in any event!
- Acquiring more arrows, and particularly more blunt arrows, to replace the 53 total arrows he's expended since his previous resupply.

Ziranu Barova |

Other questions or comments in the gameplay, team?
On the Vigilante Talents (super cool), I note the following:
Shaeda: Whip of Vengeance
Ziranu: Take 'Em Alive
Searok: ???
Tronar: ???

Tronar HanFrum |

Shadows Sight (see above) 90' darkvision in a world of 60' darkvision folks seems like a good thing.
PS--for my language I get for Int bump. Shoanti it is...but I really don't think you want me doing the diplomacy with a -1.

Ziranu Barova |

Ah - makes perfect sense!
BTW - I took Shoanti as well for my Int bump, and have the same -1 Diplomacy score. Shaeda will need to be in best form!
Anyone know what Vigilante Talent Searok selected? I think we're otherwise as ready as we're going to get.

Searok Ironbeard |

I think I might stick with the Mad Rush Talent. Making a Full Attack when charging might be useful. Plus with Shaeda BGing him, the -4 AC might not be much of a concern.
I am assuming that the Full Attack is also adding in the +2 bonus for a normal charge?

Ziranu Barova |

Doesn't Mad Rush require being 12th level to take it, though? Kamro said that we otherwise needed to still be "eligible," which I thought meant the level issue, since none of us are actually Vigilantes.

Shaeda Stormborn |

Then I will go with Shadow Speed.
Searok will be winning all of the foot races at his next clan reunion! +10' for Barbarian +20' for Vigilante.
You can run a 100m in 9.84s. The World Record is 9.58s.
However, you can run 440m in 43.31s. The World Record is 44.5s.
Now, if you take the Run feat, then suddenly you are just crushing those records with your 5x running speed!
