A bard or some other face type character might be nice. I am not as familiar with 5E classes so its hard to say what classes can/are good at being party faces.
Halsere Chael-Oren
Sorcerers make good faces with the right background, as do Warlocks... nothing intimidates like a warlock.
Thyra Fireforge
I won't be able to finish leveling until I get home from work today, sorry guys.
I'm off at 6pm Pacific Standard Time, so I should be able to get leveled up by 7 pm hopefully.

Not a problem; getting a 5th player isn't instantaneous anyway, and this is probably the most logical place to insert them, so we'll pause briefly here.
And really, I figured there would be a pause whenever we leveled anyway, which is part of why I'm not doing XP; don't want that pause to come right in the middle of the action. "Chapter breaks" are much better places to pause and level up.
Thyra Fireforge
Thyra gets average hitpoints of 6 + her Con(3) for a total of +9 hitpoints.
I also get my action surge ability which lets me take an extra action during my turn. I can only get it back with a short or long rest.
Otherwise, didn't look I got too much more than that :)
Mirrel
I present Mirrel for scrutiny. Bard with face-skills (in fact with pretty much every skill thanks to stat rolls + jack-of-all trades*). He's also proficient with thieves' tools and good with traps/secret doors - a reformed burglar out to turn over a new leaf and impress the Order of the Griffon.
* Jiggy, I've just left his stats as they came, but they're hard up to the right of the bell curve. Let me know if you think I need an achilles heel.
Halsere Chael-Oren
Its a tricky one Mirrel.
Think I'll still go a single level rogue dip after all. Light armour and perception are too good to pass up. I'll be +5 thieves tools but it never helps to have a back up.
That said I need to buy thieves tools.
Halsere Chael-Oren
Now expertise perception is good.
I will expertise in theives tool I think. That was we have the rogue angle covered well and you back me up. And you have the social well covered and I back you up.
Halsere Chael-Oren
Now need studded leather armour, a few more daggers (nothing wrong with being a knife fighter in 5th ed) and some theives tools.
Hoping the order of the griffin may help.
Thyra Fireforge
I might be misunderstanding or not seeing, how is your damage 1d8 + 4? Wouldn't it be only +2 because of your strength is 14?
Thyra Fireforge
Patting the new bard on the back with a hearty slap and speaking the gutteral language of Mountain Dwarves "Það er gott að hafa annað að tala Dwarven með. That makes me happy enough to have ya, hah!
Mirrel
Mirrel speaks slowly at first as he recalls the language he learnt as a child "Það er gott að þekkja þig. Þú verður að fyrirgefa fátækum tala mína."
I like google translate for that. Nice one.
GM Jiggy

I don't think you actually get armor prof when you multiclass into rogue. I know the fighter only gives light/medium, and I think most of the others give nothing. Double check that.
And speaking of buying armor, you guys should figure out what you want to buy with all that gold I gave you in the opening post.

So we were paid 500 in advance? I thought the money would come later... great to hear. I know I have stuff to buy.

Your background is blank, though it looks like you accounted for its proficiencies/items already. Criminal?

Buying
Disguise kit 25gp
Thieves tools 25gp
1 daggers 2gp
6 Darts 3sp
Studded leather armour 45gp
Change from 100gp = 2.7gp
**So we got 125gp each or 100gp each?
Pietro Elitov
Besides camping gear and a couple of healing potions, I'm not sure what to buy. Upgrading my armor would be 200 gp, and there's no way to upgrade weapons, is there?
Thyra Fireforge
Count me in for getting some camping gear, food and a healing potion, maybe a compass too? I'll do the calculations during my lunch but there won't be anything out of the ordinary on my list.
Pietro Elitov
I have navigator's tools which I'm proficient in.
We should have 125 each, since Mirrel was not hired by Lord Korrigan.
Thyra Fireforge
Ah okay, I hadn't seen that! Makes sense though since you are/were a sailor, I think?
Either way, I'll have my list tallied up when I can in a couple hours.

The wolves' den is two-ish days away.
--------------------------
Also, a note on overland travel and the monsters roaming the wilderness:
It occurs to me that on the one hand, "random encounters" would help reinforce the notion that the wilderness is not a safe place; but on the other hand, when you're traveling for more than a day, any encounters which don't cost any nonrenewable resources will ultimately be irrelevant, since we're not using XP and they'll have their effects undone by the night's rest.
So what I think I'll do is for any day in which you do nothing but travel, I'll just narrate you through, with a mention of what you might have seen that day. On the day you arrive at your destination, I'll roll for the possibility of a random encounter, since that can still have an effect on the "real" activities of the day.
Any objections to that method?
Thyra Fireforge
I already had a Dungeoneer's Pack, and a few other basic essentials, which has:
A Backpack, crowbar, a hammer, 10 pitons, 10 torches, a tinderbox, 10 days of rations, a waterskin and 50 ft of hempen rope.
I'll be buying:
Another Waterskin - 2 sp
1 Healing Potion - 50 gp
Two-Person Tent - 5 gp
Manacles - 2 gp
a Flask of Holy water - 25 gp
4 more days of Trail Rations(In case we get really lost)- 8 sp
Total : 83 gp, so 125 - 83 = 42 gp left over.
Spidre
*some stuff*
Any objections to that method?
Sounds good to me. As long as you narrate my full glory. Which is a lot.

Yes, sorry. Long out of it though. Honest.
I'll tidy that up when I get home from work. I'll also grab some food and some odds and sods (only 15gp worth) but won't be able to get to that for a few hours...
