Hello GM, I am looking at the roll20 map but I cannot see any enemies. I moved Anastasia's icon into the same rooms as Shaeda though.

She's there, but hard to see. She's in the square just to my left.

@Anastasia I've tinted the hag's token blue, so hopefully it'll be easier to spot.

So I took a glance at the loot list.

Why isn't Searok swinging the +1 Undead Bane Obsidian Great Axe? At least for tis dungeon?

Does Ziranu need the +2 Lance in perpetuity, or is that a temp thing?

@GM Kamro: Thanks for giving the download of the story. I know in the games I GM, I know the overview of the story, and it is hard sometimes for the PC's to know the overall purpose and why they are doing what they are doing. I might have to incorporate a similar strategy in my games.

It's a crime how much backstory exists for the plots of the APs that the PCs have no way of ever discovering!

Yeah, I think they include a bunch of story so the GM will have it if it becomes relevant, but there's very little way to integrate it organically. Which is a shame, a lot of it is pretty good stuff.

This sounds like the GM giving us more backstory than the module would normally provide, and I'm digging it.

Yeah, this whole "the tower is an artifact from the dawn of time and will lead to important character development to your allies" thing is, like, almost perfunctory in the AP as written. No foreshadowing, you're just expected to wander in, kill the monster, and wander back out with the sword, going "That was weird, right?"

I figured since we're reducing the whole dungeon-crawly aspect of this chapter anyway by just pointing to the sword with a magic GPS, I might as well also make the monster-and-sadistic-choice-and-possible-redemption-for-Laori thing come less out of nowhere.

There is so much rich lore to be had, and I love how you feed it to us, unlike the way the Paizo writers kept it to themselves and the GM.

One of them has a red X over him, and the other is NE of Searok. I think their icons have a transparent background, so you don't see a whole square like you do with all of us.

Yeah, they're overhead tokens, and kinda thin and spindly.
